Outcast Hunter

One by one, that's how groups reached the 100th floor. None of them decided to ally with the other to clear the tower more efficiently. Maybe they were confident enough that they would reach the top without the help of others.

They moved to another room, the opposite of the earlier room. It reeks of blood and dead bodies. The stench that would make turn someone's insides, upside down. Some of them puked as soon as they smelled the air came out of the container, it seems that the others are used to the sight and smell of dead bodies.

It was a normal, round arena. Every group were given a seat.

[Hmm.... it looks like everyone is here. Now for the final show of the Tower Climbing, I present to you my lovely little pet that I took in. Only one group at a time can fight it. About the treasures, I said that the first one to climbed at this very top will be rewarded by choosing from one of the treasures. Climbing up here was a ticket, for you lots will use to fight my lovely cute little whale. It's group A, the first group to reached the 100th floor, so they get to fight first. If their team defeated my pet, they get to choose first and as for the second group to pick, of course it will be the second group who climbed the tower. Whoo! That's one hell of an explanation, I hope you all understood me! Good luck!]

'She's being sincere this time'

The lights went off all of a sudden and then a bright spotlight was lit. There, a cute little whale was standing with its feet. It was the size of a dog.

[Our first team, group A, please step up to the stage.]

Another spotlight was pointed to Leo's group. They stood up and walked towards the stage.

[Let the final battle begin!]

Somewhere in another universe, a man with his weapon on his hand, stabbing another man repeatedly. Slowly torturing him, and then he would heal him and then stab again. He tried not to hit his vitals, he might die instantly and he wouldn't want that. The man being stabbed was screaming in pain, then he would be relieve of it and then again.

"Just... kill me... already!" He glared intently at the man stabbing him.

The man smirked and stabbed his guts, so he, again, let out a loud voice.

"I'm enjoying every bits of this, so why would I do that?"

Behind him, there was another man. It was killing what seems to be still alive. There was a war, was it good side that win? Or was it the evil? We can easily guess that.

"You should stop that habit of yours. Here give him to me" he offered his hands, "I'll kill him if you won't do it"

He lightly slapped its offering hand.

"You've already killed your enemies, this is mine so stay put, okay?"

"Hahahaha! Then, I'm gonna take my leave. I've helped you, so you owe me one"

He wiped off the blood from his sword and sheathed it.

"Yes, yes, now go"

He's shooing on him away.

"Yeah, I leave my 'place', it might be peaceful now"

Then with that, the other took off and vanished in the air.

The man he's stabbing everywhere won't scream anymore. Won't even beg too, he's lost his sense of mind.

"Ahh, what? He's already done for"

He's finished playing with him so he killed it by decapitation. He picked up the head and a spear, he stick the spear into the ground and put the head at the tip of the spear.

"This suits you nice. Better than that weak body of yours"

Thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands or a million. That's the count of the bodies lying all over the battlefield. It was piles over piles, corpse of monsters and hunters that is. There were even elders and children caught up in this war. It might be 1/4 of the population that had died.

A yellow light, that soon turned into orb had came out of the decapitated body.

"Mn... your grace, how beautiful"

He swallowed the orb down. He felt power surging from all over his body. His sated body, aches all over again. He wants to fight, anyone can do, he just want to release all of it in one go.

"This... is my power!"

No one would think that the cute little pet of the administrator's a terrifying sea monster, sometimes called a sea serpent.

Tom had some knowledge about Greek mythologies. He's trying to remember where have he heard the name Cetus. He browse through his head, trying hard to remember, and finally he remembered.

"I remember now! That's a sea monster or sea serpent. Other versions describe Cetus as a monster with the head of a greyhound and the body of a whale or dolphin, and a divided, fan-like tail. It is often depicted fighting Perseus or as the mount (animal being ridden) of a Nereid. That's what I've read about Cetus"

[Ohh! We've got ourselves a knowledgeable fellow. It is what he said, so be careful of Cetus]

Cetus began growling like a huge creature. Their earlier cute image of Cetus was changed into a terrifying one. The cute little whale that was smiling a while ago was turned into a huge disgusting whale. Its spit leaking down its mouth, and its tiny little legs grew larger and the nails were sharp enough to cut down anyone into half.

"Shit, that's what we're fighting? Look at it, one bite and you're done!" Evan isn't lying when he said that. Its huge, wide mouth anyone could get swallowed down.

"Chickening out now are you? You're free to go if you're scared to fight Cetus"

'When did Leo became so confident in front of a powerful monster? Did he have a boost of confidence recently? What is it I wonder'

"O-of course not! I've come this far, why would I quit now!? I'm fighting too!"

Evan's always wearing his gloves, the one he received as a reward.

"Then it's decided"

[Cetus! You can run wild now!]

From where Cetus was, it uses its large feet to moved, crawling directly to their location. Cetus opened its mouth creepily, until it found its mark down to Leo's location. Cetus tried to bite Leo whole but instead it was kicked by him as he lightly dodge the attack. Leo made sure to put force to that kicked but it wasn't effected and Leo was hit by its tail. Leo was thrown away by its tail, he uses his feet to stopped himself and a message from the Cabal had been sent.

[Critical hit from Cetus, be careful from getting another hit]

[Enemy using skill, Water Bubble. Enemy will release bubbles, if hit by it, one would be trapped and enemy will slowly drain MP and HP]

"Tom, Evan! Be wary of its bubbles. Don't touch it!"

Leo's quite far from them since he was blown away from them. The others were watching them, sitting quietly as they watched.

"Do you think they'll win?"

Ruhan who's recently annoyed and pissed by Drago had cooled down a bit. Although she's still wanna kill Drago for what he did, she let it go for this time but will pursue the matter later.

"Why? You worried?"

Drago won't stop angering her, he must have a death wish for not stopping to pissed her. She glared at him.

"Worried? Why would I? I'm just asking Zest's opinion about this fight! And can you stop talking to me! You pisses me off!"

Drago chuckled, knowing that he had pissed her more, again. Then he waved his hands showing that he'll stop.

"My opinion huh? Well, it has just started so I can't say much. But from the looks of it, they'll have it tough"

Expressionless as usual, Zest's favorite quote is "“A good lawyer, just like a good poker player, must always keep his cards close to his chest" that's why he always keep a poker face and won't show expression from anything.

Cetus released his Water Bubbles, it has the size of a tennis ball, it has quite a large number. That gives Leo and company little space to move.

"Maybe our weapons would pop it?" Tom had suggested a good way to get out of this predicament, but will it do? Or will it not? There's only one way to know, that is to do it.

Leo had picked up a sword whilst on his way to 100th floor, he didn't want to fight barehanded. It was a katana he had picked up from a dead samurai.

"Let me try!"

He took out his katana, the bubbles were floating everywhere the arena. There's a bubble on his way, he popped it using the tip of the katana. The three of them waited for what will happen, one, two, three, four, and then five. A bubble formed from the tip of the katana and it slowly enveloped the katana. Had not Leo let go of the katana he might have also get trapped.

'So it was useless huh!?'
