After some clicking and adjustments by the system, Matthew now has a 1 and a half meters long tail made up of half of the snake's body with the snake's head being the end of his tail.

At first, Matthew thought that just getting a general snake's tail with the middle part of the snake's body would already serve its purpose to become another useful hand that can grab onto stuff or enable him to dangle from a tree with only using his tail. And he was also afraid if he did have two heads, he would have two different consciousnesses or it would be split in two. Or worse, he would get a concussion if the head of his snake tail was hit by a great amount of force. This means that he will be getting another weak point to his body which he didn't want to happen since getting more weak points while his enemy keeps on getting stronger is just simply not worth it.

Fortunately, after consulting with the system, Matthew had found a way to add the snake's head to the ends of his tail.

Why was Matthew quite adamant about adding the snake's head as his tail? Initially, he remembered that there was a mythological creature back on earth that also had it. Although it was quite different since the mythological creature had a lion's head, a pair of wings on its side, and a snake head at its tail, Matthew was still intrigued after imagining that with a snake's head on his tail, he would be able to register his venom without getting too close with his opponents while also retaining the ability to grab onto stuff. He would also not lose the ability to coil his snake's tail around things and that could be used either as simple as dangling himself from a tree branch or even more practical use in combat to restrain his enemy by choking their necks.

And by consulting with the system, Matthew figured out a way to make the snake's head work without getting himself another weak point onto his body. And the answer was to simply remove the snake's brain from its head and fully rely on his chameleon brain to control the tail by combining it with his nervous system.

Matthew would have never figured out a way on how to do that on his own, but luckily, the system is there doing its job splendidly. Making Matthew feel bad that he had almost called the system useless when it couldn't answer of it his stupid questions.

The system single-handedly adjusted the placement of the tail connected the nervous system from the tail to his brain and dumped several useless features from the snake's body that have no use for Matthew's body while keeping the useful one. For example, not only did the snake's head lose its brain but it also lost its ability to digest the things that went into the mouth. Matthew already had a fully-functioning digestive system in his body. He wouldn't need a second one that would only complicate things and cost him more bionutrients to connect it with the original digestive system.

But it doesn't mean that the snake's head couldn't swallow stuff either. Matthew could use hollow parts in the middle of the flexible snake's muscles to store things. With the absence of the stomach acid and digestive enzyme, his snake tail won't be able to break down anything and it would be able to store uneaten meat if Mattthew's stomach happens to be full.

However, as Matthew had planned before, that was not the main reason why Matthew wanted to keep the snake's head. Once again with the system's help, it replaced the snake's venom glands on its head with his newly evolved venom option glands that were able to exert different kinds of venom and kept the snake's fangs so that he would be able to insert his venom to his prey later on. And with the system keeping the snake's muscle and spine on, Matthew was sure that it would be strong enough to squeeze a deer's neck and choke it to death with the sheer strength of the snake's muscle.

Aside from that, Matthew also asked the system to enable it so that he could choose whether he wanted the snake's eyes to be functional or not. Matthew already had the chameleon's eyes that enabled him to see to all the directions of his body including his back, but he had also wanted to be able to see from the snake's eyes since there might be times when he would need to hide his body behind a large bush or a tree and he could use his snake tail as a spy camera that could go into small, narrow spaces or navigate through obstacles. So that he would be able to observe what happened on the other side where his chameleon eyes weren't able to see.

And also, Matthew wasn't being stingy with his spy camera and changed the snake's eyes with a copy of his chameleon eyes and also added the wolf's night vision to it, making it have the exact same spec as his original eyes on his head.

For the last addition to his tail, since Matthew wanted to use his tail as another weapon, Matthew changed the snake's scales with the crocodile scutes to make it tougher and able to deal more damage to his enemies. Although the shape of the crocodile scutes was more similar to dull spikes, the ragged texture was enough to make it able to cause more damage compared to the original snake's smooth scales. And also, to make sure that he would still be considered a chameleon by the system, Matthew made sure to also add the chameleon's color-changing properties to his tail.

Of course, without a single problem except spending more bionutrients, the system arranged everything and made the snake's tail just like how Matthew wanted it to be.

'Even eating the whole snake's body only gave me a little under 300 bionutrients…  But I guess it does make sense when I add all those features to it…' It was considered good spending for him and exchanging a little under 1000 bionutrients to get an essentially almost fully functional 1 and a half meter long snake as his own tail is nothing but worth it. So Matthew didn't waste time and mull over it more than 3 seconds long before moving on to the next beasts on the list.

The next beast on the list is supposed to be the main focus of his fourth evolution if not for the fact that Matthew had gone through quite a lot these past weeks and had opened his eyes to the possibilities of the other beasts' body parts that he missed. The beast in question is the bear.

Ever since Matthew saw how strong the bear's strength is and knowing that even his solid aura constructs were devouring considerably more aura than usual to keep up with repairing the damage that the bear's attacks caused made him want to have the bear's strength even more.

Matthew knew that the bear's strength had a lot to do with their hulking body and heavyweight. But he surely couldn't have that big of a body if he still wanted to keep his agility, so he needed to make compromises and find the right balance where he would still get a huge boost of strength while still keeping his agility above the average line.

And how to do that is what Matthew has been thinking all this time. Keeping his bodyweight the same as it currently is is impossible and Matthew knew that he had to put on more weight if he wanted the bear's strength. Since he couldn't just transplant the whole bear's torso onto his own because it would make his body unbalanced, Matthew had to change his current muscle with the bear's muscle. The huge bear's muscle might increase his weight, but it's a price he's willing to pay for the exchange of greater strength. And without adding the bear's fat, the weight increase won't be as much if he just used the bear's whole torso.

Of course, Matthew asked the system first before doing this and it answered,

[The Horribilis Brown Bear has denser muscles, made mostly of longer fibers that are capable of greater exertion. Most of their muscles are fast-twitch muscles, which makes them capable of very powerful, explosive movements.]

Although his strength wouldn't be as powerful as the real bear due to his lacking weight, the denser muscle and the fast twitching muscle will still be a great boost to himself.

Matthew also changed his arms' muscles with the bears, but he kept the monkey's fingers and the claws on the tip of his fingers because he still wanted the versatility a five-finger hand gave him compared to having a bear's paw. He also remembered to keep the crocodile scutes and the spider's silk glands that had been added to his original hands.
