Rebellious Path

After that awkward conversation with the cute little vampire, we headed back to the capital. We had a few stops here and there, fighting a few bit of monsters. It was really energising fighting monsters. It's like exercise and I quite like it, to be fair.

I felt like my body had been bursting with power after the system upgrade, but I had the feeling that it had something to do with one of the things that were mentioned. So all I did was open the system menu and opened the [Previous Notification] button. A panel appeared before me, after doing so, and it revealed what had been previously shown to me. I quickly focus on two notifications there.

[Unlocking 'Low Mortal' Memories. Trigger command to start the process. Make sure to be in a safe area and be prepared. You will feel severe amounts of pain during the recovering process]

[Aura Upgraded: Low Mortal ---> Mortal]

My aura did become more robust than before that a group of level fifty monsters would want to flee. I am really thankful with the current system update; so many advantages presented for me! Then, my eyes hovered at the notification that came before the aura upgrade. I couldn't help but squint my eyes and contemplate.

('Low Mortal Memories'... that basically means that all the memories that I had ever since I came back to life were only a typical bunch? To be fair, I only learned a lot of things about s.e.x; a few particular ways to speed up my learning and strengthening process; and a couple of skills. Huh? It does seem… really few.

It might be an excellent choice to begin the recovery process and gain these 'Low Mortal Memories', but right now, isn't a perfect choice. I guess when I'm alone. I don't want the girls to be worried about me suddenly screaming if the pain is too harsh because it did mention that I will feel a severe amount of pain during recovery.

After setting those tasks in my mind, I placed it in my to-do list in my brain and focused on the road. Yumina was currently sleeping in my l.a.p with a few drools on her face that I found way too cute! I smiled lightly whilst rubbing away the saliva, causing her to smile in a rather unexpectedly charming way.

I gave her a peck on the forehead and smiled once more whilst Farah looked sideways with a charming smile that I hadn't expected. It's rare to see her smile! Wait... why are you saying it's not? Well... she... she does smile a lot with me, especially after we had s.e.x…

After a few more minutes, we finally arrived at the capital!

The guard recognised us immediately and let us enter through the gates. I simply glanced at that with a thankful smile whilst rubbing the head of my daughter. It's only been a few days, but my daughter is my daughter, no matter what!

The guards just gave a thumbs up with grins up their faces whilst seemingly laughing with each other whilst exclaiming sentences that mentioned me, causing me to chuckle lightly.

"Take care of your daughter!"

"Aye! So young but already has a child… reminds me of the old times…"

"Old times? OH! You mean the time when we were younger! Yeah, you never got any girls because they always run away at your sight. I wouldn't be mentioning that if I were you. HAHA!"

"Ugh... Shut up, you f.u.c.k.i.n.g traitorous bastard."

"HAHAHAHAHA"

I almost laughed, but I was able to suppress it thankfully. I didn't want to risk waking this cute little girl to wake up with my loud laughter. I just traced my finger along her little face as our carriage travelled to the castle with ease due to the cobblestone road. I really like the look of the medieval period that the modern one. I like the atmosphere better as well; not polluted unlike on earth.

We left the carriage for the servant to place on the stables, and we immediately went inside the castle, casually heading towards the throne room. We opened the doors, and Louise looked at us with a quite endearing smile.

"Welcome back! And oh! Rosette! I didn't expect you to come with them!"

"Well... I guess... it's certainly an unexpected visit."

Rosette spoke so casually with Louise. Well, it's to be expected; Louise wants people to just be casual with her, not formal. And besides, Rosette and Louise must've known each other for a long time, mainly because Rosette is the best blacksmith in the entirety of the kingdom.

With that said, Louise turned around to look at me and the others with a very endearing smile that could churn the heart of thousands. I smiled back and looked at her beautiful face. Louise also looked at me directly. But then, she remembered some sort of event that caused her to blush, leading her to turn her face away.

"*Cough* Welcome back, R-Riku, girls!"

Well, I would gain nothing trying to think about it. If Louise hates me because of it, I can do nothing. If she likes me even after that, then I'll be pretty happy, not gonna lie.

