Gabrielle uneasily pulled the car onto the driveway of their house. After Eddie's most unneeded remark, the atmosphere tersely became silent.

Whenever Alfie stopped glaring at Mark, his eyes were on Eddie. The mother sighed. Alfie's hotheadedness must have come from her genes. Why evolution why?

"We're home!" What was supposed to be a jolly welcoming was strained, but non the less it brought relief to everyone.

Alfie dashed inside-forgetting his manners-undoubtedly to find Donovan. Leaving a very much awkward Eddie in the car.

The thought of the pair brought guilt to Gabrielle. She planned on informing her two boys of Donovan's adoption when her youngest was old enough to understand. But, imagine the horror of seeing your three year old son shamelessly ask your possible monster of an adoptive son to be his bride!

No, Gabrielle didn't have any ill feelings when a small Alfie proposed to Donovan. He also was announcing to the world he was going to marry Iris. It's a little children thing.

What Gabrielle was horrified about was Donovan's response. Donovan was a twelve year old boy at that time. Honestly a young ȧduŀt, hitting puberty. From the laundry, both Iris and Gabrielle knew he had hit the phase of wet dreams.

It is perfectly normal, so neither pointed it out.

Alfie was muddy from rummaging in their backyard, looking for the perfect flower to propose with, but that only enhanced his adorableness...

And then Donovan went into heat. A week after his last heat had ended. Gabrielle quickly yanked Donovan away from the scene, leaving a very much confused Alfie. Fortunately he was too young at the time to notice omega heat pheromones. Donovan spent the entirety of his heat locked in his room. Gabrielle made up her mind then and there to never disperse the fact Donovan isn't their blood sibling.

She wanted to use the barrier of ɨnċėst to put an end to Alfie's feelings... and that of Donovan's reciprocation. Gabrielle was more than relieved when she was introduced Donovan introduced Mark to her, and just today when Alfie introduced Eddie.

But Alfie... must still have those despicable (me lolz) feelings toward Donovan.

"Mrs. Oaks? Aren't you getting out of the car?"

"Huh? Oh... right. Yes. Just got lost in my thoughts dear." Gabrielle awkwardly climbed out, chuckling. "It must be my old age."

"Hon', you don't look a day over twenty one! You fiiiineee."

Ok, Eddie's sassiness did lose him a few points. Eh, she can deal with this headache. Better than that other bigger headache.

"Right." Gabrielle walked past the young boy. "I believe we have some horchata in the fridge. That to your liking?"

"...is it vegan?"

"Right juice it is darling. Come follow me into the kitchen." Gabrielle's left eye twitched. Nothing against vegans, hopefully the boy won't lecture them about their meat choices. Although, all of the omegas are vegetarian.

"Can I wait in Alfie's room?" Eddie's intentions wasn't well hidden.

"The kitchen's right this way darling." Gabrielle did not want to scare the poor boy off, so she pretended she didn't hear him. Eddie's face fell as he stepped into the house.

There was a loud crash and many vulgarities were exchanged. Then a very angry Mark stormed out of the house, making sure to slam the door.

"So... where's the kitchen?"

Gabrielle was more than relieved to hear Eddie ask.
