My Destined Werewolf Mate

Chapter 34 - An Evil Intention

The auditorium hall was enormous and thickly crowded. Eva was capturing all the dolphin's playful moments on her phone with a wide grin on her face. Ross was quietly following after her with a wicked smirk on his cast.

"Look, they are so cute!" She screamed with a blissful tone while pointing at the dolphins. They were playing with balls together along with the trainers helping them. Several small kids were gathered around the hall and looked immensely happily while clapping.

Ross didn't utter a single word and only smiled at her responses. All of a sudden, an idea struck his mind, and he chuckled with a devilish expression.

Slowly, he walked closer to her at a gentle pace and touched her shoulder. "Eva, why don't you go too and play with those dolphins?" He suggested.

She smirked with his response and widened her eyes. "Come on! Do you take me as a kid? What will others think--"

"If we don't stop caring about others, we won't be able to enjoy our life to the fullest. Stop caring and go. You look so happy while making these videos, I bet you will be happiest when you gotta play with them." He boldly interrupted her hesitation and assured her to move forward.

"He is really a nice person," she thought with a small smile and obediently nodded her head in response. With gallant steps, she marched forward towards the arena where the dolphins were gathered.

Ross gawked at her from behind with a pair of sharp blazing eyes. Soon, she immersed herself in a jovial world as she looked immensely happy, tossing the ball at them. The dolphins were reverting every hit of the ball and flipped their fins in happiness. Her eyes were gleaming in joy.

Zeus was quietly staring at them from afar distance at the corner of the auditorium hall. His eyes were glued upon her with a fixed intense stare. She was clapping her hands in joy while playing with them.

To his surprise, she seemed like a small child being immersed in a beautiful rhythmical world, and unknowingly while looking at her, a small smile escaped his soft lips. With a sad smile, he continued watching her as long-desired happiness he had been yearning for.

But some dark conspiracy was going on against her and soon it was revealed.

Ross quietly walked closer to her with his eyes locked upon her pendant, shining as her protective armor on her neck. Quickly he looked around them to check if anyone was noticing his approach.

Within a fraction of a moment, he placed his right arm on her back shoulder smoothly while her center of attention was focussed on feeding the dolphins. Immediately, razor-sharp claws emerged out of his nails, and in the spark of a second, he ripped the chain holding the pendant.

PLOP!

Immediately the chain ripped off and the pendant plopped into the water due to his devilish act. Eva rolled her eyes in surprise when her cherished neck pendant fell down on the profound pool.

"NOOO! MY PENDANT!"

She screamed intensely while watching it falling deep into the pool. Her eyes were widened in awe as if she still couldn't believe what the heck just happened in a matter of few seconds.

"I gotta get it back! I can't lose it!" She shrieked aloud surprising almost all the people present there, along with the dolphins. She was almost determined to jump inside to get it back.

Instantly Ross gripped her shoulder while stopping her from diving in. "Eva, what are you doing? It's just a pendant!" He tried his ultimate best to stop her from ruining his nasty conspiracy.

"I can't lose it, Ross! It's important to me! I was cherishing it so much, how did it fell inside! How could I lose it! Gosh!" She swatted her forehead while howling loudly. Her voice sounded constricted as if she was on the verge of tears from the sudden mishap.

Ross was amused a little to see her getting all panicked but tried to stay composed in front of her. "Eva, calm down! We can't change anything once it's done. Believe me, nothing bad would happen to you after losing it." He held her arms while answering.

Her eyes were teary and her gaze was locked on the pool of water where the pendant dropped in. Her heart was throbbing in grief as it was the only symbol of Zeus she had with herself till now. And he had clearly warned her prior, not to lose it ever again.

A trainer of the dolphins quietly walked closer to Eva. She was all frozen in shock while looking at the pool. The person seemed to be nervous before speaking to her.

"I am sorry for your loss, ma'am. But the pool is too deep, it's hard to find the pendant now." The lady seemed to be fretted.

Eva was still in a state of shock and sighed heavily. "So, it means... did I lose it forever? Can't I find it ever again?" She murmured.

"We will definitely try our best to look it everywhere around the pool with the help of our workers. But... we can't guarantee you to do it by today, ma'am. I am sorry." The lady squirmed in anxiousness while asking for an apology.

Ross seemed quite satisfied with her answer as this kind of situation was all he was rooting for. He desperately wanted to take the pendant away from her and finally, with his witty act, he was successful in doing so.

But he tried to portray a morose expression in front of Eva who was standing all numb being teary-eyed. He quietly tapped her shoulder and sighed out heavily before consoling her, "Eva, let's go outside. Let's get some fresh air to calm down ourselves."

She again took a glance at the pool and a drop of warm tears dripped down from the corner of her eyes. Her heart was feeling heavy and she slowly shoved herself away from his grip while heading outside all alone.

"Now, it's my chance. Bingo!" Ross wondered with an evil smirk.
