Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

Ten minutes after they had entered the club and Jasmine who has always been the first person to initiate drinking did not make any attempt to touch the bottle of wine and this made the others a little worried.

"Jasmine, what is wrong, you haven't poured the drink into your glass. Are you perhaps feeling unwell?" Jeff asked worried amid the loud music and the bubbling of the club.

"After what happened the last time I decided to abstain from alcohol. I will only drink when it is necessary. I don't want the same thing to happen again," Jasmine said as she leaned on Kai's shoulders. The way she has been staring in the direction of the entrance showed that she was waiting for someone.

"Something happened to you and whom? What exactly did you do at your drunken state?" Jeff asked trying to get Jasmine to reveal the truth to them.

"You don't have to know what happened but all you need to know is that alcohol is my enemy. I am staying away from it," Jasmine said in a serious tone.

Judging from her personality I am sure she wouldn't have decided to do this if it was something minor that happened. I am sure something huge must have happened which is why she is acting this way so why don't I get her to tell us what happened. I am sure we can definitely assist Jack more if we know their little secret.

Evelyn thought grinning evilly. She quickly thought of what to do to make her reveal the truth to them. She smirked devilishly when she finally came up with an idea.

"Jasmine you invited us to the club and now you are saying you can't drink. How do you expect us to drink if the host won't even give us the honour of drinking with her?" Evelyn said faking a displeased expression.

"Since I set my eyes on you, I have always thought that we would make really good friends. It has always been my wish to drink with you to show you my sincerity but hearing your words now I guess my wish won't come true. You don't want to be my friend," Evelyn said pretending to be very sad.

She is damn good at acting. I am sure Jasmine will fall for her tricks. I wonder what she is up to. Let me help her so I can see what her plan is by pretending like this.

Jeff sitting beside Catherine thought smiling inwardly.

"Yeah, Jasmine if you won't even drink then where is the fun there? As far as you have decided not to drink tonight then we won't drink also," Jeff said to the displeasure of Catherine who immediately nudged him by his ribs.

"She is my best friend so why are you joining Evelyn to force Jasmine into drinking when she obviously doesn't want to do it?" Catherine scolded him in a low tone.

"She is my friend too. I won't do anything that will harm her ok. She obviously wants to drink but doesn't want to, can't you see that?" Jeff asked before he shifted his attention to Jasmine who has sat up properly.

"Isn't it just to drink? I will do it. There is no need to make a fuss about it by threatening me. Kai is here to protect me so I am sure that I will be fine," Jasmine said as she stretched her hand and grab hold of a bottle of wine out of all the bottles of wine displayed on the table. She wanted to drink it from the bottle but Kai stopped her and made her use the wine glass instead.

The others began drinking after Jasmine initiated it. They all patiently waited for Jackson to join them in the club but he didn't come even after about thirty minutes of staying in the club.

"Why isn't Jack here yet? Did he perhaps encounter an accident on the way?" Steve thought worriedly as he stared in the direction of the entrance with the hopes of getting a glimpse of him but hell no, he was nowhere to be seen.

Another five minutes later, Jasmine dropped the glass of wine on the table and turned to face Kai. He was the only one among them who hasn't tasted alcohol that night.

Everyone on the table focused their attention on the two of them the instant they saw her cup Kai's face.

"Jasmine, are you already drunk?" Kai asked feeling very uncomfortable about their closeness.

"You are not only rich but also tall and handsome. I know deep down that you are a very nice guy. I don't hate you but I dislike the fact that you are the one father choose to be my husband," Jasmine said as she caressed his face.

"I have told him that I don't want to get married, not to you or any man but my father won't just listen to me. I don't want to do anything that will hurt you since you have been very kind to me but I am helpless Kai. I have run out of options," Jasmine said as she looked into his eyes. Kai could see that everything she said was sincere.

"I... I...," Kai said not knowing what to say to comfort her.

At first, he never liked the idea of getting into an arranged marriage. He only agreed to it to make his mother happy. But getting to spend more time with Jasmine has slowly changed his stance about the marriage. He doesn't want to see her sad but he also doesn't want to see his mother heartbroken. His mother might refuse to ever talk to him if he is the one to cancel the marriage arrangement. He is as helpless as she is.

"Jasmine...," Kai was stunned when Jasmine kissed him out of the blues. Everyone on the table was utterly shocked. Their eyes almost fell out of their sockets. They watched as Jasmine wrapped her hands around his neck for a deeper kiss. The surprised Kai slowly responded to her kisses.
