My Navy Seal II: Undeniable Attraction

I am busy making breakfast for my husband-to-be. Very soon we will take the long drive to my mother's house and I would lie if I say that I'm not very excited. I can not wait to start planning my wedding. I know now that Nick will leave all the details to me but that definitely does not mean that I'm leaving him out of the plans.

"So, there is something that we need to talk about"

"And what would you like to talk about?"

"Who are you going to invite to the wedding?"

NICK

I am watching as my wife to be is making me breakfast and I wonder if my life is going to be like this always. But then she asks me who I am going to invite to the wedding. Just a few months ago this would have been a very difficult question for me but now that my mother is back I can not wait to share my wedding with her.

I tell her who I would like to invite which includes my teammates, the Admiral, and my mother. I do not really have any close friends that I do not work with except for Jack but I have heard that he has recently lost the love of his life and so, I do not think that someone like him would like to celebrate a wedding at this moment.

Then I realized that I have not even told bravo1 that I am leaving the Navy Seals. I would like to ask John to be my best man but I can not ask him if I haven't even told them I'm leaving.

"I'm going to have to speak to John about me leaving the Navy Seals and I'm almost sure he's not going to be happy to hear that"

KIM

I can see that this is a difficult moment for Nick as John has been his right-hand man for so many years. When he says that he needs to talk to him, I can see that he feels very sad.

"Why don't you invite John and his wife over to come and stay at my mom's for a while? This way we can get to know each other better and maybe you can tell him about you leaving?"

NICK

Once again Kim has proven to be my puzzle. I do not know how I have lived without her for so many years. I want to stand up and give her a hug but once again the pain in my ribs prevents me from doing it. So, I look deep into her eyes and then I say.

"You better come over here right now"

KIM

Nick has been a leader for so many years and when his voice gets like this. I can not help but feel a little bit nervous. I quickly make my way to his side and then he grabs my hand planting a passionate kiss on my lips. I feel a bit of relief because I thought I said something wrong but when we are both breathless he pulls away and says.

"You are the best thing that has happened to me. I would love it if John and his wife could come and stay for a few days"

I can not help but smile because I love to make him happy.

"Let me just quickly send a text to my mom and find out if that will be okay with her and then we need to get on the road"

"Yes, ma'am!"

I smile and turn around taking my phone and quickly send a message to my mom. I know she would not have a problem because she's a very hospitable and she loves to entertain people. She was so excited when she found out that we are coming today.

She already told me that she bought all the magazines she could find at weddings. I am so lucky that I got this woman to be my mother. I am so glad that they took on that burden and today I can have a wonderful mother.

I haven't even sent the message when I get another one back.

"Of course, they can, honey. You know I would not mind. The more the merrier"

I smile and then I turn back to Nick.

"Your luck is in, my mother can't wait to entertain even more people"

We both laugh as Nick has come to know my mother a little bit.

"Well, that is great news should I send a text to John or should we first get there"

"I must say, I love how you are asking me what you should do. If this is a testament of how our marriage is going to be then you are going to be putty in my hands"

I see that cocky smile appearing on his face and then he says.

"You better get that body of yours next to me immediately"

I walk as slowly as I can and I can see his eyes turning into a hunger for me. The moment that he can grab my hand he pulls me in again for another kiss. Then he pulls away and says.

"I will be at your beck and call whenever you need me. I will do just what you want me to because you, Kim McPherson, has hypnotized me completely"

Once again he finds the right words that speak straight into my heart. He might be putty in my hands but I am clay in his.

"You know if we keep on doing this we might never get on the road"

"Who says that I want to get on the road? I have everything that I need right here in my arms"

I quickly wiggle out of his arms and start to laugh.

"Let's get packing and get on the road before I do not have the will to drive anymore"

I help him up the chair and then we pack. It is not long then we get into the car and drive to my mom's house. It is a long drive but it goes by quickly because we talk about the wedding and what we would like to do. Most men usually do not want to know about the details but Nick is using probably every piece of his patience do you listen to everything I say.

We aren't too far away when I realized that I have been talking his head off.

"Why did you not stop me?"

He looks at me with shock in his eyes and then he says.

"What are you talking about?"

"I have been babbling all the way and you have not said a thing about me talking too much"

He smiles and then he put his hand on my thigh.

"Doc, I enjoy it when you talk to me. It somehow brings me peace. I do not know how that happens because usually when women talk too much it irritates me but with you, it is the opposite"

I can not help but smile a mischievous smile and then I say.

"You know, you might regret what you just told me because one day we're going to be married for many years and then you going to tell me that I should shut up and then I'm going to say no because you enjoy me talking so much"

He starts to laugh uncontrollably and then his hand grabs his ribs.

"Please, stop it...aahhh...I love you so much"

"Oh god, Nick, I am sorry. I didn't mean for you to get hurt"

He put his hand again on my thigh and then he smiles through the tears of his laughing.

"Please don't apologize. I love the way you make me feel"

Then I turn into my mom's driveway and this time it feels much different to come here. Last time they didn't really know who Nick was and we're not even talking about the debacle of Angie and John. But this time we come as a unit. This time we are going to get married.

I get out of the car and then open the door for Nick. I'm sure that my parents will think that he is always in some kind of war because they've only seen him injured. Last time it was his leg and now it is his ribs. I hope that this will be the last time that he gets injured because I do not know how much my heart would be able to take.

I want to put his arm over my neck but then he takes my hand. I see a blush appears on his face and then he says.

"I just want to get some of my dignity...Please"

"Of course. I completely understand. Let's just walk slow, okay"

"That sounds like a good idea. Thank you"

I give him a kiss on his cheek and then my mother comes storming up to us. I stand in front of Nick so that she can first get her excitement out on me because I can only imagine how painful it would be if she gives one of her hugs to him.

"Slow down, mom"

Then she pulls away from me and looks at Nick.

"Oh, dear! What happened to you. Nick?!"
