One Piece: And The Original

As Sabo drags us from our 'beds' he shows us a big tree. I look at it but still question his remark of 'the perfect place'.

Sabo feels my eyes piercing him as he quickly begins to explain himself "It's a treehouse! Our secret base. If we build this we won't have to sleep in the rain in a cave or bush anymore!"

I must say that the idea sounds appealing. I slowly nod my head and make up a plan. "Lets get some supplies from the terminal"

Luffy and Ace begin to grin as I confirmed it as a good plan.

Over the next few days four kids could be seen coming and going from the grey terminal dragging materials with them. Sometimes they would even drag a sofa with them. Over time it has become a normal occurrence.

The tree that is about 10-15 meters tall is now filled with wooden planks and nails sticking out. A boy with long arms is seen loading board at higher places while the other three are making a foundation.

"Luffy, why not become a construction worker?" I ask with a slight grin on my face. this however made Luffy angry and go on strike, refusing to lift any more materials.

"You're still such a kid, how come you're more childish than me while you're older? well I think you can make your own food tonight. For those who do not work, shall not eat" I smile as I lift up the wooden planks that Luffy dropped on the floor. It takes Luffy a few minute to process what my words meant before he springs into acting screaming. "NO! Don't take my food! I'll work! So don't take my food!" As he grabs more wood than before and starts to lift it up to the top of the tree. With Luffy working faster, our house was done in 3 days. And while we where building our house I could still hear the bandits searching. They really don't know how to quit do they? I smile as I see Magra and Dogra showing up in the bushes and turning around to inform Dadan they have found us. They took longer than I thought they would. But then again, we do the hunting most of the time, so they probably don't come out that much.

As night came I can hear someone approaching, duding from the sound it must be Dadan who came to check up on us. She slowly comes up the tree and waits at the entrance of the house.

"At least their sleeping faces are no different from 'normal' kids their age" Dadan whispers afraid to wake us. But who am I kidding, you think I can sleep when a giant woman comes up a tree, no way. I watch as is she her looking at Luffy. He just kicked off his blanket as Dadan reacts to move closer. "You'll get a cold like that" She inches closer with a strange motherly sweet smile on her face. A small smile starts to form at my face as I see her walking up to the string. As the force of her leg pulls the sting, a mechanism starts to work. Why is she waiting and watching what is does? She really is not that smart.

A click goes off as a giant hammer appears. It hits her in the stomach and sees her flying out of the house. I can hear a few painful grunts as I see her falling down the tree she fell into.

"Sh*t, I'm never going to worry about them again!" She yells as she walks away as she drags her painful leg behind her.

"What was that noice?" Ace asks while rubbing his eyes.

"I think it was Dadan" I answer totally honest.

"No way" Luffy and Ace say in union. While Sabo just shakes his head as denying the possibility of Dadan caring about them.

I just shrug my shoulders as I don't really care what they do and don't believe. I just never knew she could have that face while looking at those three little devils. With how many times they make her angry.

Well the world isn't out of wonders yet. Who knows what it's got to offer me.

As I shake my head I return to bed. Only to feel Luffy not only kicking off his blanket, but also mine. Sigh.

Like that half a year passes and it's winter right now. In the morning we start as usual with fishing or hunting for breakfast and training and/or stealing money in the day. As we return from a fruitful day we encounter a black and white bear. We make up a plan and start to corner it in a mountain range. As Luffy waits above the edge of the cliff, we make sure the bear is in the right place. Well I say we, but it's mostly Ace and Sabo as I am the back-up with my Ukaku ready.

The bear stops at the bottom of the cliff as Luffy jumps down. He hits it full force at the head and knocks it out. Luffy screams and laughs at his success with his hands raised in the air. But he cheered to early as a giant tiger creeps up atop off the cliff. It jumps on the bear and looks at Luffy.