"So… uhh, I finally got my armour! Rosete is just amazing. It's almost as if her talent in the craft was limitless, and she created this masterpiece!"

I presented the armour that Rosette made with, of course, plenty of compliments aimed towards Rosette. I was really thankful for what she had made. Rosette, who was currently beside me, fidgeted with embarrassment and happiness that I complimented her. Her face was flushing red, causing her to almost lose her composure, but she held it off.

"It's made by this Kingdom's best blacksmith after all!", Louise added with a giggle, causing Rosette to be filled with embarrassment. She was not used to being bombarded with tons of compliments, and she felt like burying her head inside a hole.

"*Cough* Anyway... I will stay in an inn nearby, and come visit tomorrow, it's already dusk."

Rosette shook her head, causing the chains holding her hair together to rattle. With a beautiful smirk, she turned around and prepared to leave. Louise tried to stop her by saying, "Ah! Rosette, how about you stay here for the night?"

Rosette turned back to look at Louise with a smile, and said, "Well, I wouldn't want to inconvenience you... So, I'll decline. As I said, I'd stay at an inn and come back tomorrow", Ultimately declining the offer.

Well, I also preferred for her to stay just because that bastard might try to use the people who carried him out of prison to capture her. I didn't want that, so I had to speak up.

"Rosette, can you really not stay?"

"F-Fine, I guess I'll stay."

On the other side, Louise was giggling with a red face.

"Hahaha, It seems that even Rosette has fallen for Riku's charm."

I just grinned at that comment whilst Rosette was thinking about something else entirely. (It's not entirely about his charm... I already know that he is charming but... Everything... Everything about him is perfect.) Rosette was already shying her face away, but soon she shook her head and coughed to be able to regain her composure.

"Well then, I should let the servants prepare dinner for all of us."

As the servants heard the command, they nodded their heads with a smile as they prepared the food. Of course, who wouldn't be smiling, working under such a kind-hearted person? She treated fairly and equally, and not like they were some kind of disposable equipment.

Soon, time passed, and we ate the dinner that was prepared for us. With a few little talks, we all went out and headed to our rooms. Well, right now, I was currently lying on the bed with two cute girls resting upon my shoulders. I would typically just sleep, but... I wanted to go out for the time being.

Carefully, I took advantage of warp and warped out of their arms and used my speed with a few wind enchants to carefully lay their heads. I wouldn't want them to wake up from their sleep.

The moonlight shone brightly, and the wind of the night flew by, glazing everything with the cold yet soothing wind. I used a wind spell to make me fly by manipulating the wind and flew right at the top of the palace. The view looked magnificent, indeed. It seems that I've visited too little places in the capital.

As I neared, I slowly descended to the ground uniquely as if I was some kind of holy being descending from the skies to present itself to its servants. It was really quiet then as there were no people in the area since it's night. I proceeded to squat whilst looking at the fields, only to the admire it waving through the winds that were blowing.

I wanted… something peaceful like this. I wanted to live with my family in a place like this. That includes all the wives that I will get in the future, if it's possible. I chuckled at my thoughts as I smiled with a breath of relief whilst standing up and looked at the church behind me. I proceeded to go inside the church. Fortunately, it was open.

As I went inside, I was amazed by how holy this place seemed to be. It was really dark as there were no candles lit, but I could see clearly. Right inside the church, there were five statues of what seemed to be goddesses. Just by the statue alone, everyone would know how beautiful they were.

With that, I just smiled as I walked up to the statues and sat down at one of the chair and looked at the statues. I didn't know why, but they seemed to oddly familiar. Especially the one at the farthest right. I stood up and decided to take a closer look.

Just then, as I was about to be as close as I can get to the statue, I turned my head around and saw a certain someone there. They were surprised by me and almost fall on the ground. Gladly, I caught them, but their candle couldn't be saved. And oh, did I forget that there was a shriek along with it?

With that, I decided to see who it was, but it seems that they wanted to cover their face in embarrassment, but I sure do know that it was a woman due to the softness of the body and this beautiful pair of bouncy b.r.e.a.s.ts. However, it seems that I had already met her, whoever she was. The voice and the softness were very familiar, as if it was clung to me every day. And indeed I knew her.
