Pokemon Pearl

Chapter 90 - 49 - Celadon City Memories

The next morning, they left for Celadon City, with Clemont and Bonnie joining them for a while.

After hours of walking and flying on Ash's Pokémon, they had finally reached Celadon City, a large city. Prior to their destination, they had lunch along the way. It was afternoon, with the sun setting over the horizon.

"Wow, that city was huge!" Rico commented the city.

"It's so close!" Bonnie added. Her Dedenne then responded with happy comment.

"Well, this is Celadon City," Ash brightly introduced the city to them, "the place where the Grass-type gym is..." Then in an embarrassing state, "...and my memories began to play." His Pikachu then responded with embarrassment of its Trainer.

Later on, they stopped at a hotel and booked a few rooms for two days. By dinner time, they are in a restaurant across the street from the hotel eating up. Their Pokémon are eating their special food on food bowls around them nearby.

"Wait, what?" Trip commented on Ash's story about his experience in Celadon City.

"You're saying that you're not allowed to enter the gym just because you hate perfumes?" Serena added a comment while holding her glass of Iced Tea.

"Yeah, that's true," Ash embarrassingly replied while scratching his head a little.

"Now that gym leader is rude," Iris commented back.

"Yeah, but I managed to obtain their gym badge after rescuing the gym leader's Pokémon," Ash gave them a happy ending of his story.

"Rescue?" Rico asked in response. Ash was surprised at first, and then chuckled a bit, replying, "You'll find out soon, Rico."

"Seriously?" Rico thought in uninteresting. Though their visit will be short, but it will reveal Ash's time there.

Later back at the hotel, in his room with Clemont and Bonnie, Rico was brushing his teeth in the bathroom's sink. After 30 seconds, he was done rinsing his mouth and exit the bathroom carrying his toothbrush and a little toothpaste. In their bedroom with 3 comfy beds, Rico hopped on his bed and checked his smartphone for calls or messages while Bonnie happily playing with Dedenne and Clemont working on in his tech stuff. Rico then dialed his elder brother.

Meanwhile, back at Pallet Town, Jonathan was staring at his Pokémon Egg encased in a sealed glass display when Rico was calling in his phone. Hearing it ringing, Jonathan reached for his phone and answered it, "Rico, hi, good evening. How are you? Where are you now?"

"Hi, elder brother," Rico happily greeted him back. "We're in Celadon City now!" Surprised by this news, Jonathan quickly replied, "Woah, that was fast. But how?"

"Flying-type Pokémon!" Rico happily answered. This sends Jonathan in a bit of disbelief. Jonathan then responded, "Really?" His face was like a man in disbelief about an event.

"Yup, that's true," Rico responded back. Now in belief, Jonathan replied, "Oh, I believe it now. Okay. Well, um, guess what, the walls and the roof at the staircase are now finished. We may go upstairs comfortably and safely."

"Wow, that was fast," Rico replied in surprise.

"Yeah, they had been working all day long," Jonathan responded. This follows with a short silence.

"Well, it's getting late now," Jonathan said to him breaking the silence.

"You're right, I'm going to bed now," Rico said his last goodbye. "Okay, good night."

"Good night to you too,", Jonathan replied to him as well, "and be safe out there;" he and his brother then ended their conversation for the night. Later by 9:49 p.m., as lights are out, Rico was lying on his bed looking at the ceiling, as if he had a bit of insomnia. Clemont, Bonnie, and Dedenne fell asleep.

"I really wished to catch new Pokémon," he thought in hoping. "What will be? An Electric-type? A Ground-type? Another Water-type? Well, I don't know. I think sleeping will clear it out to a few possibilities;" he then closed his eyes and slept peacefully.

The next morning, Rico, Ash, and their group are having breakfast at the same restaurant across the street from the hotel, along with their Pokémon.

"Ash used to be weak?" Rico asked in commentary to Clemont.

"Yeah, but with Greninja in his side," Clemont told him a story about Ash, "he's a lot stronger than before."

"Wow, that was awesome," Rico replied.

"But we were sad when Ash's Greninja left him to finish the mission in Kalos," Clemont continued on with downing sadness.

"Wow, that was heart-breaking," Rico replied with concern.

"But it's back and we are more stronger than ever!" Ash gave him a good ending. His Pikachu then responded with happiness.

"Oh, that's why I saw it with you," Rico figured out why.

"That was amazing, Ash," Trip commented with positivity, "I hopped you'll be stronger in the future."

"Thanks, Trip," Ash happily responded. That was a good evaluation from a rival like Trip.

Later after breakfast, they are now walking around the city, touring, with Pokémon in their side. The weather was great and the atmosphere there is good.

"Woah, this city was so huge!" Rico commented in amazement. Lucario then responded in amazement.

"I remembered there's a party at the top floor of a building and their Pokémon went a bit too far," Ash told them a story.

"What happened?" Iris asked in curiosity.

"Some kids acted as Pokémon possibly by their Hypno," Ash responded with facts. His friends then got surprised by it.

"But thanks to a Pokémon called Drowzee," Ash gave them a good ending, "the kids who acted as Pokémon went back to their normal selves." They get it what Ash said, with immediate effect.

"Wow, that was crazy," Rico commented in positively. His Lucario then responded in commentary. Ash, in response, showed them the house on a tall building.

"That is it, If I remembered correctly," Ash said to them. Seeing the top from below, they were astonished and amazed by its luxurious looks.

"Woah, I think that one is for rich people only," Rico commented.

Not much time was wasted, they are at front of Celadon City's gym.

"What type that gym is?" asked Iris in curiosity.

"Grass-type," Ash responded with knowledge.

"Oh, a Grass-type gym..." Clemont replied in knowing. Then, suddenly, the gym leader, Erika, a young and serene woman, came out, only to see Ash and his group.

"Hi, Ash, it's been a long time," she greeted them. Upon seeing her, Ash greeted her back, so as Pikachu. The group then turned around and see the two knowing each other.

"Wait, is she the gym leader here?" Clemont asked Ash suddenly.

"Yup," Ash brightly replied.

Moments later, they are now inside the gym and Erika told the rest about Ash's time there. Most of them are hilarious and funny, while the minor are heroic and tragic. Minutes later, they blinked their eyes a few times, and then, bursted into laughter a lot in funny as Ash scratching his head in embarrassment.

"Yeah, that's true, guys," Ash said to them in positive embarrassment. He then stopped scratching his head.

"Seriously, Ash, you dressed up as a girl?" Rico commented in hilarious.

"Then Pikachu electrified you?" Iris added a comment.

"Yeah, but Team Rocket forced me to do so," Ash told them why. This interrupts their laughter drastically.

"Team Rocket forced you?" Clemont asked him in shock.

"Yes, so they could sneak in and stole what they believed to be a secret formula," Ash told the middle of the story.

"Really, Ash?" Serena asked him back.

"Yes, but it turns out to be..." Ash responded with expectation of someone will say the rest.

"... essence of Gloom," Erika happily finished Ash's sentence. Because of that, they bursted into laughter again, but it is the same as the previous.

"I think they got what they deserved," Clemont commented. They all laughed together, embarrassing Team Rocket a lot. This time is all about funny moments and memories Ash had in the past. Yeah, it's so funny.
