Chapter 35 - Anger
"You-" Felix muttered walking up to Boris and grabbed him by the collar, "What did he do to you? Why are you such a dog to him? Are you being blackmailed? I don't know why you are like this but I can save you, just stop resisting."
Boris stared hard into Felix's eyes, his golden eyes glowing with anger, "get your dirty hands off me," Boris growled slapping Felix's hand away, "I wonder how tall and mighty your horse must be for you to think you can act all high and mighty in my prince's palace but people do not need to be hooked by money in order to achieve loyalty. I am here on my own will but you are here against mine so get out. I have no intention of helping filthy snakes."
Felix stepped back, his hand hot from where Boris had slapped, "I don't get it, why are you so loyal to him? YOU SHOULD BE TO ME... Is there something else you get from the prince, are you guys in that type of relationship?"
It took a while for Boris to understand his words but when he did, he hid his blush, "most likely not," He replied, "and even we were, I would be the one chasing after him, not him."
"What?" Felix muttered, unable to understand the words that came out of Boris' mouth.
"If you are done trying to get answers out of me," Boris smiled harshly and pointed at the door, "get out of my sight. I've seen so much and heard so much that even the sight of you right now just drains me, so before I resort to calling the guards," Boris' eyes flicked to a cold spine wavering glare, "get out, now."
Felix immediately turned around and walked out the door. Boris had been pushing him out of every week, the feeling of walking out of the doors ashamed, and brutally rejected was so familiar to him now. But today something about this shameful walk out after being rejected just seemed so much more frustrating. He could still remember Boris' words clearly, 'even if we were, I would be the one chasing after him, not him' what was that supposed to mean? Feeling defeated, he trudged down the hall.
Boris swiveled in his chair and turned to a window looking out at the city below, carrying out their daily lives like nothing happened. Was it only his time that was stuck? Revolving around the same schedule every day, meeting the same people he hated and missed, again and again. He read through loads of work and felt the hate from the council's who kept very hidden but harsh eyes on him. Yet in a life so eventful, he was unable to see the one he wanted to see the most.. 'Please come back home soon,' Boris thought, looking up to the sky, knowing his prince would be somewhere fighting for his country under the same sky, 'please.'
