New Waves
Chapter 9 - 13
Finishing up his morning routine, taking a shower and eating a full breakfast after some rest, Song saw off his siblings as the bus came to pick them up.
They had changed schools to the elementary section of the Wilds High, meaning they were part of the same system now.
Once the little ones were gone, Song drove his new car to school with his mother. The ride to school Song kept on talking so that his mother would relax as this was a very nerve wrecking moment.
She had never imagined such a thing in her life after having barely graduating from a normal high school and losing much of her youth.
The lack of any grand skill and determination also put her down so she believed that only small jobs suited her.
It was the same for most people, determination and will power was the thing that decided whether you can be successful or not.
Even if you have the money, skills and charm but if you lack these two qualities you won't amount to much.
Many rich men aren't well educated but they have the smartest people working under them because of these two qualities.
These two can lead anyone from the bottom tier to the higher tier in the normal world and many examples throughout life have shown it.
Lee was filled with strong will power and determination that was enhanced by his Master, which is why he could endure such a path.
In the ninja world taijutsu is never the main thing because of its limitations so people with average chakra levels were doomed to stay at the bottom unless they had another specialty.
Lee was born in an even worse condition as his body could never release chakra outside, making it impossible to use ninjutsu and genjutsu.
On that day his Master appeared and showed him the way, told him that he was special. His talent was taijutsu so he should dedicate his life to it.
That wasn't special as other master's could do it but his master was special and like a father to him. Might Guy is the greatest person alive in Lee's eyes the moment he believed in this cripple, the moment he decided to limit himself to just taijutsu for Lee and the moment he trained him.
Guy would die before anyone could kill Lee, this was undeniable and Lee would die before he let such harm happen to Guy.
Regardless it was will power and determination that made him achieve a level above the norm or he would be stuck at the bottom.
Most people would just train taijutsu without focusing too much on the physical improvement unlike them because ninjutsu and genjutsu are easier and have better affect.
Physical training also required a lot of work and pain to go through that most people can't handle. It is the same in the normal world where most people w.h.i.n.e about the unfairness of the world while people lower than them climb the stairs to success.
It can take 1 week to learn a jutsu that could destroy a house but it would take at least a year to get that much physical strength in the start.
Then there is the fact that taijutsu is close combat and most battles ended before they got too close.
There were many other reasons and it led to the downfall of physical training as ninjutsu took the main stage.
The path that Lee took was only for the strong hearted people and not for the faint of heart as only failure lay at the end for those people.
There was a time when Lee didn't understand this fact and continued to drag people while shouting his slogan to pump them up but with age came wisdom and he understood that people were just inherently different, not everyone was strong like him or Naruto.
It was the reason he was slow with his mother instead of pushy like before, he was patient and understanding.
"Mom, take care and let's talk about it when we get home. Remember to take it easy, there is no pressure." Song said as they stopped the car in the parking area
Sun Mi looked at her son who was so handsome and strong. She didn't know how she ended up with such a blessing.
He was the pillar that kept the foundation strong and gave her the will to go on.
Never showing weakness, never asking for anything except their well being, her son was perfection incarnate to Sun Mi.
She might never believe herself or others but she would never doubt her son.
"Hehe, just enjoy school and get a girl already. I will be fine." Sun Mi giggled as she gave him a kiss on his cheeks and got out

Separating from his mother, Song ended up in the principal's office to meet Charles.
The man was waiting for him and drinking coffee when he entered, and indicated for him to set on the opposite sofa.
"Good morning Song Jae Gu, I hope you had a wonderful night."
"Yes sir, I am very much satisfied with this arrangement but if you wouldn't mind, could you tell me about the Murim people living around my area."
Lee asked as he sat down and greeted both men sitting inside.
Charles smiled at his question as he was very much impressed by the young man as he didn't act like a blind battle freak.
"A good question and I plan to give you the data today so you will have the required knowledge of the Murim in Seoul. The rest you can learn slowly.
Now, what do you think is the limit of our world?"
Song wasn't expecting such a question but he was asking to check his aspirations, his dreams of power.
He had to think about it since this was new to him.
The scroll had brief details and vague statements about power.
Take in the Yin and Yang, rule the world and such kind of words that needed to be understood according to what you saw.
'There is no way it is giving you the power to destroy the world or the universe but it should be stronger than the normal world.' Song thought about it and remembered the atomic bombs
It was a power that Lee would have never dreamed and would have been shocked by if he hadn't seen worse things happen in the war.
Attacks that made the bomb look like a firecracker were taking place in the war and even the whole world was covered by the tree, leaving it to the risk of total annihilation.
"I don't know much about your world at the moment but what I expect is that the strongest among your kind should be able to level a city like Seoul at full power." Lee answered as he took in the power of the Kage and not the monsters in the war
Destroying a city only required range not much actual strength since buildings were easier to destroy than an actual mountain.
The current Kage also didn't have the power to destroy mountain ranges from what he remembered and the same went for the atomic bomb.
"You have watched too much fiction. Sadly we can't replicate Dragon ball but we can replicate Street Fighter."
"What?"
"I forget that you might not have seen such things. The strongest person known in the Murim world is called The Immortal Man, Tung Fu Rue from China.
