My Destined Werewolf Mate

Chapter 115 - 10 Years Ago

"Her father, Mr. Stevan Ricci was an architect-planner, sir. He seemed to be a kind man, having a good reputation among his clients and colleagues. Her mother, Mrs. Eleana Ricci was a homemaker and also had a good reputation in every neighborhood they lived in. She also had an older brother, named Felix Ricci, who worked as a special ranger officer in Cansaglio Forest. They seemed to be a well-known happy family. These are the basic details about her family members but...surprisingly, each of them has suffered...a brutal death. She seems to have such a stroke of harsh luck, that she had to mourn for each of her family members all alone." The grew a bit heavy as it depicted the information he gathered along.

"That means, Eva didn't lie to me about any of her familial matter." Stealing a small glance at her, Zeus gulped his saliva anxiously looking at her smiling face. His inner soul felt a bit guilty about the investigations he was carrying out without her consent, and watching her broad innocent smile, he helplessly lowered his gaze down.

"When did all of these happen?" He murmured intentionally in a low pitch, trying hard not to caught up in her suspicion on their very first date together.

"Umm, sir, around 10 years ago, her parents suffered a severe horrific accident near the Bella Cino street on one fateful night. Miss Eva too was caught up in the accident as she was present right there with her parents. But somehow, she made it through but her poor parents couldn't..."

"Bella Cino street? After so many years...that place...." Wondering inside his mind, he frowned his eyebrows anxiously.

"Zeus, are you alright? Why do you look so tensed?" Softly peeking at his perplexed face, she tossed a straight query at him.

"Oh, no it's nothing." Tackling hard to assure her with a fake grin, he put the call on hold for a few seconds before asking her politely, "Eva, if you don't mind, can I go over there and talk over for a few minutes? The call seems very important for our company," he pointed towards a giant Oleanna tree, located a few steps away from them.

"Yes, of course. Go ahead." She grinned with a gleaming gesture in her eyes, gazing at him tenderly.

Retreating towards the tree with a sad smile on his face, his heart was growing heavier in guilt and anticipation. He softly glanced back at Eva before focusing on the call back again, thinking silently, "Eva trusts me blindly... She loves me way too much... And, here...I am carrying out her investigation without her consent... I mustn't do it but...I am helpless! I need to know everything about her!"

"Sir, are you still there?" The voice muttered out aloud from the other side of the call.

"Yes. Did you just say, Bella Cino Street? 10 years ago? Tell me the date of the accident?"

"I am still unable to find the exact date, sir. But it was around springtime... Probably close to that day when we were traveling through Bella Cino, at that night..."

Suddenly, his heart throbbed a bit in anticipation as the man spoke out about the past event. Gulping his saliva down, he scrunched his eyebrows before retaliating, "any further information?"

"Her brother was killed by the attack of wild animals inside the Cansaglio Forest. And...I also found a bit peculiar information about them--"

"Spit it out, quick."

"Her family has a history of moving out a couple of times to different places, like Cento Storico, Prati, Testaccio and now it's Rione Monti. She also had her education completing in different towns but for the last 10 years, she has been living here with her brother after her parents died." The voice resonated as an echo over the call, speaking mystically.

"Why? What's the reason behind it?" Unable to suppress his query, Zeus grumbled out in a deep voice, looking a bit fretful.

"I am trying to trace about that. I will let you know when I will find any further information. Thank you, sir."

As soon as he finished his interpretations, Zeus disconnected the call, emitting out a deep sigh. His eyes seemed filled with anxiety, as he raised his chin gazing at the dusky horizon above.

"Bella Cino...huh? I had never imagined... I would come across that place again..." He mumbled out, with his mind focussed on the incident that happened 10 years ago.

....

[FLASHBACK]

24th April 2010;

"Darn it! We are already late for our meeting, now the shortcut route has been blocked too! Such an awful day I am having!"

Sitting at the backseat, Zeus whined out aloud in a furious voice, adjusting his necktie. His face seemed quite agitated as he grumbled towards Mr. Pavlov, who was driving the car for him.

"I am sorry sir, but we have to take the Bella Cino route, as we don't have any choice left now." He whispered.

"Whatever, I gotta reach the venue quick. Drive it a bit faster." Taking a deep sigh out, he shifted his gaze towards the side window viewing the outside night scenarios. The street was a quiet desolated broad one. In the soft moonlight, the dark forest surrounding both sides of the street seemed mystically dark.

.

SCREECH!

.

Suddenly, halting the car all by clutching the break, it made quite a weird sound as it was stopped in the middle of the street.

"What's wrong now? We are already late today!" Zeus sounded intensely infuriated, shrieking at him aloud.

"Si...Sir!" Palpitated and shocked, he stuttered in a deep voice, "there's an accident happened here... It's...a pool of blood!!"

"What?" Immediately without wasting a single second, Zeus jolted outside the car glancing at the front where they halted. Indeed, a brutally smashed white car was standing at the right corner of the road and two bodies were lying down on the ground, covered in blood and bruises!
