My Destined Werewolf Mate

"Umm, sorry, but I think we don't know each other!" Eva scrunched her eyebrows before stating the straight fact.

The mysterious guy laughed a bit at her response and tried to loosen up the tense situation. "Don't worry, I am not a stalker or anything. I just happened to see you dropping your purse outside the office so just thought of helping you with that." He sounded gentle.​​

"Ohh!" A wide relieved grin appeared on Eva's face as she stared at him. "I am sorry for doubting your intentions. To be honest, so many things have been happening with me lately that...it's been hard to trust anyone. I am sorry." She was apologetic.

"Don't fret, being nice isn't admired nowadays. Well, didn't you want to have ice-cream?" The guy pointed towards the ice-cream truck while replying to her.

"Oh yes!" Eva bowed her head a little in order to thank him and walked towards the truck. As she was about to leave, suddenly her feet halted and she turned behind. "Do you want to join me too?" She whispered.

His face glowed up with a wide smile and he slightly titled his head. "Sure."

Zeus was watching their sweet interactions from the opposite side of the road and somehow he felt extremely agitated. Though he thought of walking away, the thoughts regarding her safety troubled him the most. He chose to stay!

"What's your name? Do you live nearby?" Eva asked him with a mellow tone while they were heading towards her home. Both of them were stuffing up the ice-cream scoop while chattering. But strangely, that guy was heading in the same direction as her which made her quite curious.

"Yes. I have recently joined the Pluto industries and been moved here a week ago. And, I am Ross, nice to meet you." He mumbled.

Eva was glancing at him secretively while walking next to each other. The guy was strangely quite handsome. His soft black hairs were whirling with the night breeze and with such a bright complexed face, he could easily giving competition to supermodels. But most importantly, the guy didn't look creepy at all but had a constant amiable grin on his face.

"I am Eva, I have joined the Romano group from today." She continued.

"Woah, you are working in that famous Romano organization? Damn, you are lucky!" He sounded a bit hyped up.

Suddenly Eva's small grin vanished and her face entirely darkened. Immediately she was reminded of the horrendous encounters she experienced from the whole morning. She breathed out in a huff and continued strolling.

He quickly noticed her frown response and stared at her inquisitively. "Is there something wrong? Why are you sighing?" He asked.

Eva raised up her chin and looked at him in the eye and responded, "I don't think working in such a big organization makes me any lucky! Indeed, it's the actual opposite. Extremely cryptic."

"Why? Did you encounter anything unusual?" He continued his interrogation.

Eva lowered her gaze and sighed again deeply. "It won't be good to unveil everything about me to someone I just met today. He is still a complete stranger." She wondered with a frowning gesture.

In the meantime, suddenly her motion halted and abruptly she turned behind with blazing eyes. She seemed a little disturbed and kept looking around her as if she was searching for someone.

Ross turned behind too and peeked at her absurd gesticulation. She was still looking around herself deliberately.

"Umm, are you searching for someone?" He inquired with a straight face.

Eva hesitated for a moment and slowly nodded her head. "I just felt... someone was there behind us." She murmured.

"Do you mean by a stalker? Are you getting stalked?" He scrunched his eyebrows and reciprocated his query.

"No, it's not like that... I don't know, but it really feels as if someone has been silently looking after me... To be honest, I have going through a lot! Even though I can't see that person, but I can feel his presence around me. As if, the person is my silent protector." She tried to explain her feelings in a low resonance.

Zeus was hiding behind the wall of a building as he got a little flustered when Eva suddenly looked back. He still can't understand, how can they feel each other's presence so mystically! It must have definitely got to do something with her smell! Or maybe, their hearts can locate each other's closeness?

Eva's words unknowingly put a small grin on his face as he was continually following them like a shadow. Even though he was in his invisible form, Eva's sudden gestures can make him fluster and nervous. It was quite similar to emotions when teenagers fall in love for the first time.

He had to keep himself aloof from her as their worlds were drastically different from each other, and he didn't want to expose his dark identity. Zeus, a true alpha werewolf, and Eva, a normal human being, both of them were existing beside each other as parallel lines...

This time, his intention of following Eva was entirely reliant on Ross. He had a stern gaze located on him as they were moving ahead.

"So, I have already reached. Thank you for walking me home. I should get inside now and you too, go safely. It was nice to meet you."

Both of them arrived near her house and she greeted him with a warm smile before bidding goodbye.

"It was nice to meet you too, Eva. I think we would be meeting each other quite often from now on as we live practically in the same direction." He smirked.

Eva responded him with a small grin and turned behind to head straight inside her home. "This guy doesn't seem bad at all. Maybe kind people are still left in this world." She wondered while opening her door lock to head inside.

Ross stood still ad watched her getting inside her apartment. Suddenly, a dark mystic smile emerged on his face. "Was it fun in stalking us, Mr. Alpha?" He blurted out in a cryptic voice and turned behind.

Zeus was a little surprised in getting exposed swiftly and immediately discarded his invisible form. With blazing red flames appearing around him, he obtained his visible human form and glared at him in the eye. "I didn't think you would actually notice me," he proclaimed.

Ross sneered with his response and immediately his intense black eyes transformed into dark blue coloration while ogling at Zeus. "Did you have fun during following us?" He asked again.
