My Destined Werewolf Mate

"Sigh..."

Clenching the bathrobe tighter in her waist, Eva pulled out a deep sigh before lying down on her bed, holding a frown grimace and a perplexed heart. She was fighting her inner turmoils all alone and staring with a blank gaze towards the starry night sky from the giant bedroom window, she stayed all numb. 

"Should I just quit this job? I...I don't think I am much mistaken...How could that awful smell emit out from Mr. Beck? Did I... commit a mistake again by accepting his job offer? Damn it! I am so damn confused! Should I just quit? But... What about my bills? What about looking for a new place to stay? I...I need money right now and the pay is huge there... But what if I indulge myself in a dangerous situation again? What will I do if that happens?"

Conflicted with her inner thoughts, she sighed out again before nuzzling her grimace on the soft pillow. She seemed much fretted and with a blank gaze, once she tried to peek at her phone kept beside her.

A wide smiling face of Zeus appeared on her screen as she turned it on, which unknowingly brought a small simper on her dull, perplexed eloquence just by looking at it. She had set their very first selfie as her phone wallpaper and just by looking at his grin, her heavy heart felt a bit soothing.

"I just saw you today in the afternoon but why do I miss you so much already? Why do I want to be with you all the time, Zeus?" Softly caressing at the picture on her wallpaper, she murmured on her own taking a deep huff of breath out. "You know...things are being way too rough in my life...Every time I am finding myself indulged in strange things...but the moments I spend with you are the most precious ones for me, Zeus. I am glad to find you in my life. I wish I could tie you up with me for 24/7 so that...we won't have to be apart again...Damn, I must be sounding really embarrassing... isn't it?" Talking on her own with his picture, she was seeking solace, and caressing the screen softly. Her eyes looked a little sad, but she had a small simper on her cherry red lips.

"Should I just call him?" Sitting up on her bed and resting her back against the pillow, involuntarily she opened up the dial list while mumbling on her own. But her fingers were fidgeting a bit anxiously.

"What if he finds me too clingy? Nope...I don't think he would mind it...After all, we are each other's very first partners... And...I am too stressed already. Hearing his voice once would really calm down my inner turmoils... Should I call him just once? Should I tell him about the happenings in the cafe? No...I...I don't think that's a good idea... He is always madly worried about me...maybe he would panic way too much after learning all these... I can't put more stress on him... But...I do really miss him--"

[Phone Ringing]

Suddenly she flinched hard as the phone rang out aloud in her palm. Swirling her eyes wider in surprise, she saw it was no one other than her beloved Zeus who was calling her at that very moment when she was already missing him badly!

"Zeus? Hello?" In the blink of a second, she picked up the call and a wide chuckle appeared on her face. 

"I missed you, my love." His cold, deep voice struck straight into her heart causing a tingling sensation in her body as he whispered on the call.

"Damn... I...I was missing you too... I was wondering a bit ago...we just met today in the afternoon but still, it seems I haven't seen you from a long time..." She pouted her face, mumbling in a tender pitch.

"Then, should I just come to you?" He sounded a little playful this time, seeming much pleased at her response.

"Wh-What?"

"We both miss each other so dearly... So I was wondering...if I can come right now to you... I won't mind staying next to you for the rest of the night...but I wonder, what can happen between us in the whole night if our sparks of romance get fired up... It's obvious, I won't be able to hold back myself anymore..." He chuckled a bit while proclaiming on his own.

Eva was flustered red, turning into a shy ball after hearing his mischievous suggestion. Her small ears had turn absolutely red in color, depicting the kind of embarrassed she was. With a choked voice, she further stuttered, "e..eh? Wh-What are you...ta-talking about? You...must be...crazy... How can you imagine... naughty stuff like this right now---"

"Hahahaha," bursting out with immense laughter being successfully able to make her as embarrassed as he wanted, he sounded very jovial, "I am sorry... I was just teasing you a bit, honey... I can already imagine you as a flushed red goofball."

"Zeus, c'mon, now you are teasing me too?" 

"Don't worry about anything Eva, I will be right by your side whenever you need me. After all, to keep you safe will be always my eternal responsibility. I love you and I will continue to love you even more." His voice sounded much soothing and deep as he murmured from the other side of the call, placing a soft kiss over the phone.

"Damn... I really love this man so much... So freaking much..." A wide blissful grin appeared on her face while wondering as she firmly nodded her head.

Outside her apartment complex, standing beneath a street light, Zeus was gripping his phone hard with his dark, mysterious gaze fixed towards Eva's flat, especially towards her balcony. After a while, he softly asked her to disconnect the call and get some sleep with his eyes still fixed on the above floor.

After a while, suddenly, his eyes flickered towards a shadow that immediately crossed by her apartment premises, and in a flash, he fiercely chased after the shadow, holding a scary dark grimace.

Quickly enough he captured a young man locking his neck from behind in his elbow grip. The man seemed terrified to be caught upright by him and was shivering in horror.

"Pl-Please...Please don't kill me! Please! Spare my life!" He pleaded with utter desperation, trying to escape from his firm grasp.
