Since that night, Basara stayed at the Nonaka house and had s.e.x with Kaoru every single day. Today is the day everyone would return from the Inner Shrine. Basara went to receive them. Basara greeted Yuki, Kurumi, Takashi and all his friends. Takashi was the only one who came out of the Ceremonial Chamber. He had formed a contract with Byakko. The Elders had a surprise for Basara.

"Basara we want you to go to the Inner Shrine and contract another spirit."

"But I already have Brynhildr."

"It doesn't matter, consider this a show of appreciation for saving the village."

Basara nodded and entered the shrine. He went inside the Ceremonial Chamber. He decided to contract with one of the four gods. Three weapons were present inside the place. They were Suzaku(Vermillion Bird), Genbu(Black Tortoise) and Seiryuu(Blue Dragon). Byakko(White Tiger) was not here since it had already chosen Takashi.

When Basara stops in the middle of the room, something unexpected happened. All three weapons emitted rays of light that flew towards Basara. The next moment the three weapons appeared by Basara's side. It seems all three of them had chosen him as his master. He was surprised, while the villagers were shocked out of their wits and the elders almost fainted. A miracle had happened! All three divine weapons chose a single person as their master.

The elders dropped their jaws while the children kept praising Basara. His tablet was truly heaven defying indeed. This boy would become the strongest hero and would go on to become the Commander of the entire world's hero clan. This thought was coursing through the mind of all the a.d.u.l.ts. A grand feast was held in the village celebrating Everett child getting a weapon.

All the heroes in the village were very happy. Basara played with his friends. They all had a lot of fun. Celes and several other children came from the Vatican and the hero clans to congratulate them. After a long night, all the villagers had gathered in the town square.

An important announcement would be made. Basara already knew that it would be regarding the death Shiba. Once everyone was gathered, Atsuta started speaking:

"Today all of us have gathered here to reveal an important news. It seems that Shiba has died. We never found his body, but we know that his soul essence has vanished meaning he is no more."

The villagers were shocked at this revelation. How could that Shiba have died? He was so damn strong! All the villagers started talking, but all of them had relief I'm their heart. Finally the threat is gone. Shiba was a danger to the village, now that he's gone the village should be safe.

"Now that we have conveyed to you his news. It's time to notify our young generation."

Fuji began speaking:

"Since all the children have contracted with spirits and received their weapons. The rules shall be explained to them." Everyone nodded in response to his words.

"My dear children, we, the heroes have two jobs. Protecting the Innocents and destroying the evil ones. We all heroes are given missions on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. These missions range from collecting valuable herbs, to hunting demonic beasts, monsters, evil spirits, demons etc. The missions range from F to SSS Rank. They are F, E, D, C, B, B+, A, A+, AA, AAA, S, S+, SS and SSS. F is the lowest while SSS is the highest. There is a time limit to every mission such as a day, week, month or a year."

Kumano spoke:

"You can get your missions from the Village Guild. According to what level missions you complete you'll be ranked. You can select any mission you want within your rank or missions of rank below yours. And for upper ranked missions you can form a group to take part in it, but you can't take part in a mission two or more level higher than yours. For example if you are B rank hero and want to accept a B+ rank quest, you have to gather four other B rank heroes to form a team of five, then you five can compete in that mission. You can't do an A rank mission no matter how many B ranks you gather. And also the rewards will be split between the five of you equally."

"Which brings to my next point, you'll receive rewards for every mission you complete. After each mission, you will receive a time period to rest equivalent to the time period within which you'll need to complete the mission. For example if you did a mission whose time limit is twenty four hours or a day. Then after completing that mission you can rest for twenty four hours, but after that you must I and immediately accept a new mission. We keep tracks of all your activities so if you slack off or don't complete a mission in time or waste time in accepting a new mission you'll be duly punished."

"There will be some missions that'll be done by some particular specimens. The guild gives some special missions to some particular people and those missions must be completed in time no matter what. There will also be emergency missions that are of utmost importance and might require the entire hero clan."

"Now we'll explain the part which you children like the most, rewards. The rewards can be different regarding each quest. Rewards range from money, pills, magic stones, potions, herbs to valuable equipments, weapons, legendary items, divine artifacts and other treasures. Since all of you are new all of you would be placed in the F rank, in the usual circ.u.mstances. But as we see this new generation of heroes holds great talent and promise. That's why all you children will be placed in the E rank. You'll have to climb to the upper ranks with your own effort. But Basara will be given an advantage, since he saved the village from the S rank evil spirit that was sealed within Brynhildr. Basara will be directly placed in the S rank."

Loud claps echoed throughout the village as people congratulated Basara. They all agreed to the decision of the elders. After all Basara didn't just save the village, he even killed that S rank evil spirit. Basara's rank was now higher than most heroes within the Hero Village.

"Finally we want to say to all you children that we wish you all the best of luck. But remember a hero's greatest is not killing demons, rather it's saving innocent lives."

"All of you can now go to your homes and rest. Tomorrow come to the guild to receive your missions. Goodbye."

Basara went to his house. He was eager to receive his first mission tomorrow. It was going to be amazing!
