Monster Integration

3493 Suspicious

Clang Pachac Slice

'Fuck! The journey is turning out to be harder than I had thought.' I said as I fought against the group of monsters attacking me.

It is not just me, but Wanya and Elra are also fighting, while Gamin is keeping the people safe.

It had been eleven hours since we had left the hill, and it was not easy.

The monsters are attacking us constantly, slowing us, injuring us; I had recast the seals on my teammates six times already, and will do it the seventh time after this battle.

Earlier, we didn't face such a problem.

Well, earlier, we weren't moving thirty-one unconscious people, like we were doing right now.

It is making it much easier for the monsters to attack us and while we are dealing with the normal groups just fine; it is hard for us to deal with a group as powerful as we are fighting right now.

Currently, we are fighting against Eleven monsters; there were seventeen of them, but we killed there others.

Wanya is alone fighting against five of them, with three being Peak Earth-Sovereign, while the other two being High-Earth Sovereigns.

I, on the other hand, am fighting against the three monsters and all of them are high-Earth Sovereigns.

The last three are Mid-High Earth Sovereigns, and Elra is having a difficult time dealing with them. It could be said that she is only stopping the monsters from attacking the group, rather than killing them.

Rip. Pachack!

A cat monster's claws ripped through my armor, giving a bloody cut across my chest, but a moment later, I decapitated it.

I could have played it safe, but I am taking the risk, to not fall into the predicaments like earlier, where another group of monsters attacked us, while we were fighting one.

Hun!

A few seconds passed when I looked for a second and saw a man appearing through the trees.

He is a half-elf, with a handsome face and forest-green hair. Has a beautiful Green-black armor covering his body.

He looked at us for a second before joining the battle.

He moved toward the monsters that Wanya was fighting, and she didn't stop him.

He was amazing from the moment; he entered the battlefield.

A longsword appeared in his hand, with powerful heat radiating from it.

It took him just one attack to kill the Peak Earth-Sovereign monster before he killed a High Earth-Sovereign in his second attack and his third attack, he killed the second Peak-Earth Sovereign.

It took him three attacks to kill the third Peak-Sovereign and turned the fifth monster, only to see it killed by Wanya.

He nodded at her and moved to help Elra and killed all three monsters before coming toward me and killing the two, I was fighting.

"Thank you," I said.

He nodded with an impassive face before turning to the group of unconscious people we were carrying.

"What is happening here?" he asked, and I looked at Wanya. "They are a victim of the cultist. We are on a mission to rescue them," she answered, and I could see his tight expressions loosening hearing that.

"Are you guys from Alkaz?" he asked as he turned to Wanya.

"Tor," she said.

"Thank you for saving us; it would have been much harder to deal with these monsters without your help," she thanked, and a small smile appeared on his face.

"It is I should do," he said before his expression turned serious.

"If you don't mind, I could accompany you to the exit?" he offered, and a hesitation appeared on Wanya's face.

"You have already helped us enough; I am sure you would have other things to do here," she said to which, he shook his head.

"I had come here for a thing, which I had got and was just leaving when I came across you guys," he replied.

"Then, we appreciate your help," said Wanya.

"I am Kenys, by the way," he introduced, and we introduce ourselves in return.

I dealt with my injuries quickly and recharged the poison protection seals on my teammates before resuming the journey with Kenys.

His stealth method added another layer of stealth to us, and fewer monsters attacked us. Those who attacked were dealt with immediately, thanks to Kenys, who is very powerful.

Soon, the six hours passed, and in these six hours. We have crossed as much distance as we had crossed in the eleven hours, before that.

If we keep moving at such speed, we will be out of the olis grove within a day.

After that, it will only take us a few hours to cross the small wasteland. We might not even need to do that if we have found a space stable enough there for a red piercer to pull us back into the academy.

A few more hours passed and a few more groups of monsters attacked us.

We cleaved through them with the help of Kenys and continued with our journey.

The half-elf didn't talk much, focusing mostly, on scanning the area with his soul sense and killing the monsters. However, he still told us where he was from and the organization he belonged to.

Like us, he is also from the Silver Prime organization, which is on the southern side of the continent.

He had been out for more than a year. Completing a list of missions from his organization, fighting against the different foes.

"Fuck; I thought we were out of danger zone," cursed Gamin, seeing the group of monsters coming at us.

"This will probably be the last dangerous group coming at us," said Kenys, and a few seconds later, he moved with Wanya, to kill a group of eight monsters attacking us.

I didn't join the battle. However, I took a step forward to deal with any monsters that might escape them.

He and Wanya appeared in front of the monsters and attacked. He killed the Peak Earth-Sovereign Monster with a single attack and dodged the attack from another before attacking the second and killing it.

He moved to kill the third monster, when suddenly the direction of his sword changed a little, while a powerful aura burst out of him.

His attack got stronger and his blade faster, as it moved to decapitate Wanya.

"Wanya!" screamed Elra and Gamin in warning, but could see fear in their eyes and defeat, knowing Wanya, wouldn't be able to defend, with Kenys blade so close to her neck.

I didn't do anything. I just watched with a smile on my face.

The blade was just a few inches away from Wanya, when she turned at an extremely fast speed, coming face to face with Kenys, with her blade appearing in front of his.

The shock was apparent in his eyes; he truly hadn't expected this.

CLANNNNG!

The swords clashed, and Kenys shook, before taking a step back and watching Wanya with shock.

However, it disappeared a moment later and his expressions smoothened, with a smile appearing on his face.

"Well, I tried, but it seemed like killing you all wouldn't be possible," he said and turned to retreat without any hesitation.

That is when he received the biggest shock and a moment later horror appeared on his face, when he realized he couldn't move at all.
