My Little Secret

Chapter 4:Strangers in the Night. (Ivan Radcliffe)

There's beauty in seeing things or people you like. It makes you happy on the inside like nothing else. Cathy's smile made me feel exactly like that.

Catherine Russo, the prettiest girl I had ever seen. My girlfriend.

There was no one like her, her presence in the same room as me was enough to make me happy. Celebrating her birthday in one of her favorite restaurants was great, till her fans showed up to wish her. Apparently, her Instagram stories gave our secret dinner plans away.

Dating a celebrity had its pros and cons. More cons than pros actually.

We were at Frosty's palace, one of the most romantic restaurants. It was on the 3rd floor and there was a poolside party happening in the ground floor. I looked at Catherine, who was now signing autographs for a bunch of people gathered around her. I tried to keep myself occupied but my attention drifted to the pool party as my favorite song popped up.

People were dancing on it. I was observing this one guy who had got all the moves wrong. It was very hard to watch him and suppress the urge to go down there and correct his moves. That is when I saw her for the first time.

She was wearing a dress that complimented her curves. Se had short hair, till her shoulders. "Man! You're doing it all wrong" she screams at him. She looked so aggressive yet adorable at the same time.

She starts dancing to the music, catching every beat, chained to the rhythm. She was good!

"Ivan!" I snapped out of it and look at Catherine as she called out my name.

"I've been calling you for like hours now" she rolls her eyes. "Let's get out of here, this is no fun" she says, she looked bored.

I pay the bill and escort her through the door. We get into the elevator and I pull her closer to me.

"Not now, Ivan, the paparazzi might be down. I also gotta fix my makeup" she says and pulls away.

"As you wish, milady" I tell her.

If you asked me, Catherine never needed to fix her makeup. She looked flawless as ever. She goes into the ladies' room and I wait for her outside. Suddenly, I feel a bump on my back and turn to look at this person.

"It's fine" I say and look at her carefully only to realize she's the gutsy dancer from the pool party.

'What a coincidence' I think to myself.

I was going to tell her about how cool her moves her but stopped myself. Didn't want her to think I was creepy. She walked past me, she seemed to be drunk but the smell of her perfume filled the air around her as she walked by. Fresh strawberries, my favorite.

I step forward onto something hard and hear a crack. I move my foot to find a broken piece of a keychain. I picked it up and saw a name engraved inside it," Princess Sofia."

'Was this hers?'

The heel of the shoe was cracked.

"Sofia! Walk faster" I hear a girl shout her name. Yep, it was definitely hers.

I was prepared to follow her and give the keychain back to her when Catherine comes out. I immediately slip the keychain into my pocket as if I was protecting a secret.

I felt like prince charming, holding Cinderella's shoe hostage in my pocket. Somehow, it seemed like the beginning of a fairytale.
