Sacred Radiance Nation was a land in which immortal dao thrived and reigned supreme. Though it hadn’t reached the level of affecting the Three Thousand’s great daos yet, it was of significant scale in the realm.

Oddly enough, the Northern and Western Sacred Palaces were unmoved that such a cultivation faction had appeared between them.

Lu Yun stood in the void over Sacred Radiance Nation and quietly assessed its development.

“Is this the immortal nation that you’ve established in this world?” Diexi put away the empyrean crystal coffin and stood by Lu Yun’s side, looking curiously at the kingdom beneath them.

It hadn’t been long since Sacred Radiance Nation started developing from the humble tribe it’d once been, but the world and great daos of the Three Thousand were so strong that supremes already walked through the land. Credit didn’t go to the Disordered Sacred Supreme—someone was secretly supporting the faction from the shadows.

“Actually… the Dao King and the overseer are the same person,” Lu Yun suddenly murmured. “My presence here and establishing the Sacred Radiance Nation is all by his will. I hadn’t known it at first—I only thought through everything when he came out to meet me.”

The one who stayed by Mo Yi’s side was the Dao King’s primary body. The overseer was his replica. It was the Dao King who’d killed Ancestor by plunging Quietus into his heart. He was also the one who manifested the scene at the World Heart. Everything was under his control the entire time, proceeding in an orderly fashion according to plan.

Lu Yun was reminded of Violetgrave.

She’d once borrowed the power of the Netherdark Hell to split herself into two. Violetgrave was the primary body and Bluegrave her replica. It was the exact situation that they found with the Dao King now.

The current Violetgrave was a result of the Dao King entering the Land of Reincarnation and melding the Netherdark Hell together.

“So have you found a way to satisfy all parties?” Lu Yun suddenly raised his head and looked to the horizon.

The overseer appeared once again and nodded. “I have.”

“So those people’s goal isn’t to transform the nothing into existence, after all. They just want to kill Mo Yi, don’t they?” Lu Yun asked.

“Yes,” the overseer nodded. “The way was always there, but they didn’t care. They just wanted to kill her.”

Mo Yi was a spirit born of the nothing, the first goddess. Her trails became the river of time and her gaze was time.

“They’re also using Ancestor and Forebear as their pawns. Do you think the three hundred and sixty-five major cycle existences are really to balance the great daos of this world?” the overseer asked.

“Are they not?” Lu Yun furrowed his brows and cast a critical glance at the boundless void overhead. Three hundred and sixty-five existences were tightly interlocked around the Three Thousand. With the overseer’s question in mind, he shuddered as he realized a critical detail.

These three hundred and sixty-five were more like enormous parasites, furiously absorbing the nutrients of the Three Thousand!

At this rate, the realm would wither away one day.

“What… the… what is going on here??” Lu Yun gasped.

“Your book is the first patch of existence. It didn’t evolve into a realm like the Three Thousand because of them.” The overseer sighed as he looked overhead. “Those three hundred and sixty-five demon gods are the first demon gods to be born in the nothing. They are older than Ancestor and Forebear. Their strength is unparalleled compared to those who enter the nothing from existence in modern times.

“Everyone you know, Hongjun, Pangu, the Three Pure Ones, Leize, Fuxi, Huaxu, and Wahuang shares the same origins. These three hundred and sixty-five are the real enemy of life.” The overseer enunciated carefully as he looked at Lu Yun. “They can only exist in the nothing and cannot enter existence. Once the nothing transforms into existence, they will die!”

“What about Mo Yi?” Lu Yun paused.

“The mistress… will also die,” the overseer shook her head. “But she has lived nine thousand lives in the Land of Reincarnation and continuously weathered tribulation after tribulation. She has long severed her connection to the seed of nothing.

“She will be fine even if the nothing turns into existence.”

“So everything you’ve done…” Lu Yun trembled. The Land of Reincarnation wasn’t a place of rest and recovery for anyone! Neither was it a land of tempering and trial! It was meant to help Mo Yi sever her connection to the nothing!

No wonder, no wonder a variety of reasons had interrupted him from rebuilding a Land of Reincarnation. That goal of his had eventually fallen by the wayside.

“So everything you do now is to eliminate them?” Lu Yun looked up at the three hundred and sixty-five enormous existences.

“Eliminate them? So much easier said than done,” the overseer shook his head. “It’ll fall to you to kill them.”

“Me?” Lu Yun paused again.

“Yes, you,” the overseer nodded. “The first patch of existence is on you and has become your nascent spirit. You are living, breathing existence.

“The final profundity of the nothing is reincarnation. It itself is also reincarnating endlessly without stop. I have borrowed the strength of the first patch of existence to fashion reincarnation into a great dao. It has become your core dao and the strength you command.”

Lu Yun’s cultivation process had been an endless cycle of reincarnation manifesting and perfecting itself. From the five hells to the order of flame and then the formation of reincarnation… Although the Dao King laid the path, reincarnation would’ve still dissolved back into a profundity of nothing without Lu Yun. It wouldn’t be a great dao of existence.

The Dao King, or rather the overseer, was a lighthouse in the sea. He guided Lu Yun to the other shore, but it was up to the young man whether or not he could actually reach it.

Step by step, Lu Yun had reached his destination.

“How am I a match for them as things stand?” Lu Yun smiled ruefully. He believed the overseer without a shadow of a doubt.

The Tome of Life and Death was the source of everything. It wasn’t out of the question for the Dao King to retrieve it at this stage if he wanted to, but he didn’t. He used a variety of ways and methods to spur on Lu Yun from the moment the young man arrived at the Three Thousand, such as the eye and light of great dao.

It forced Lu Yun to continue improving himself and connect with the great dao here so that the world of the Three Thousand would hide the Tome of Life and Death for him.

The treasure had reached its final form upon its third evolution. If the Dao King had other motives in mind and wanted to use Lu Yun’s hand to reach his goal, it was high past time to pull up his net.

But when he appeared for a second time, he severed his connection to the Tome of Life and Death. The treasure was now wholly Lu Yun’s nascent spirit; no one within the nothing or existence could take it from him.

“True, you are no match for them now, but you are still growing. Once you fully control reincarnation, it will be easy to kill them.

“Also, the denizens of the Three Thousand are right. The inhabitants of the three hundred and sixty-five major cycle worlds are really just parasites. There is no meaning or value to their existence. All of their thoughts and nascent spirits are controlled by the demon gods.”
