My Destined Werewolf Mate

Rolling her dark dilated pupils wider, looking absolutely stunned at his unanticipated confession Eva stood frozen for a few seconds, completely still. Somehow, Zeus had assumed her surprised reaction and slowly took a slow step forward fixing his affectionate gaze deeply at her. 

"It looks like...I have surprised you again, my love." A wide sweet smile spread on his sharp jawline with the yellowish-orange mild sun rays reflecting on his face a few moments before the sunset. 

Eva still couldn't utter a single word at all, gasping breath heavily looking intensely at him squinting her awe-struck gaze.

Slowly Zeus rolled down his right hand inside his suit pocket and deftly took out something clenched in his grasp. Fondly he stretched his arm before her and there lied an ethereal platinum ring, beautifully engraved with an extremely rare, 2.26-carat heart-shaped purplish-red diamond at the center. The super rare diamond ring seemed especially prepared for her as the symbolization of his neverending pure love for her. 

Eva choked her breath for a second watching that valuable gemstone right before her eyes. In the whole world, there have been only 20-30 red diamonds known to exist. Almost a carat of this unique gem costs around 1-2 million dollars which were beyond her imagination. And to her surprise, the most beloved person of her life was holding that inestimable gem which unconsciously made her eyes swelled with tears of ecstasy.

"You...prepared...all these for me?" Her voice crooked a little as she bit her lips softly to stop herself from sobbing.

"To be honest...I had prepared this ring for you for a long time already." A sad smile escaped his murmuring soft lips as he lifted his eyes down to glance at the ring shimmering on his hand. "Eva, I had been yearning for a long time already to express my heartfelt desire but...my truth of existence was unknowingly stopping me to take a step forward.

Her heart was inflamed with a painful sensation hearing his bereaved words, staring straight into his eyes with a teary vision. She was trying hard to control herself from grieving down but the emotional turbulence inside her heart from all those miseries they had to go through was making it difficult for her to repress. 

"Ahh, I shouldn't enunciate about these sad kinds of stuff on our special day," he quickly rubbed his eyes to wipe those glimpses of his tears out, smiling widely at her. Spreading his palm towards her, he murmured in a soft voice, "I was...quite nervous about today to plan everything secretly without your knowledge...

My legs...are still shaking but...it's also...the happiest day of my life when I can express my long-waited wish to you freely without hesitating about my dark identity... 

Will...Will you hold my hand and...walk together with me on our path of life? Will you marry me...Eva?" His mild voice trembled a little as a small sad simper escaped the edges of his teary eyes.

As soon as he wrapped his sincere words, without wasting a further single second Eva almost jumped inside his embrace hugging him as tight as she could, bursting out into tears of immense joy. She was shivering, breathing heavily wrapping her arms around his broad shoulder, tugging her teary grimace on his chest. 

Zeus didn't seem surprised with her reaction as if he had somehow anticipated an emotional response from her. Holding her tightly in his arms, he took a deep sigh of relief resting his jowls on her frail shoulder.

"I had never expected...I...I...would be able to witness such a magical moment of my life, Zeus... After...After I heard about Felix's death, my life ahead had become all dark right before my eyes... I...I had lost everything I had at once but...you...you held my hand and forbade me to give up...

You gave a meaning to my dark life, Zeus... And...you are all...I have in this world right now...So why ask the obvious?" Mumbling in a husky mellow voice, she slowly drifted her head away from his chest holding his arm with that ring inside his grip.

Suddenly, she lifted her chin up, closed her eyes for a second, and pressed her soft lips against his plump lips generating a passionate yet fond kiss of promise in the flick of a second surprising him a little. 

"YESSS! YES YES YES! A THOUSAND TIMES YES! NOT ONLY IN THIS LIFE... I...I WANNA MARRY ONLY YOU EVEN IF I AM BORN AGAIN IN ANOTHER LIFE...  ALWAYS AND FOREVER...EVA WILL BELONG TO YOU, ZEUS!" Chuckling out aloud with a blushing wide smile spread out on her meek grimace, she responded out quite aloud with her bold voice holding his arm tightly. Her voice echoed in the entire solace beachside with the mild whirling sound of waves sloshing to the shore. 

Witnessing her delighted honest reaction, a flustered giant smile appeared on his radiant face. Softly he leaned his head towards her, caressing the tip of her nose once with his pointed nose ridge to express his sincere affection at her response. Both of their eyes were swelled with tears of bliss while feeling the most special moment of their life from the core of their wounded heart. They kept their heads inclined towards one another for a few seconds, standing still, with the soft winds nuzzling their hairs on their faces as they breathed slowly.

After a moment of peaceful silence, Zeus tenderly held her left knuckle and placed the ring in her small ring finger with utmost delicacy. Tears rolled down her eyes, as her hand trembled a little while he was putting the ring onto her. 

Holding her arm in his grip with the diamond shimmering elegantly, he stared at her finger for a few while smiling on his own. After a moment of ecstatic silence persisting between them, he raised his chin up and tightened his grip on her hand. 

All of a sudden, a radiant flame of red flares started appearing around them encircling them in the middle while the sun had almost set down at the horizon of the sea. Amidst the yellowish-orange aura around them, the flares seemed quite strange! Flinched with the sudden happening, she quickly sneaked her glances all around whereas his gaze was fixed still upon her. Somehow, she could feel his arm was turning quite hotter with the touch as he was holding onto her. 

"I...ZEUS ROMANO...THE TRUE-BLOOD ALPHA WEREWOLF OF THE ROMANOS... AM SWEARING THE OATH OF MY LIFE!" Unexpectedly, reverberating aloud in his loud dominant voice as his dark eyeballs started turning red obtaining his dominant form. She could sense, it was him who was caused the wave of flames to appear around them. 

"I AM CHOOSING EVA RICCI, A MORTAL HUMAN, AS THE ETERNAL MATE OF MY ALPHA LIFE HAVING THE OCEAN, THE SKY, THE WIND, AND THE EARTH AS THE WITNESS OF MY IMMORTAL OATH...

While he declared his verdict in his loud dominant tone, she stood still in an ecstatic manner gawking at him in awe, rolling her eyes wider. With the completion of his words, the fire around them started to ignite more vigorously created an illuminant aura all around them. The sun had already set down the horizon and the sky was slowly turning darker. 

Slowly, Zeus started leaning his face closer towards her while being a bit nervous, Eva shut her eyes tightly. Straightly he brought his grimace over her neck groove and sniffed her scent for a second. She could sense his warm breath on her shoulder as she flinched quite hard.

All of a sudden, his long canines started emerging out from his lips as the red illuminance brightened on his pupils. Softly, he bit a small portion on the right side of her neck with his white canines, gripping both of her arms tightly. The bite wasn't painful, it was rather soft and gentle but for her, it was quite unexpected. Her heart started throbbing aloud absorbed with an unknown fear as she could feel the presence of his sharp canines near her neck. 

"Did he just...bite me?" She wondered, opening her eyes all of a sudden in fear.
