NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 204: Pushing Through The Dungeon

His short revelation didn't satisfy the curiosity and doubt of Nara and Jeffrey but at least they had one known usage of the black sand.

Bloom kept resting and waiting until the time was up. He stood and went towards the corridor while Nara and Jeffrey walked behind while gathering everyone with them.

Bloom stopped at the entrance where he checked the arrangement. "You are going to use the light daughters from the start?" he noticed the arrangement where the light daughters were just behind the first rows of the shield bearers.

"The weapon wilders will be around to help if needed," Nara said before adding, "we have to risk, otherwise we will take more time to clear the portal."

"It's susceptible to purification skills?" he asked as this was the only explanation behind this weird arrangement.

"That's what they said," Jeffrey glanced at the two dozen light daughters before adding, "I hope this is true and we can crush that portal in a shorter time."

"Alright," Bloom nodded before heading towards the corridor.

"Won't you summon the clones now?" Nara ran to catch up with him.

"Shouldn't you stay behind and guard those light daughters?"

"I'm guarding you."

"I don't need any," Bloom shrugged.

"What about the clones?" Nara asked again as they got near the next hall.

"I don't need them this early," he muttered before adding, "I'll clear a path, make sure you won't be delayed behind."

He then ran towards the hall. For him as long as the leveler was there then these monsters were doomed to be lower than his level.

His sudden appearance was accompanied by loud roars and many bangs. He wasn't fazed as he used both swords to clear up the way in front of him.

Each stab threw one skeleton to the side while hitting a couple more in the way. Bloom used this way to make sure the skeletons would be dispersed, and he used a couple of dash skills to evade some angry skeletons.

"Follow him," Jeffrey's shout came from behind while many purification skills started to rain down the skeletons all around him. Bloom started to aim towards the portal, while the last thing to come here were his pets.

He kept them for last as their main role wasn't to fight the monsters here but to hold that nasty corridor linking the hall with the next one.

"Shade doppelganger festival."

The moment the team grouped around the portal he summoned his clones. "Keep it stunned all the time," he gave the order to part of the clones before adding, "the rest stay here and guard the team. Don't let any skeleton come near them."

His seventeen clones were divided into two groups, one at the portal and the rest started to disperse to surround the team. They used their swords and skills to throw off the skeletons everywhere, while Bloom started to jump using his dash skills to reach the corridor.

As for Nara and others, they stayed behind while focusing only over the portal. Endless stream of skills landed over the portal while they were totally guarded by Bloom's clones.

Bloom didn't stay there in the corridor doing nothing. He took out his bow and started turning as many skeletons into his pets as possible.

"I need to prepare for the worse," he muttered while not caring about the huge amount of dark points he was losing right now.

"Rumble!"

Just when the portal's Hp decreased lower than thirty percent it shook and that startled everyone.

"Damn," Bloom cursed out loud, "prepare for the impact," he retreated a couple of meters behind the corridor while guiding all his skeletons to go inside the corridor and block it.

"If you won't target my skeletons willingly then I will force you to do that," he sneered when he heard the loud bang of the two waves of skeletons hitting each other inside the corridor.

He sent his skeletons halfway through it, and more skeletons were lined to replace those dying inside. "I hope this buys you sometime," he turned to glance at the nearby portal and the few number of skeletons trying to reach the team with no avail.

His defensive line of the clones was really effective. Not a single skeleton managed to trespass them. "I hope they could kill these first," he turned his bow towards the remaining skeletons, "or I could turn them into my pets faster."

Within the next minutes he kept turning as many skeletons here into pets while the rest were killed by the clones.

"Boom!"

But at the same time the berserk skeletons were drawing nearer with each second.

"Hurry," he finally shouted, "come inside and stop them."

Ten clones moved at once to reach the about to be breached corridor. They entered it without hesitation and the next thing he heard was a series of bangs as huge bodies hit the walls of the corridor.

"Go inside and help them," he shouted at his standing pets, "push them all the way towards the next hall."

He waited while watching his pets pressing forward after the steps of his clones. He knew the ten clones inside were enough to halt the steps of the skeleton wave, but he doubted something.

"Will this cause a problem?" he knew the mix of his clones and pets would be enough to push the skeletons all the way back to the next hall. This made him doubt if this was something good or bad.

"Sigh, I have no way to stop this," he shook his head, hoping nothing bad will come from this.

In the next minutes the sound of skeletons fighting against his clones and pets started to draw further away. "Time for me to hasten things here," he turned towards the portal and the next instant he used a dash skill to hit the portal and then he used a myriad of his skills without any reservation.

The team didn't lose any player so far, and that helped in making the speed of the portal losing Hp become monstrous.

"Couple more minutes," he shouted out loud while taking a glimpse back at the corridor, "we are almost there."

The portal had less than five percent of its Hp now, and as he expected in less than two minutes it was smashed into pieces.

Yet even after this, the sounds of fighting coming from the corridor didn't end.

"What's going on?" Nara came while catching up her breaths, "why the skeletons are still fighting?"

Bloom bitterly smiled and explained his theory to her and everyone. When they heard him, the look over their faces changed.

"But…" Nara paused as she turned her glance around, "we didn't lose any however most of our skills are on cooldown. The light daughters and staff holders exhausted their magic power already. Not to mention other classes have low stamina now."

Bloom nodded in understanding as this was something expected. "Don't we have potions?" he asked.

"We have," Jeffrey said before sighing, "but not to cover our needs in the entire dungeon if we continued doing things this way."

"It's like we are racing time to clear the dungeon fast. We shouldn't do that," Nara commented.

"Any better options then?" Bloom didn't like this whining from them as he added, "this is the only tactic where we won't lose anyone. If we switched back to the initial strategy then we will lose at least half of our players with each clearance."

"Not to mention the low amount of Xp gained from these skeletons," one of the light daughters expressed her opinion which was the fact.

The amount of Xp didn't only decrease because of the low levels of the skeletons thanks to the leveler, but also because of the addition of more players to the team.

"There is no perfect solution out there," Bloom simply said before turning towards the black sand around, "spread out the potions and let's keep pushing forward until we deplete them. Then we can return to use the previous tactic."

Nara and Jeffrey exchanged silent glances while he hurriedly gathered the black sand, leaving the rest of the loot for others to collect.

"Are you ready?" he went to the corridor while adding, "follow me and don't slack, we will have it much easier in the next hall."

The team didn't delay in following him while the sounds of the brutal fighting in the next hall were getting louder with each step.

When they reached the next hall they were astonished to see a smaller number of skeletons standing there.

"Weird," one of the players muttered, "didn't the portal emit skeletons to replenish the fallen?"

Just as he said this, the portal shook and the next instant a batch of skeletons appeared in the hall.

"Shut up next time, will ya?" Bloom gave that player a stern glance before turning towards the portal and used a dash directly to seal it.

"Follow him," Jeffrey shouted while the remaining clones went to continue sealing the portal.

"There is the issue of the clone remaining time," Bloom noticed this problem before sighing, "I do hope their time will be enough for this hall at least."
