Edwyn took his time as he dealt with the young captain of the Second Sons. With the way Daenerys had responded to the poor sod's attempt of pledging his fealty to her, Edwyn was certain that the Second Sons would not be shackled by their life much longer.

Looking at the broken and bloody man in front of him, Edwyn walked towards the man and placed his hand on his head.

"I gotta thank Ino for teaching this to me. 'Yamanaka Hijutsu: Saiko Denshin'."

Soon after, Daario's every secret and knowledge about Essos was learnt by Edwyn.

Grabbing Daario's skull, Edwyn said, "You are a good fighter and a survivor. But your intentions of joining Daenerys' cause weren't pure. *Sigh* Why can't any man in this world think with their brain and not always chase after what pleased their d.i.c.k? None can understand what that girl went through. Used by her brother like a possession... What kind of sick bastard would tell his own sister that he'd let thousands of men and even their horses f.u.c.k her to get an army?! That Khal wasn't any better."

Edwyn sighed sadly. To think he was ranting in front of a man he was about to kill. A man that was already half dead.

"Even I wasn't any different. She has a good heart and the presence of a ruler. A brave young woman who persevered in the face of adversity. But all you depraved men see is a woman you want to f.u.c.k. This world is sick, filled with trash who don't give a shit about human life."

Edwyn growled, "I despise that! Seeing what the Second Sons have done in their years of being sellswords, I'll make sure that none of those scoundrels lives to see another day!"

Edwyn proceeded to apply pressure through his grip. Daario whimpered and began screaming hin pain and horror as Edwyn's fingers dug into his skull.

Through the silence of the night, Daario's screams could be heard all across the land. With a sickening crunch, the nightmarish screams finally ended and silence repossessed the night.

The Unsullied gave Edwyn wide berths of space as he strolled back to the camp. He walked up to Daenerys. But unlike what he expected, she didn't flinch at the sight of his face and armour drenched with blood. She walked up to him and silently handed him a clean piece of cloth to wipe away Daario's remains.

Edwyn stared into her eyes, searching for any kind of disgust or fear, but all he saw was concern.

He quietly accepted the cloth and began cleaning himself.

Daenerys said softly, "I've asked an Unsullied to warm some water for you to wash up."

Her voice was filled with uncertainty. She looked down and continued, "I must apologise. I heard what you said to that man."

Upon seeing Edwyn narrowing his eyes, she hastily said, "It wasn't intentional! I was worried since you hadn't returned for some time and wanted to see if everything was alright! Of course, I knew that man couldn't possibly do anything to you... Or any other man in the realm... or any realm, perhaps. But I just wanted to be sure..."

Edwyn interrupted her by placing the finger of his clean hand on her lips and softly reprimanded, "Hush... you're blabbering... Daenerys."

The dragon queen's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Edwyn removed his finger, letting her continue, "I thank you... for the words you said about me. I am grateful and glad that you think of me that way and I give you my solemn vow that I will never turn out to be like my father. I shall be the kind of a ruler you could be proud of."

Slowly, a genuine smile bloomed on his face. A smile so rare that Barristan had to try his best not to gasp.

Edwyn placed his hand on her blushing cheek as her eyes shimmered in the light of the moon. In a warm tone, something that never had been heard from him, he said, "I am already proud, Daenerys. Against all odds... and myself... you managed to achieve something no man or woman could ever achieve in this wretched world. You earned my trust and belief. You made me see that this world deserves a chance. For that I'm thankful. My sword shall remain by your side in your quest to rule the seven kingdoms."

Daenerys's heart fluttered, her eyes quivering with emotion. She had finally gained his trust. She had made her vow fully knowing the consequences of failing in doing what she had said. Pride and determination bubbled inside her c.h.e.s.t. Yet, all those feelings were overpowered by the strange tingle in the pit of her stomach. It felt like... butterflies cheerfully flapping their wings. Daenerys wanted to hold on to that feeling for a few moments longer.

Walking away from her, Edwyn could sense the myriad of emotions she was feeling. The smile on his face grew as he felt her holding on to one emotion he least expected to appear. After so many years of breathing in the air filled with hate, the sense of Daenerys' feelings was like a tiny ray of light coming from somewhere in a tunnel without an end.

Daenerys stared nervously at Edwyn as he handed her a blunt sword and a mini shield. Opposite to her stood Grey Worm, the leader of the Unsullied, holding a blunt lance.

Daenerys whispered to Edwyn, "I don't think I'm ready to face someone like him."

Edwyn smiled and said, "Trust me, you're more than ready. You not being able to land a hit on me doesn't show that you're or you aren't improving. I'm just... too strong. Spar with him and see for yourself how much you've improved."

Daenerys nodded and took a deep breath. She looked at Grey Worm and saw him taking a stance. Her immediately began seeing all the openings she could exploit, the slight increase in his pulse as he saw her determined expression told her that he was somehow getting nervous.

Grey Worm never thought he would ever sense such danger from his queen. He tried his best to stay calm, yet his body wasn't listening to him. His palms were sweating due to the aura that seemed to emanate from Daenerys.

Daenerys watched as it took Grey Worm forever to thrust his lance at her. The thrust was so weak and it made her angry that he was holding back. Annoyed at him, she sidestepped his pitiful attempt to stab her and bashed her shield into his torso, flinging him tens of feet away.

Grey Worm's eyes widened in utter shock as he saw his queen sidestep his thrust. Her shield suddenly began glowing with a whitish light. With blinding speed, Daenerys bashed into him and sent flung him high into the air. He landed with a thud and he g.r.o.a.n.e.d in immense pain.

Edwyn immediately stopped Daenerys who was looking at her shield in shock.

"That's the result of your training, Daenerys. With the air almost saturated with magic, how could I neglect to teach you how to wield it? You just never realised."

Daenerys' head snapped towards him as she exclaimed, "I can wield magic?!"

Edwyn chucked, "Of course you can. With your dragons purifying the magic in the air and releasing it back, you've learnt to wield it in its purest form. Rejoice, Daenerys. You are now strong enough to take on an entire battalion. Your path to the conquest of the seven kingdoms just became a whole lot easier."
