Rebellious Path

Well now, that was indeed extremely shocking. Never in my life did I see Reika do that. It was elegant and strong, I could feel the shockwave she protruded. I smirked seeing that, I couldn't believe it, but now I could brag more about her, haha.

I bet I'm not the only one surprised by that. I bet even, Fumiko and Lilia, no, everyone is shocked. I couldn't help but turn my gaze at them and could only see them looking at Reika with shock and awe plastered on their faces.

I couldn't help but chuckle a bit as I proceeded to look at the weapons presented. They were all amazing to look at! The designs were unique and outstanding! I wanted to take them all with me, but then, I don't think that I even need a weapon.

I don't even know how to use weapons, I think. I just proceeded to skim through every single one of these weapons as my eyes glimmered. There were swords, spears, bows, guns, and all of them were quite unique as if having their own unique attribute to them.

Just as I was about to finish skimming through everything, I saw something quite interesting. It was a dart in the shape of a triangular prism whilst a chain attached to it.

It was actually my first time seeing such type of weapon, so I'm clearly intrigued. I then proceeded to grab it and a chain that is 5 meters long followed. I proceeded to look at Fumiko as I said, "May I ask what this is Dean?"

Fumiko who was looking at all of us in a daze with a smile plastered on her face, snapped out of her daze as she looked at me with a smile while she looked at the weapon in my hand.

"You don't have to call me Dean, just my name is fine, and hmm, oh! right, it's called a rope dart. That is a weapon from ancient times. And that particular one... wasn't made by us. We found it in a temple in one of our private islands", Fumiko said as she smiled at me. Well, I listened to everything, but I couldn't help but focus n the first part. 'One of our private islands', that's just...

I just smiled awkwardly as I proceeded to turn my head to the rope dart in my hands. I then grabbed the dart and started to look at it intently and I saw something. It was some engraving on it, and it was a shape of a... fancy hourglass?

Just as I looked at the engraving, I felt my consciousness suddenly getting s.u.c.k.e.d away causing my feet to stagger. Mt body feels as if it was burning and my head feels like it was ripped off.

A couple of minutes passed by as the pain finally subsided, but then, I looked around and saw that everything was frozen stiff. was it ice-, no, it feels as if time has frozen itself.

Suddenly the rope dart in my hand floated as the engraved hourglass started to glow. Suddenly, a magic circle appeared on it. The magic circle was etched with... an hourglass. Then, the hourglass suddenly flipped as it shone brightly blinding my eyes for a few seconds.

Whilst the light slowly faded away, I could finally open my eyes. As I opened it, I saw a woman. And that same woman was the one I saw when I was struck by the meteor.

"You are!?". I couldn't help but exclaim. The woman then smiled at me lightly as she walked towards me. She then placed her hand on my cheek as she closed in on me as she whispered, "Yes, It's me, you're finally able to find this, my champion."

She didn't even give me time to respond as she locked her lips on mine. I felt as if I've known her for millions of eons, I felt as if, she was someone dear to me. She then backed away as she said, "The second blessing has been given, now it will be much easier to contact you, my champion."

Just then, I felt as if she was going to disappear forever so I asked loudly, "Can you tell me your name?". she just slightly giggled as she embraced me whilst whispering, "You'll know soon... It seems time has been disrupted for too long. Well then, I shall go... But before I go, I have to warn you. They are coming for you."

Coming for me? Who? I then asked, "What do you mean?", she proceeded to smile at me bitterly as she said, "All I know is... your father is alive", hearing that she included my father who was already dead, I was confused. "How is he alive?"

"He has been resurrected for the sole purpose of destroying you and your family. I have to go champion. Remember, I am always with you, no matter what", as she said that she slowly disappeared, leaving me who was enraged hearing he is alive and was even planning on hurting my family.

Bloodl.u.s.t covered me, which I tried to suppress. My eyes were filled with rage, but I tried my best to contain myself. The rope dart flung to my hand and wrapped around my arm as time seemed to start to move again, and I was snapped out of my fury.

As time got out of its frozen state, I completely suppressed my anger and calmed myself down by thinking about my cute little sisters, my mom, and the girls. That certainly did calm me down if I must say.

Fumiko was still looking at me when the time suddenly froze and when she saw me again, I've moved from my previous position a bit and the chain completely wrapped around my shoulder. That alone, made her brows furrow.

'What happened there? What did he do? This is quite... strange. But, then again, some strange occurrences do happen in the world especially after everyone changed. This is just a thing you can merely shrug off', she thought in her mind as she completely dismissed the thought in her mind. But, is what she assumed, right? or wrong?

Well, I did not particularly look at her as I just stared at the engraving on the dart. Just then, I felt my magical power getting s.u.c.k.e.d in while I felt that I could control it to however I want, and what's more, I feel like... time is in my hands.

I just took my head off the negative as I turned to look at Fumiko and smiled, "Dea-, Fumiko-san, I'll choose this one", When I was about to say, Dean, she looked at me in the eyes as if she was threatening me. Well, I was not particularly afraid, but she asked me to call her by her name, so I did.

Fumiko just smiled at me as she said, "Sure! no problem!", I smiled back at her as I walked away from the selection of weapons and stood beside Reika. Reika then glanced at me coquettishly as her face blushed a tiny title bit. I couldn't help but gulp as I held her free hand with my own.

Well, first of all, Lilia, well, Lilia did use weapons, and she mostly uses a spear. So, of course, she chose a spear. Her spear had many intricate designs that were very appealing to the eyes, but those designs are not just for designs, but in fact, it was, spells that enhance the overall prowess of the weapon.

Next up is Aerin, she chose guns. Well, not gonna lie, it kinda suits her coolness and her looks in some way. She chose not one, but two guns which had a sci-fi feel to it and it looked extremely cool. The two were pistols that looked like twins, so she chose to dual wield eh.

Anna's weapon of choice was a bow that was majestic to look at. And her elf ears completely complimented the bow. She held it with her hands with an extremely excited expression plastered on her face. She also had a quilt filled with unique looking arrows. Well, she can use mana arrows, but then, these arrows were special, it not only sucks in mana to make it stronger but in fact, it also repels mana that tried to obstruct it.

Lala's weapon was somewhat like her claws. Well, it was claw gauntlets after all. Being a cat-human, using claw gauntlets are perfect! They can rely on their instincts with their attacks and they could easily win! That was a perfect choice.

Aoi's weapon is an incredibly cool looking katana. She was once part of the kendo club, so I'm sure she can use it. And what's more, she was the best at kendo at the school. Her katana had very great details and design and also engravings that make it stronger than ever. And there was a mechanism that seems to use fire magic.

Last but not the least, Hina chose to get a dagger, no two daggers. It looked somewhat special, and the designs were amazing. It looked so sharp as well. There were also engravings on the blade that makes it amazing. It was as if it was illusion magic that makes you unable to detect the wielder and the dagger alike.

Now that we got all our weapons, we thanked Fumiko greatly. Fumiko just smiled as she seemed to enjoy the praise. After that, she brought us all at their kitchen in which food was already prepared, and the one who made the food was a... robot. This is quite interesting if I might say.
