Chapter 5:The King and his Castle

Riding up to the castle through a town at full speed mad me realize that this is different then what described in stories. The walls were emerald green on the top surrounding the capital in which the castle lies. From a distance, you can see the white wall of the castle with the red tiles. It's clean, majestic beauty can captivate anyone's eyes. That's if you aren't used to it, but before we were going to zip through the capital to the castle realization hit me. WE ARE STILL GOING FULL SPEED!!!

Have to slow down! Slowing down the carriage we almost hit a child who was running across the road. It was a good thing though that we stopped when the child came in front of the carriage. A woman emerged from the side of the road grabbing the child who was a little girl, then she bowed and rushed away like a frightened rabbit. Knowing that the little girl was out of the way I put the carriage at a slow speed knowing that if I go any faster, there will be no next time.

Now that we were at a slower speed it seemed like everything was different. Where ever we passed someone they would bow to the carriage. Then they would go about their daily life, but when the person was close to transport. That person would shiver in fear, bow, then run like as if a demon was at their tail. It was funny at first thinking that it was a practical joke, but when you saw their eyes, you could see real fear. With those looks in their eyes, you could tell that they genuinely feared the carriage when up close.

With the general who still looked sickly, I walked into the castle. Above my head hung a chandelier that shone with its light. It made the ceiling sparkle as though there were stars. Looking ahead of us I noticed that Sir. Earl was kneeling in front of a man with an imposing presence. It was almost as if he demanded others to meditation in his appearance. It felt like as if I was being strangled even from this distance. It was almost crushing. That's when I knew that this man in front of us was none other than the king. A presence so demanding which couldn't come from a general or a prince. This is what it was like to be in the presence of this man. It was frightening all my instincts told me to run, but I stood my ground. Looking down at my feet I took a breath and looked back up. That's when I noticed her.
