My Destined Werewolf Mate

Holding onto extreme desperation to witness Zeus with her own eyes, Eva mustered up every ounce of the strength left inside her body to enter such a dark, dubious and dreadful mansion with such a fragile, weak body.

She squeezed herself as much as possible to crawl inside through the shallow hole and finally succeeded in crawling up inside. Although she was terrified of being caught inside by any guard and being punished severely. But today, luck was in her favor.

As she crawled up inside with her arms and feet trembling in anguish, for a few seconds she closed her eyes tight lying down on the ground. A few moments passed by, but nothing raucous happened around her. 

Slowly, she opened her eyes to take a small glimpse at her surroundings. As she raised her chin a bit up from the ground, the area she ended up crawling inside was at the backside of the mansion, in the midst of a large greenery yard. Luckily, there was not a single guard inside at that exact place and she escaped from getting caught at this moment.

"Gosh! I...I can't believe it! I ended inside! Damn, I ended inside! Thank God!" She immediately jolted up from the ground and folded her arms, murmuring in a mellow tone, looking at the sky. She was thanking the divinity for being on her side at this very moment.

As she took a peek around herself, the yard was quite large. It was a long route to cross the yard end up inside the mansion. To escape from anyone's eye, she had to walk straight ahead by hiding herself behind the large barricade wall in the yard. 

"Damn, I have to move very carefully right now. I can't screw it up after coming such a long way. Not a chance!" She consoled herself with a brave smile on her face and started heading towards the mansion.

But as she took a step forward, immediately she heard gallant footsteps coming towards her from the left direction. Frozen in dread, abruptly she ran behind the large wall of the mansion to conceal herself from anyone's notice. As she hid at the back, slowly she took a glimpse at the people who approached that place. They seemed to be two guards almost rushing towards that area. They seemed to chatter within themselves holding a serious expression.

"Did you feel that smell too?" One of the guys asked the other one, sniffing his nose constantly.

"Yes! The smell...It seems very sweet. It is a strange scent!" The other one promptly answered in a deep voice.

"Exactly. The whole yard is filled with that scent. We had never smelled something like this inside the mansion, it feels weird."

"Do you think someone sneaked inside here? It really seems like an unfamiliar scent!"

"But how can someone just end up inside here? This mansion is absolutely forbidden to others, almost everyone knows about it!" 

As both of them were deeply immersed in their intense conversation, immediately, one of the guys noticed the large hole implanted at the bottom of the guard wall and continued gawking at it. Hiding behind the barricade, Eva was watching them intensely, holding her breath and feeling much scared and fretted.

"Hey, do you think someone sneaked in through this hole?" One of them asked the other in a fretful voice, scrunching his eyebrows harder.

"But...how is that possible? No one in the town dares to come inside our Romano Mansion. Besides, we had also placed a large bush before the hole to keep it concealed. So, how could anyone notice it?" The other one strongly opposed his suggestion, fixing his intense glare towards the wall.

With each of their growing assumptions, her heart was throbbing hard in fear. She was trying her best to make herself as calm as possible.

"I think we must search around the mansion once. Let's first warn the guards at the entrance and exit. If any imposter is found, we will deal with him." One of them rolled his dark brown cryptic eyes mystically and took a sharp glance around the whole yard. As he was ogling, Eva squeezed herself behind the barrier to make herself as small as possible to stay hidden from their sight.

"Alright. But this strange scent is really making me lose my mind. I never smelled something sweet like this." The other one reverberated his response, sniffing his nose and both of them started to march straight towards the entrance area.

Eva stayed all numb, waited until they leave the premises holding her breath within. As they left her sight, slowly she peeked at the way they just left through and exhaled out a large amount of air in a puff. She was almost sweating in anguish and slowly, wiped up her forehead sweat droplets.

"Damn... I can't believe I am saved again... Hufff... But, I couldn't understand, what kind of smell they were talking about? Were... Were they referring to me? Do...Do I have that smell they were talking about?" As she reverberated her words in a hush, quickly she sniffed around her body to examine if she was possessing any special kind of smell.

"No, I can't smell anything abnormal from me! I didn't even put my perfume today, so... what were they talking about?"

Wondering on her own with furrowed eyebrows, she took a sharp glance at the mansion. "No, I mustn't waste my time here anymore. Before...Before anything raucous happens, I have to visit Zeus by any means." Taking a deep breath in, holding her firm resolute, she took a glance around herself and cryptically headed towards the mansion.

With her trembling pace, as she took a few steps ahead, all of a sudden, again she could hear some giant footsteps approaching the yard hastily. This time the footsteps were large in number. Petrified in anguish, she continued moving forward hiding behind the barrier.

But, suddenly, a mysterious sturdy arm from the right of the barricade gripped her arm and pulled her strongly on the right side within the blink of a second! Someone...seized control over her!
