My Destined Werewolf Mate

As soon as she fixed her sharp gaze towards the peephole, her left hand started to tremble on its own. The hair comb she was clinching onto dropped down on the ground. Taking a deep gasp of breath, she tried to approach the door but her feet were frozen in fear. After all the things she has been into, she was terrified to take a step forward and check the door once. But her senses were indicating to her that someone was indeed watching her through the hole. 

At the moment while she was anticipating trepidation, all of a sudden her phone kept on the desk beside her rang aloud flinching her quite hard. Rushing quickly, she glanced at the screen and saw it was Zeus calling her!

"He-Hello?" Muttering quite anxiously, she answered. 

"Eva, aren't you dressed up yet? I am already going impatient to see you..." A soft, meek voice answered her from the other side of the call. He sounded to be in a pretty good mood as she assumed. 

"Ye...Yes, I am...done already..." Gulping her saliva and glancing at the door she tried to act calm not to make him further concerned. Besides, she didn't want to ruin his happy mood. 

"Then why are you still up there? Come down, quick." 

As soon as he finished those words, Eva sensed as if the sharp gaze that was watching her from outside shifted elsewhere, away from her. She perceived that it was his phone call that saved her at that moment from getting approached by an intruder. 

"Ze-Zeus, can you come and take me down there?" She was too anxious inside, trying hard to act calm before him but still scared to step alone out of the room. She clenched her phone tightly, peering at the peephole again. 

"But I want you to come here alone and see me first. Don't fret darling, I will be with you over the call till you reach here. So...please come down." His voice sounded quite solace while he mumbled his plea in a considerate tone.

Unable to decline his polite request, Eva took a deep gasp of breath and started walking towards the door. Before grabbing the doorknob, her hand was still trembling in fear but she didn't want him to know about her trepidations on their special day. 

"I shouldn't be afraid like this...Zeus is with me. I know...He will never let me get hurt... I should be stronger, I am his soulmate after all!" Trying to motivate her terrified self in every possible way, she clinched open the door and boldly stepped outside. 

To her surprise, there was not a single being present right there! It seemed to be an illusion what she perceived, but her strong senses were indicating that indeed someone was watching her from afar! She glanced everywhere around her to make sure of it and swirled her eyes skeptically with several doubts conflicting in her mind.

"Eva, are you coming?" Zeus was still on hold over the call and detecting the sudden silence from her side, he impatiently asked her again. 

"Yes. I am coming to you," a small grin appeared on her face as she started walking straight down the stairs towards the exit.

It was almost the time around sunset. At the extreme west on the beachside, she arrived as she was told over the call. It took her almost 10 minutes to reach the place before he disconnected the call first. 

But as she reached there, her motion halted to witness the surprising sight before her! The ambiance was quite alluring and peaceful. Alongside those blue sea waves whirling towards the shore, there were five floral archways decorated amidst the beach. Those arches were beautifully adorned with fresh red roses along with colorful ribbons and red heart-shaped balloons. Soft cottony red transparent curtains tucked with the archways were drifting along with the breeze forbidding her view mysteriously towards further inside.

The whole sand passage through the archways was embellished with fresh red rose petals as if the whole area seemed to be a blossoming paradise in that dreamy sunset view. 

"Wh-What's all these?" Shocked to see the ethereal arrangement especially prepared by him, her feet were frozen in wonder. She couldn't take a step forward and stood still, gasping breath heavily.

"Did I surprise you again?"

Flinched at the unexpected soft voice behind her, she quickly turned around and saw Zeus standing tall, holding a blissful expression on his radiant happy face. He was groomed in a cherry red velvet shimmering tuxedo suit, putting one of his arms inside the pocket, glancing at her with his love-filled wide black eyes. His dark black hair was curled over his forehead and amidst the magical orange sunset, he looked no less than that of an elegant prince peering at his princess. 

"Ze...Zeus?" Her voice trailed off appearing as if she was at a loss of words, witnessing all these heavenly decorations. A small chuckle escaped his lips watching her standing all innocently still as he tenderly walked closer to her. 

"Looks like, I have indeed surprised you again. And...I will keep surprising you for the rest of my life. I give you my word today, Eva..." Softly caressing the right side of her face, he whispered looking straight into her eyes. 

Hearing his heartfelt verdict she smiled at him with tears swelled in her eyes. She was immensely happy to witness a never-expected magical moment like this in her life with her beloved one standing next to her side. Without even realizing a warm teardrop of immense joy filling her heart rolled down her cheek with the smile widening on her grimace. 

Tenderly Zeus took a step forward and gripped one of her arms tightly. Mildly, he wiped the tears from her eyes touching with his fingertips. "I will make sure to wipe your tears like this whenever you will feel down. That's also my promise to you." His soft voice sounded quite firm. 

Politely nodding her head in approval, she further gripped his arm tight. As soon as she reciprocated his grip, holding her with utmost tenderness both of them started walking through the beautiful floral archways over the rose petals garnishing their beautiful steps ahead. There were five floral archways prepared by him.

"Eva...these arches represent the beginning of our new journey together from now onwards. Even if we come across the hard times, you will find me next to you holding your hand as tight as ever. That's my word to you." 

Eva was quietly listening to him with a wide grin spread out on her jowls. She was immersed in the ethereal and feeling every bit from it from the core of her heart. It was all a dreamy romantic event beyond her imagination. The soft sound of waves whirling with the breeze even made the ambiance more soothing to experience. 

Soon enough they crossed every archway holding arms in arms walking over the flower petals. But the surprising event was getting more intense with every passing minute. 

As soon as they came marching forward, Eva swirled her eyes further wider to witness the sight before her. Gorgeous freshly bloomed fragrant roses and daisies decorated table for two date setup along with white silk curtains surrounded on every side was arranged at the center of the beach under the beautiful sunset blessing the peaceful ambiance. Alongside it, a big heart-shaped platform prepared with aromatic red rose petals was also flashing its beautiful appearance. 

Gripping her arm tightly, he straightly walked towards the platform with a mystical smirk on his elegant face. Eva was completely awestruck with the charismatic arrangements and glancing all around her following him obediently. 

His feet halted as soon as both of them reached the rose platform. It was the perfect sunset moment with the blissful orange aura scattering through all over the beachside. As he halted, quickly she lifted her chin up, curiously ogling at him from behind. 

"Umm...Zeus?" 

Softly, he unleashed her arm from his grip and turned around to face her with a wide grin carved on his lips. Somehow, he seemed a little nervous but tried to act quite calm right before her. 

"It's the...very first time in my life...I have prepared these arrangements for someone who means everything to me. Every decoration...I have done it with my own hands just for you. So...Did I...succeed to stand up to your expectations, Eva?" He mumbled gaping into her shimmering eyes. 

"Expectation? Zeus...it's...it's so beautiful that...it's beyond my imagination... It all feels as if I dreaming everything and I don't ever wanna wake up from this... I...I am shocked, you did all these on your own? Wasn't it tedious? I...I am...really at a loss for words right now...I can't believe you did so much for our date--"

"It's not just our date, Eva." Before she could finish her words, Zeus took a step closer to her with a gap of few inches persisting between them. "I have...something else to ask you."

"So-Something else?"

"I wanna surprise you like this for the rest of my life. You are the one with whom I want to watch each sunset of my life... You are the one beside whom I want to wake up right next to every morning... 

So...

Will you grant my wish?

Will you...marry me?"

A soft, teary smile escaped his lips as he asked her his heartfelt desire.
