My Destined Werewolf Mate

Chapter 56 - Are You Hiding Something?

"Huh?"

With a heavy jolt of flinch, in a flash of a second Czar turned behind gazing at the person who summoned him all of a sudden. Intensively, he swirled his pupils momentarily in awe. The encounter was entirely out of the plan and the person standing upright in front of him was no one other than Ivory!

Dressed up in a silk white full sleeve gown, with her shimmering dark black hairs unknotted flaunting down her shoulders, she was gazing at him intensely with dark vicious anticipation towards him.

"I-Ivory?" He blurted out in surprise.

"I asked, what are you doing here outside Zeus's room?" She reciprocated her question again but this time much in an intense tone.

"I...I...I was just...roaming here on my own...It's nothing much..." He was stuttering anxiously with a slight glimpse shifted towards the door.

With bold footsteps, she marched closer to him and continued monitoring his absurd expressions frowning her eye-brow ridge. "Really? You were just roaming here?"

"Yes...of-course... Why? Am I forbidden to stand here?"

"I didn't mean my words like that. But... from my prolonged observation with the Romano family, you and Zeus never had a good bonding of brotherhood, to begin with... And most importantly, you seemed to be flinching hard when I called you out here. I don't know why, but your gestures are a bit skeptical for me." She cleared out her point, straight and tough.

Gulping his saliva anxiously, Czar stood all frozen for a few seconds as his mind was going all numb. "Damn, as always...Ivory is too quick-witted! What am I gonna do now! That nuisance is still inside the room... How am I gonna let her out to escape? Ughhh, fuck!" His mind was filled up with all these puzzling thoughts, while he was fidgeting quite anxiously, tapping his feet hard.

"Why do you look so stressed, Czar?" She furrowed her eyebrows gawking at him intensely.

"Ahh, no. It's nothing. Why am I gonna be stressed? Haha..." Faking a burst of small laughter to portray his composed behavior, he was trying hard to convince her the best.

"But it seems you are not your typical self today. And most importantly, why are you marching outside the room rather than going inside?"

"No... I was just...Well..." He was stuttering again with her straight blunt inquiries hitting him strenuously.

"Do you still feel awkward?"

All of a sudden, he seemed surprised to hear her direct probing and raised his chin up to ogle at her with a deep gaze in his eyes. She was looking at him straight in the eye as her questions were quite direct and stern.

"Czar, I know... I know everything that you had to go through... You, still must feel strange around everyone here, right? Perhaps, that's why you always chose to avoid showing your true concerns inside this mansion." She asked again.

"You are overthinking about me, Ivory." All of a sudden, his face tainted with a grimacing expression, and with a heavy sigh, he conveyed his verdict in a profound note. "Though I am residing along with them in the same mansion... I have been accustomed to being treated like a mere stranger past all these years. No one here...considered me as their own... including my own father, who still looks at me with a pitiful gaze. It's kinda typical for me now... I don't give a fuck to them anymore." His voice grew heavy, dense, and saturated with sadness.

She was staring at him with a sad gaze in her dark dubious eyes and chose to be silent for a few seconds lowering her grimace down. "I guess... the scars in your heart still hasn't healed after all these years--"

"No, you are wrong, Ivory." Abruptly he interrupted her conversation in a rugged cold voice, with a spooky smirk lingering on his lips. "My scars are too deep to be healed... It will...forever keep on bleeding and reminding me of the purpose I still carried them."

She slowly nodded her head to his verdict and both of them stayed silent for a few seconds. After some moment of pause, she chose to speak first.

"Alright... Then, I think I should go and check up once on Zeus." She murmured in a frigid tone and took a step forward to head straight inside the room.

As soon as she muttered, Czar flinched again in surprise as all of a sudden he got panic-stricken for Eva who was still inside the room with Zeus! When Ivory took a step forward to march inside, quickly he rushed closer and stood before her like a guard wall, blocking the door.

"Wa-Wait! Why are you going inside?" He blurted out stressfully.

"What? What do you mean by this?" With his unusual conduct, she seemed much surprised probing him back.

"No...I...I mean that Zeus...he must be sleeping right now. It's impossible for him to wake up any soon... So, why bother going inside?" He muttered his words quite fast while gulping down his saliva as his throat seemed to be constricted in anxiety.

She stood still for a few seconds, watching him acting all absurd and fretted her face. "Well I know he must be still in deep sleep. But... haven't you heard what Uncle Antonio have commanded? He has to be monitored by us consistently as the upcoming 3 days till the full moon will be an extremely vulnerable stage for him. It's not unnatural if those scumbags try to harm him again. We must keep a close watch on him. And...I have to dress up his wounds again. It must have started to bleed already." She answered him in a polite note and took a step forward again to move straight ahead.

"Wa-Wait--" Czar impatiently guarded her way again frowning his face intensely. "I think we must let him sleep for some time now. You can dress up his wounds later too. Why bother him now--"

"Czar, why does it seems that you are stopping me from heading inside? Are you trying...to hide something?" She tossed a straight question at him straight in a dubious, dark voice.
