Monster Hunting High School

Chapter 136: The shocks that follow

The eyes of Professor Yao and most of the students in the class fell on the dog that came without warning.

Jiang Yu and Xiao Xiao looked at Zheng Qing at the same time.

Because the two of them knew the origin of the dog, especially Jiang Yu. She and Zheng Qing were under the cat fruit tree in the afternoon and saw the dog turn into a shadow and disappear on the grass.

Like the two of them, Zheng Qing also looked confused at this moment.

"Whose dog is this?!" Professor Yao asked, raising his voice.

The classroom was silent, and no one wanted to admit that they were related to this strange dog. There were a few eyes that glanced at Zheng Qing, but the young public-funded student kept a straight face from beginning to end and did not show any sign of knowing him.

"Don't ask me to take it to the school working committee for confirmation." The professor emphasized his tone slightly, which made the already dull atmosphere in the classroom even more depressing.

After a while, there was still silence in the classroom.

The eyes of the students were secretly lingering on the dog and the professor. Gouzi also seemed to be aware of the ominous atmosphere in the air. His tail that was swinging happily was folded under his buttocks, and his two small black eyes were glistening, looking around with an innocent look.

Professor Yao finally couldn't hold himself back - he couldn't let an inexplicable puppy disrupt the normal class meeting - he took the pipe from his mouth and knocked the desk with the pot:

"Ge Zhitanxi!"

Several streaks of green exploded from the desk and hovered in the air for several weeks, like venomous snakes that had smelled delicious food and rushed to the puppy sitting in the corner of the classroom.

Zheng Qing had no time to react and could only see a few green lights flashing in front of his eyes.

"Snapped……"

When the vines were tightened, they made a crisp crackling sound, as if someone had snapped their fingers a few times, making everyone who heard it feel chilled in their hearts. Whether it was the professor's sudden attack or the slightly rough arresting method, it seemed a bit unusual.

But what is even more surprising is that Professor Yao actually missed it.

Although those canes were very fast, they still flew into the air. The moment the canes fell on him, the puppy turned into a shadow and disappeared from everyone's sight in the blink of an eye. Its panicked 'meow' still lingered in the air.

Zheng Qing's eyes flashed.

Professor Yao, who was standing on the podium just now, appeared in front of the window sill the next moment. The vines summoned by the binding spells turned into little green lights and disappeared as he arrived. The professor lowered his head and carefully looked at the traces of the dog on the windowsill with a serious expression.

"Professor?" Monitor Downton's somewhat uneasy voice sounded in the classroom.

Professor Yao seemed unaware and frowned tightly. Because of the close distance, Zheng Qing could vaguely see the professor's nose twitching slightly. This discovery made his throat feel dry.

The young wizard twisted in his seat uneasily and looked around. Many people were whispering to each other, whispering about the origin of the puppy. Xiao Xiao was taking notes on the side, while Jiang Yu was holding Li Meng's shoulders and whispering something in her ear.

"Professor!" Downton raised his voice slightly.

"Huh?" Professor Yao finally came back to his senses, glanced at Downton, and then noticed a somewhat commotion in the class. He chuckled softly, left the window sill, and took two steps forward.

He happened to be standing next to Zheng Qing.

Zheng Qing held his breath.

"A very interesting little thing... used a very clever space magic to get rid of the attack of the binding spell." The professor's face did not show any embarrassment after being swayed by the puppy, but instead showed his usual smiling face: "Then the question is: if you were in the position of the puppy just now, and faced with the sudden 'binding spell', what should you do?"

As he spoke, he put the pipe in his hand back into his mouth, and his free hand casually pressed on the young public-funded student's shoulder, pressing twice:

"Zheng Qing, you answer this question."

The young wizard felt that his legs were a little weak. He licked his dry lips, propped himself up with his arms, and replied in a low voice: "The beauty of the peach is as bright as its beauty."

"Excellent! If this was a practical exam, you'd already have half the marks."

The professor patted the young wizard on the shoulder with satisfaction, motioned for him to sit down, and then walked briskly back to the podium, continuing the speech that was interrupted a few minutes ago:

"What about the remaining half? It means being able to use the corresponding spell correctly... I have emphasized before that there are less than ten days before your final exam. You must seize this last critical moment. As the saying goes, sharpen your guns before the battle. It’s not fun but it’s boring… Ten days may make it difficult for you to remember the complex processing methods or combination plans of potions, but ten days can definitely allow you to increase your proficiency in the spells you have learned this school year by a few percentage points…”

Just like that, Professor Yao brushed past the puppy and started talking about how to seize the remaining time before the final exam to improve the practical score in the Charms class.

Zheng Qing listened absently.

On the one hand, it was because Professor Yao just patted him on the shoulder, which made him still a little flustered and short of breath. On the other hand, the way the dog disappeared was exactly the same as before under the cat fruit tree, which also added a bit of shadow to his heart.

Why is that puppy in the classroom? Is it tracking itself or Jiang Yu? Or is this just a coincidence? Did Professor Yao discover something? What does it mean for him to stand beside you? Was he warning himself not to reveal his identity to others, or was he aware that the dog had some connection with him?

One question after another popped up in the wizard's mind, only to be overwhelmed by another. The professor's voice on the podium was very loud, and he could hear every word clearly, but he couldn't understand the meaning of the professor's words.

In this way, Zheng Qing spent the entire weekend meeting in a daze.

Returning to the dormitory at night, Xiao Xiao tried to discuss the puppy with Zheng Qing, but was evaded by the wizard. Because apart from knowing that the dog often went to the cat fruit tree before, could meow, could turn into a shadow and disappear, and even bit him, Zheng Qing didn't know any more than others.

Banner was very interested in the puppy - but it was just out of a journalist's curiosity about new and strange things. He did not intend to waste time on a puppy that imitated the meowing of a cat at such a critical moment at the end of the term. Too much time.

After turning off the lights, Xiao Xiao was still whispering with Fatty about the origin of the puppy.

Zheng Qing squinted his eyes and stared at the dark tent ceiling. His thoughts gradually fell into chaos, but his senses became more and more sensitive. In the darkness, he could slowly hear the different breathing of his roommates, and the little elf. Suddenly, it glides through the air with its wings flashing, and hears the fat cat chirping and snoring.

Then at a certain moment, the young public-funded student suddenly opened his eyes and opened the curtain.

Outside the tent.

Three pairs of green eyes were shining in the dark dormitory.

"ah!!!"

The young wizard screamed in fright.

The dormitory suddenly became bright.
