One Piece: And The Original

A few weeks have passed as Ace and Luffy still haven't talked. He is so stubborn. But I don't have time to worry about them. Luffy is getting stronger and the same goes for me. That old man really is interesting.

(Flashback)

"How did you do it?" I ask as I look at him in the eye.

" Do what?"

"Make that bear leave in fear"

"Want me to teach you?" He asks with his eyebrows raised and eyes that look at me with interest.

I nod. "What did you do? And how can I do it too"

The old man laughs as the sits down again.

"What I used that day is called conquers Haki. Beside conquers Haki there are two more. Observational Haki and Armament Haki. Every kind of Haki has stages to be mastered. While the latter two can be learned, the first you have to be born with. The Haki that makes you a ruler. What would you like to start with? Armament Haki or Observational Haki?"

I think thoroughly as this is a hard question. My physique is good and so are my senses. But if I look at Luffy, I can't hurt logic devil fruit users. But on the other hand, my immortality only awakens when I'm 14. So till then I can be killed. Observational Haki would be the wisest choice when I look at the short term and safety. While I think hard I can hear Naguri laughing.

"How about I teach you the basics in both so that you can continue your training when you are not here. While I can still give you pointers on how to better understand the principles of the training?"

As he says that, I nod. That would be the best option.

(End of flashback)

And like that is train Observational Haki when I train with Naguri, and train Armament Haki when we're back at the house. As Luffy and Ace still aren't talking and Luffy doesn't really have time to hunt while he is training, I do the cooking and hunting for us two. If those two idiots want to eat my cooking they better come ask it themselves while I'm at Naguri's. Because when I go back I won't cook, even if they beg, so they better man up.

While I do hunt for Luffy, I also see it as a kind of training. As I put on a blindfold and earplugs I go hunt. The earplugs don't help much, but they still mute the sound a little. I try not to use my Kagune and only my superhuman strength as that would kind of be cheating and it wouldn't be called training.

I sit crosslegged on the ground. I'm starting easy as there are only small animals here. Most of them are rabbits, rats, birds and snakes. As I want to train I obviously are sitting near a cave filled with snakes. Though I do have my supernatural healing, it isn't on the level of being undying. The poison will probably hurt for a few hours till it has been completely cleansed from my body. Lets hope the training pays of. Otherwise Luffy has to cook, and I really don't want to eat his cooking.

As I can hear the first snake crawling up towards me I try to sense it with my Haki. It must be close, otherwise I wouldn't have heard it with my earplugs in. As I can only see darkness it feels like it will strike on my left. As the feeling gives me the signal I dodge backwards. I can feel air go past me on the front as the snake misses. I smile as I keep dodging it. I'm starting to get the hang of this.

Shall I increase the numbers? As this idea pops up I grab a stone nearby and throw it in the direction where the cave is. As I keep dodging snake #1, snake #2 and 3 show up. let's keep up the pace. I still have about an hour before I have to get back to prepare dinner.

As I walk back with a bunch of snakes on my shoulder and a bear in my free hand I can see Luffy jumping up and down back at the camp. It looks like he is ready to eat dinner, I can only sigh at my misfortune for tonight.

As I got a bit overconfident while training I threw the rock a bit too far in the cave. having a snake break-out as a result. I didn't want to give up my training, but 50 snakes are still too much for me. Eventually I still got bitten. Big movements aren't that bad, but my muscles and joints are stiff when I try to use fine movements. So using a knife and bottles is a bit too difficult.

I cried inwardly as I know that I would definitely die after the meal of tonight. But every bad side has a good side, as I can see Ace and Sabo coming up to us. Ace his pride must have been broken by Sabo. I'm just glad I don't have to eat gallows meal on my own.

As Luffy is cooking us dinner I can see Ace talking with the old man. At which he takes Ace and Sabo towards the ship he has been building. I smile as I see Ace has a better looking expression on his face. "Old man, can you train them too?"

I can't let Luffy win the bet. Ace must become a part of the White beard pirates. Ace seemed a bit reluctant, but still agreed to go with it. Sabo joining in as well. If he trains a bit of observation haki he may be able to avoid the gunshot.. Well no use thinking about what will en may not happen, for now let's eat and die together.
