My Destined Werewolf Mate

The next day...

The weather seemed a bit dusky along with ash-colored clouds floating all around in the endless horizon, emitting out a melancholic aura in the entire atmosphere. There wasn't a bright radiance of sunrays, rather than, a cool mild breeze was wavering the small, freshly bloomed purple Oleanders, grown on the shrubs, arrayed next to each other on both the sidewalks of Corsolia Street. 

Dressed up in a black full sleeve laced sheer gown with minimal makeup and flaunting her shimmering untied silky brown hair down her shoulder, Eva was waiting for her date, standing beside an Oleander tree, impatiently glancing at her wristwatch.

Though she had put minimal makeup for her first-ever date day with her beloved one, her grimace looked a bit pale with sleep-deprived sore eyebags just below her eyes. The verbal spat with Clara was enough for her to keep her awake through the whole night as her heart was in immense pain. Clara has been the only person who has firmly stood by her side in all highs and lows of life. The first fight between them had shaken her up from the core, and she was trying hard not to make her worries evident before Zeus as it was quite an important day for her. 

Soon enough, her wait was over when a big charcoal black deluxe car stopped right before her, causing her to flinch a bit. 

Zeus, stepped out of the car, completely dressed up in a shimmering black luxurious suit, with a glorious charm over his porcelain bright elegant face. Just by having a single glance at him, unknowingly, a wide smile appeared on her grimace as she kept looking at the way.

"Did I make you wait for a long time?" Slowly walking closer to her, he whispered tenderly, holding her soft hand tight in his broad palm. 

"No. It's nothing. You are the only one who can make me wait, I won't mind it." Smiling meekly, she promptly replied.

Zeus was staring at her invincibly dilating his brown pupils and all of a sudden, his wide smile tainted a little. Frowning his eyebrows, he intended to ask her quite impertinently, "Eva, haven't you slept properly last night? Why I can see swollen eye bags beneath your eyes? Were you stressed out about something?"

"Ahh, umm, no! It's...It's nothing! I really had a good sleep, trust me! I don't know when did I have eyebags...haha! It's really nothing... Don't worry." Trying hard to project a burst of fake laughter to ease his worries, she mumbled out.

"Eva, you aren't hiding something from me, right---"

"Zeus, please stop worrying about me so much! You are really spoiling me too bad! If you always pamper me like this, how am I gonna live whenever you aren't around me?" Softly poking his cheeks with her tiny fingers, she spoke in a mild tone, smiling on her own. Her eyes were shimmering in gleam while glancing intensely at her beloved.

"I won't leave your side." Caressing her shimmering hair threads away from her beautiful face, replying in a loving tone, staring back at her. "Even if you chase me away someday, I still would find my way back to you." 

Hearing his soft voice, piercing quite deep inside, her heart throbbed hard blooming a ray of hope in her deep eyes as she gazed at him. Tenderly nodding her head in response she answered him, "alright. Then, let's head straight to our destination today." 

"Okay, then get inside the car." Zeus slightly tilted his head, pointing at the car. Hearing his indication, a tall well-dressed young man working as his apprentice in the Romano group came outside the car, opening the car door for both of them. 

"Car? Are we going by car?" Frowning her eyebrows, she sounded a bit displeased.

"Why? Um, do you want to go by something else? Should I just call my private jet?"

"Ahh, c'mon Zeus, it's way too much for me." Hearing his unthinkable suggestions, she smirked at him swirling her eyes. "I am a simple woman, Zeus. And...I want to lead a simple life with you. So, let's start it by today. We will head to our destination by bus." 

"Bus?" Sounding much offended at her retaliation, he frowned his thick black eyebrows gawking at her.

"Yes, there is a bus stop nearby."

"But why we have to go by bus? I hate crowds, I hate humans... Why do I have to travel with them on our first date?" Objecting quite bluntly, he appeared quite agitated.

Eva somehow had expected his irked reaction after hearing his suggestion but holding a soft smile towards him she tried hard to pursue his cold heart, "I am a human too, Zeus. If you can love me so much...can't you be just a little kinder towards the rest of them? I...I just wanted to spend our date as any other ordinary couple, forgetting our stressful circumstances. Is it really that impossible to accept?" 

Just by hearing out her earnest pleading and soft voice, his heart melted a bit as he took out a deep sigh of defeat. Unwillingly nodding his head, he muttered in a rugged voice, "O-Okay...Let's go to the bus stop. But I won't spare any annoying beings who dares to spoil our special day!"

"No one will do it! Trust me, I will be your safety pin for today who will bottle up your agitations from venting out." Tightly gripping his arm, she pointed straight towards the opposite direction of their way and chuckled in happiness. Watching her all smiley and jovial by his side, a tinge of a small grin appeared on his roseate lips as obediently like a small puppy, he followed her lead towards the bus stop. 

Walking next to each other, all of a sudden his phone rang out aloud flinching both of them as it was quite unexpected at that very moment.

Frowning his face, he grabbed out his phone and noticed, it was his assistant who was bothering him at that time. Slightly he glanced back at her and she happily nodded her head, giving her approval to pick it up. 

"Why are you bothering me today, Mr. Pavlov? Today is my special day--"

"Pardon me sir, but...I have gathered some informations about that intern, Miss Eva Ricci, just as you had asked me." The voice sounded a bit impatient, interrupting Zeus on the call.

Stealing a small peek at smiling Eva while walking next to her, holding her hand tight, he whispered in a mystic dark voice, "tell me everything about it."