He is the master of Ki cultivation but has no clan and lives peacefully in the urban region of China. You can meet him if you want as many people go to him to test their luck and become his students.
His age is around 150 but the man doesn't look a day older than 60 and a strong attack from him can easily collapse a skyscr.a.p.er.
He has been undefeated for a long time and the collapse of a skyscr.a.p.er took place few years ago if you watched the news.
It was a fight between the strongest fighters in USA, Terry Bogard and Geese Howard. These two men fought because of personal hatred between them and the battle caused the skyscr.a.p.er to collapse.
Fortunately the Murim association had vacated the civilians so the battle didn't cause any deaths and Geese Howard died in battle, making Terry Bogard the second strongest person in the world.
You must be wondering how this country can actually have such strong fighters when it doesn't have much history. It is a valid question and the answer is that all of them are connected to outside forces.
Terry and Geese are connected to the immortal man, they use the same martial arts and Terry had even learnt from the old man himself.
The normal world can't handle any of the top masters and would need to use the atomic bomb and such to take them out.
But this doesn't mean the masters can take over countries or anything as using such power and enduring such damage requires Ki and Ki isn't unlimited.
My level of power makes me strong enough to handle any attack below missiles and rockets. I would never even try to block such a thing and would dodge.
What do you think? Impressive isn't it, makes you feel like the world is so alien."
Song nodded with an excited expression as he heard the details, he was very much ready to fight all these fighters though the level of power was inferior to what he was used to.
In the old world, he had more power than this and he wasn't even the top. Children could move faster than mach 3 and he was around mach 30 at his full strength at the age of 13.
He could lift 1000 tonnes if he opened his gates in the war but he also couldn't handle the atomic bomb.
It was downgrade but that didn't mean he couldn't improve it. Just because it was the limit of the current world it didn't mean the future has to stay the same.
It was the philosophy of the hidden leaf that the new generation shall surpass the old and Lee wasn't going to stop at this ceiling.
"What about the strongest here?"
"Now that's an awkward situation because the strongest person of South Korea hates the Murim very much and the Murim association wants him dead.
The man is known as the Nine Arts Dragon and his master was killed by the association for spreading a berserk art.
Berserk arts have a bad history in the world as it leads to crazy fighters that kill everything insight until death takes them so you can guess it was very serious offence.
Regardless of their personal situation you should avoid the man at all costs as he might just kill you for being part of the Murim.
Moving on from that problem, I have great expectations for the man and hope to see him topple the Immortal man. He is like the Hope of this country to finally become the strongest."
"Why is he called the nine arts dragon?" Lee was intrigued and he felt sympathy for the unknown man as he would also go crazy if someone killed his master
"Hmm, let see. Korea is kind of different from other countries in one way, they have nine clans that follow a similar style that can be combined into one.
The Nine Arts is literally martial arts from nine sources combined into one person and every youth here has the chance to fight for a chance to learn these arts.
The clans hold a tournament every year for teens and kids to allow them to choose one art they want to learn that year.
In this system no one has ever learned all of the arts and it is just a theory that an immortal dragon will awaken once it's completed allowing the owner to soar to greater heights.
There is the Dragon claw, dragon legs, dragon eyes, dragon mind, dragon wings, dragon heart, dragon spirit, Dragon body and dragon fire.
Every art has its specialty and combining them would definitely create a monster. The current strongest person here that is part of the Murim is called the Three arts dragon.
Nine arts dragon is deemed as the strongest but he hasn't actually mastered all these arts unlike the three arts dragon. You could say Nine arts acted like a greedy child and took in everything without mastering it so he could most likely win against the actual fighter of our country but not as easy as it should be.
The day he disappeared he was still young and it's been a decade since then so his power could have gone down if he wasted away or he could have gone higher if he ended up growing his skills."
"Does this mean I can also learn it?"
Charles smiled as this was the reason he mentioned it, he had allowed the girls to fight for it as well before the age limit arrived but Lee had the chance to learn more as he was younger and stronger.
"Yes, they hold a tournament at the end of every year and there are five months left for the one held this year. I haven't learnt anything from here since I am an outsider but there is a similar technique called the Lion's heart in USA that I learnt after winning a tournament after trying many times.
The heart technique is about stamina and these skills you will learn are not allowed to be spread to anyone as you do not own them. The same goes for what you will learn from us. Without my permission you can never teach anyone these skills or your body will be crippled as you will enter a contract with us." Charles explained the rules of teaching so that Lee wouldn't make a mistake
Listening to his words, Song was ready to hit the gym and start training as a great battle was approaching. He was about to meet the best fighters of this generation and test his skills on them, maybe even get a match with an old timer.
"I understand and I will join this tournament to win it." Song said as he got up and nodded at him
"I will be leaving for class now sir and meet you after school."
"Take care and remember to focus on your studies." Charles said as Song opened the door
He didn't expect Lee to win this at all since the children from the other clans had trained with Ki at a younger age.
They might have lower skills but pure stats were in their hands as Song was still within human limits.
'Should I invest into him and allow him this year?' Charles wondered if he should spend his fortune and buy high class items help his growth or just wait out this year as the age limit was 20.
