Pokemon Pearl

A few days had passed, and at night, while they're having dinner, as well as their Pokémon in their food, Lucas and Rosario gave their youngest son great news: they'll be enrolling Rico for a new school. This shocks their son a lot.

"What?" Rico commented in rising shock. "A new school?" Nodding to say yes, Lucas responded in positivity, "Yes, here in Kanto, there's a school that'll teach you more about Pokémon."

"Wow, there is?" Rico asked back in amazement. Nodding to say yes, Lucas positively responded, "Yes, here in Kanto there's a school that'll teach you more about Pokémon."

"Woah..." Rico replied in rising amazement.

"And..." Lucas added some more details about the new school, "... the headmaster there will be Professor Ronaldo."

"Him?" Rico asked back in rising amazement. "Professor Campillo's ȧssisting professor?"

"Yes," Rosario answered back brightly, "and here's your registration form;" she then pulled out a sheet of paper containing Rico's registration form for the Kanto Academy and placed it onto the table. Rico and Jonathan then glanced at it. Here are the information of the form:

Name: Rico Titus Algavas Cruz

Age: 12

Birthday: August 15th

Blood Type: AB

Address: Kawayan City, Philas

Parents/Guardians: Lucas Cruz

Rosario Cruz

Had any Pokémon?: Yes

Was a Pokémon Trainer?: Yes

Signed by: Lucas and Rosario Cruz.

After looking at it, Rico looked at his parents and commented, "Wow, that was so cool and great. I never expected this will happen. Thank you, mom and dad."

"You're welcome, son," Lucas replied back gratefully. "And you'll be starting by tommorow morning."

"Make sure your bag is prepared," Rosario added a reminder happily. Because of this, Rico rapidly finished his meal and drank his glass of mango juice, and responded like, "Don't worry, I'll be prepared."

"Good luck, little brother," Jonathan wished him good luck.

Later on, by 8:00 p.m., while Rosario and Jonathan washed the dishes and Lucas cleaning the table, Rico was walking down the hallway from the bathroom after brushing his teeth, only to stumble upon a brightly-lit desk at his parents' bedroom. The room was dark, but lightened up by the lamp on the desk. With curiosity, Rico entered in and looked at the papers his father had written. It was multiple, comprising of around a dozen letters, all addressed to Lucas's old friend, known as Mr. K. Though he saw the name, Rico didn't know who he was.

"What in the world...?" he thought in question. He then picked up one of these and leisurely reads it. The letter was Lucas's thoughts, written on paper. The letter says:

"Dear Mr. K,

Rico came back from his trip to the Abandoned Power Plant. He said it was great and adventurous, even caught a Pokémon called Shinx. It was great. I was quite proud of him. No, I'm proud of both of my kids. Well, I hoped we'll see each other again, someday.

Best Wishes,

Lucas Cruz."

This puzzles the young boy severely, and he, not wanting his father to be mad, put it back and exit the room immediately. This was another clue for his true identity.

Later by 9:44 p.m., at their shared bedroom, as Jonathan and his Pokémon slept peacefully, Rico could not sleep, looking at the ceiling in the dark. His Pokémon had been asleep less than an hour ago.

"Who's that Mr. K?" he thought in wonder. "Why dad would write for him? Who is he? That's mysterious. Well, I think a good night sleep will relax me. I hoped I'll be prepared by tomorrow morning;" he then closed his eyes and slept peacefully. The night was peaceful and lovely. But, will Rico be ready for his trials for tomorrow?
