New Waves

Chapter 12 - 16

Lee Na was an alumnus of the Wild, the best since the beginning of the school and a record of zero losses.

She wasn't someone from a rich background and came from a normal family. She was the only child and her parents were quite strict so it had major affect on her personality.

Lee Na doesn't talk much and is quite indifferent for the most part. She's straight to the point and responds in a way that lacks emotion. She is calculative with her responses as to diffuse a situation, but she is not afraid of talking someone down into submission through her intimidating aura.

Those who disobey the rules of the Wild's will be handled harshly and will have an even harsher treatment if they talk back to her especially when it's a student who knows the rules. She will follow the rules to the letter and will not hesitate when it comes to dealing with those who do not follow them.

This is doesn't change much even outside of work time.

She is the type that just relaxes at home and watches television, and never shows her weak side to anyone else.

Through the years this image is what stuck to everyone and many have tried to court her because of her excellence and beauty but none have passed her criteria.

They were just cowards and she never accepted those that couldn't stand on her level.

It has been 10 years since she started cultivating and she was known as the strongest woman Korea but sadly that title was false.

That title belonged to an Elder from a prestigious clan and Lee Na trained to enter that realm. Once she set her mind to something, Lee Na aimed for the top and never for the middle.

Even without a strong background Lee Na at her current age of 26 had arrived at the Advanced Master realm.

There are eight realms in cultivation but it doesn't mean someone from a lower realm can't beat someone higher. It just means they have satisfied the conditions to get to this level and it shows in the body.

The Ki circulates from the abdomen to the whole body and it forms a circular pill like shape in the abdomen, and as you grow this ball grows in layers.

The stages are called with simple names, Beginner, Intermediate, Expert, Master, Advanced Master, True Master, Grand Master and Beyond.

There were many elders at the stage of Advanced Master, some at the above levels but those who stood at the last stage were very few in numbers and were the highest point of humanity.

But being on the same stage doesn't mean being equal in power or skill.

Charles was a True Master and according to the man himself, it was his limit and he was at the middle point of the ranking.

Lee Na aimed to at least arrive at the True Master level top ranking as it would put her at the top of all women in Korea.

Everything had been going normally and she would recruit some new students soon when Song Jae Gu appeared.

From the first moment she had seen him, Lee Na knew he was special as it showed in the way he moved and his body.

Seeing his fights in the illegal ring and the fight with the girls, she had been impressed as it was much better than what she could ever have done at that age.

Even Queen was better than her level at that age.

But being a skilled fighter didn't mean you are a good cultivator of Ki so she reserved her thoughts until hat was done.

She expected it to take a week at least but the young man exceeded everyone's expectations and did it in an hour.

He was the talk of the Wild Guards as it meant that soon he would represent the image of the WG. With his potential it was just a matter of time before he arrived at their levels.

Not even Lee Na could compete with him in Cultivating Ki and he might arrive at her level in less than 10 years.

Lee Na agreed with such sentiments though she wasn't excited like the rest of the girl and she was not envious of his blessings either.

She was satisfied with what she had as she was also blessed and that was good enough.

It was her duty to guide the new generations to their maximum potential when asked and Lee Na would never fail her duties.

Watching the young man standing in front of her, Lee Na expected a good battle as he was very skilled but she had to beat him using Ki so the result was decided from the get go.

Her stats were superior to him even if she didn't use Ki and could break his bones with a single kick or punch.

"We will start and this will be painful for you." Lee Na said in a calm tone with her expressionless face

"I understand so you don't have to worry about me, Miss Lee Na." Song Jae Gu responded with a smile as he stood with confidence clear in his form

When Charles announced the battle, Lee Na didn't move and Song attacked.

Dashing towards the foe, Song went down at the last moment and sweeped but Lee Na saw through it and her knee came at him.

Song blocked it with his hands and the force pushed him back but he managed to use to kick her face.

Lee Na blocked the kick with her arm whole Song went for another kick from his left leg and she hit him with a palm attack.

Seeing through it, Song flew with the attack and landed safely.

It was fast paced and Lee Na could see through his moves.

'Her reaction speed is very fast and her limbs are too durable.' Song thought as she hadn't shown any signs of getting hurt and his kick would have brought down any normal person

It didn't matter if it was male or female, his kick was absolute knocker and she just blocked it.

It hurt his leg instead and if he did these kinds of attacks, he would most likely fracture his bones before scratching Lee Na.

'Fighting against people who are too durable is really difficult and reminds of me of the time with Master.' Song smiled as he focused on his foe while Lee Na was impressed with his attacks

With superior stats she had the advantage but his skills and reaction were top class.

Song move towards his foe without any indication of his move, the short distance between them was filed instantly and Lee Na stood like a stable mountain with her guard.

He pushed against the floor and gave a strong straight and Lee Na directed it away with her arm before counter attacking.

Song saw it coming and pushed forward while moving to the side to dodge the punch. His head would have hit her face but Lee Na responded in kind, hitting him with her head.

It was expected so Song didn't force it and fell with it while his legs caught her right leg. The way he naturally did it Lee Na was caught unaware and only stayed grounded by force.

"You know this is just so wrong." Song muttered with a chuckle as he held on to her leg and couldnt do anything with the amount of force he could apply

"Heh, it was better than what I expected and I hope to have a balanced fight with you in the future." Lee Na said in a lighter tone before she wiped the floor with Song for 10 whole minutes

She used Ki so that Song's body would learn to adapt to it and grow faster. It was painful and he fractured his bones but it was worth it.

During this short spar, Lee Na also showed him Ki moves not just body enhancement that he already knew.

Song didn't hide this fact and gave Lee Na a surprise attack when his finger pierced her skin when he caught her in the scissor hold.

If he had more Ki than this battle could be balanced when Lee Na wasn't using it but that would take some time so for now beatings were the only way to go.

She showed him the Wild Rush, a movement skill that increased the speed for a short time.

Wild Presence, a technique that affected the foe in a negative manner and caused him to slow down. It was like when a predator was staring at you.

Ki shield was actually something new and very useful. It required high reaction speed so you could form a proper Ki shield on the point where an attack was about to hit.

Beast Claw, it was a visible Ki shaped into a claw that struck the foe but it seems it was more than what he had thought.

It was an attack that could be used for direct attacking or blocking or capturing.

Ki attack was just sending Ki directly in any shape towards a foe.

Wild Burst, a technique that gathers Ki and explodes it at the right point for maximum impact.

Wild Spirit, a technique that stimulates the Ki inside and depending on your connection with the wild and your understanding of the Wild the power is increased and you are empowered by the wild.

Maybe they were still in the primary stages and there was another world out there. Maybe he could develop understanding of space and time to go back before the war.

With the things he learned for the day and the history of Murim, Song Jae Gu saw another goal awaken inside of him.
