Overlord: Start from the Goblin Lair

Chapter 325 Separate Actions

Count Richthofen didn't want to talk too much about his former family. Ron racked his brains to ask around, but all he got were emotions like "loneliness" and "regret", which were of no help to the truth. He even asked about the location of the grave of the count's wife and daughter, but when Ron and others went to the grave in the name of paying homage the next day, they saw nothing but extremely luxurious decorations and marble tombstones that were still as new as hundreds of years.

It seems that it will end up in the attic.

On the day the action began, everyone was prepared. When the patrolling undead creatures before Gargoyle Opal left, everyone under the cover of invisibility immediately rushed to the stairs leading to the attic.

Butler Alfred seemed to have noticed something wrong. He stepped forward and was about to go over to see what happened, but a loud noise in the next room completely attracted his attention. The butler rushed into the room, but saw the goblin and a big white rat who were guests looking at him innocently. At the feet of Driver was a valuable vase that had been broken into pieces.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Alfred..." There was no apology in Driver's words, "Dabai and I were playing here, and accidentally-"

"It's okay, Mr. Driver," the butler forced a smile on his stiff face, "Did the fragments hurt you?"

These are just ordinary works of art, which can be restored to their original state with magic. Driver didn't cause any big trouble.

"Let me help you! Dabai, you come and help too! It was you who kicked the vase just now, wasn't it!" Seeing the butler took out the cleaning tools like a magic trick and was ready to clean up, Driver's eyes turned, and he rushed up and tried to grab the tools from the butler's hand.

"This is my fault, I can't cause you trouble! Come on, let me clean it up, you give it to me-give it to you!"

"Bang" sounded softly, and as the smoke and dust collapsed into a ball, Driver and Alfred stared at the goblin's hand with wide eyes. The goblin hunter had obviously used too much force just now, so although he had taken the cleaning tool, the butler's broken hand was still attached to the handle of the tool.

"Here, let me see if I can reattach it?"

"Don't..."

"Don't worry, I'm very familiar with needlework, just trust me!"

Alfred's brain, which had been a mess for centuries, naturally couldn't think of the reason why Driver did this. He just gave the guests the best reception according to the host's wishes and was careful not to let them go to the attic. The current situation has overloaded his brain.

In order to take care of the mood of the goblin guests, the butler had to postpone the order of "going upstairs to confirm the attic situation" again and again, allowing Driver to fiddle with it, which was exactly what Ron and others wanted.

"Driverford has succeeded," Ron glanced and saw a gray mouse as small as a thumb running up from downstairs. He immediately began to cast spells and waved his hand to remove all the iron locks on the attic. Victoria stepped forward and pulled the door handle, and a musty smell immediately came out from the inside of the room.

If this was an exploration in a dungeon, everyone would definitely wait until the smell inside dissipated before considering entering, but according to Driverford's description, the woman inside would most likely not give them this opportunity. In order to prevent the earl who was still sleeping from being disturbed, Ron went in first, covered his mouth and nose, and rushed into the room.

Although he was prepared, when Ron really entered the room, a sharp claw wind still appeared from a tricky angle, piercing Ron's face with a sound of breaking through the air.

"Hah!" The monk shouted in a deep voice. Facing the white shadow that suddenly attacked everyone, he did not hesitate at all. He threw a punch and knocked the attacker away with his claws. The white figure was no match for the monk at all. After just one fight, he was thrown into the corner like a rag bag. The rest of the people hurried in and locked the door again.

The dirty air made his vision turbid. Ron carefully cast two layers of protective spells on himself, and then slowly approached the attacker who seemed to have been knocked unconscious.

Just as Driver said, this was a woman, even a young woman, but she seemed to have not washed for a long time. Her ankle-length hair was split and tangled, and her body was covered with dirt.

But strangely, the woman's clothes looked brand new, just a little dirty, which made her look extremely inconsistent.

"You don't take a bath but you like to wash clothes frequently?" Ivy looked at the unconscious woman with a strange expression, "Who would do such a thing?"

"Are you serious?" Yelena looked around the room, "There's not even a cup of drinking water here, take a bath and wash clothes?"

"Of course magic can do it, but if she can use magic, why not do it?" Ron shrugged, "Victoria, can you help wake her up? Quest may have been a bit heavy just now."

"I didn't expect she was just an ordinary person," the monk who was still in the form of a tiefling said helplessly, "She jumped down from the ceiling to attack you, I thought she would at least be able to resist a little bit..."

"Being able to move on it is a credit to the room," Ron hurriedly checked the room while Victoria was waking her up. "There are enchanted runes in effect everywhere, allowing her to move around here like a spider. There are other types of enchantments on the bed and desk, but looking at the ash on them, I think she hasn't used them for a long time."

"She made her nest in the corner over there, right next to the stove," Ivy pointed to the cotton and rags that had long since rotted into a pool, "Like a wild animal, she chose a relatively safe and warm environment."

"Then the fire Almost burned her nest," Yelena frowned as she looked at the "nest" that used to be bed sheets and quilts. The side near the stove had obvious signs of being burned by fire. "Why would the count lock such a woman here? Is he afraid that she would go out and scare people to death? Or is he worried about the furnishings in the castle?"

"I think it's more like protecting her," Victoria slowly got up from the woman and patted the ash and mud on her hands. "There are not only undead creatures here, but also many wild animals."

"Hmm..." Before Victoria finished speaking, the woman at her feet moaned, slowly opened her brown eyes, and woke up.

"I had a good sleep... I was so tired - but who are you?"
