RWBY: Survival

It's been four years since Sapphire has been born and his life has been anything but quiet, first is that Ozpin came to visit them when they were seven months old. He and Ozpin got along well because of how Ozpin caught him reading a book about Grimm, Glynda who accompanied Ozpin liked Ruby more than Sapphire.

Now every once in a while Ozpin and Glynda come to visit them, Ruby being taught manners by Glynda while he is being taught mathematics by Ozpin although he doesn't need it it's alright, He thought that his existence altered the timeline a little as he overheard Summer talking to Ozpin about enrolling me to Beacon.

"He has a lot of potential Summer, so I think that you should take him around Remnant and train him," Ozpin said while sipping on coffee, Summer thought with a frown and said "Is it really fine? I don't want to take away his childhood by training him" Ozpin shook his head, "You're not taking away his childhood I think he might like that, don't you agree young Sapphire?" he said

Sapphire then revealed himself, embarrassed that Ozpin was able to sense him. He chuckled as he scratched his cheek, "I got found" Summer jumped out of her chair, "Sapphire I thought you were with your sister outside" Sapphire then frowned slightly, "I was but Auntie Glynda started talking to Ruby about manners and etiquette, it was too boring."

Ozpin chuckled as he gestured for Sapphire to sit beside him, "You already heard from our conversation that we want you to travel around Remnant and improve your skills right?" Sapphire simply looked at the table to see cookies. Nabbing some cookies, he stuffed them into his mouth. "Well, do you want to accompany your mother?" He asked gently, Sapphire looked at Ozpin and thought, 'Is this the trip that mom goes missing on? Then by asking me this does that mean I can prevent mom from disappearing?' He looked unsure and played with his fingers as he softy said with uncertainty, "Is it okay?"

Ozpin didn't respond but only glanced at Summer, he wasn't the boy's parents so it's up to her to decide if he brings him or not. It wasn't his answer that would decide the boy's future, If Summer decided against it he will drop it, But, if she decided to allow it then he will do everything in his power to support them from the shadows. Summer looked at her son and saw his eyes practically on the verge of bursting,

Sighing Summer pats the head of Sapphire, "But before we go Travel outside, I want you to learn about the different places of Remnant, Create your weapon, as well as prepare the necessary supplies we need on the Travel." She said seriously, Sapphire smiled at her mother and nodded.

He then leaves Summer and Ozpin alone as he goes prepare for the trip. The mood in the room then became tense as Summer stared seriously at Ozpin, "Are you certain that Salem may make a move against me on the trip?" Ozpin nodded.

"Then why are you allowing Sapphire to accompany me even when you know that it will be dangerous?!" She yelled but controlled her voice so that only those in the room can hear it, "It is because of Young Sapphire that I saw a bit of fluctuation on your fate thread so there is a chance that you will make it out alive with him by your side"

"But at what cost Ozpin? Can't I just stay here at Patch? it is safer right!?" She asked, Ozpin shook his head and said with a monotone voice, "If you do stay here... Your family isn't the only one that will be affected, others as well so you have no other choice but to go. Qrow can't do it because of his Semblance, Taiyang can't as well."

"But It's only a tiny chance isn't it Ozpin?! I'm not letting this minuscule chance in danger my son," Summer said, she quickly stormed off the room but not before hearing Ozpin say, "But it is because of that chance I am willing to risk it"

Summer was angry right now, Ozpin wanted to sacrifice her son just for a chance that she will survive. She didn't know what to do; she arrived at her son's bedroom and saw him study the places all over Remnant with his full concentration. Summer sadly walked away not letting her son see, she got inside her room and laid on the bed covering her eyes with her arm, "Let's hope that we can achieve that minuscule chance Ozpin..." She then drifts off to sleep.

Taiyang who was outside the house was listening to their conversation from the start till the end. He didn't know what to think other than worry, He got up from his chair and walked to Sapphire's room, He knocked on the wide-open door to get the attention of his son.

"Hey, there champ, what are you doing?" He said with a forced smile, Sapphire replied with a smile of his own, "I'm cramming dad, mom said I necessary to study before I could accompany her to her expedition" Taiyang nodded, he saw his son's determined eyes as he read, it seems that Sapphire had already decided to accompany his mother.

"Sapphire come with me, we are going to build your weapon," Taiyang said, Sapphire closed his book before following behind his father. He led Sapphire to the forgery and saw materials already prepared.

"I'm not going to help you come up with a weapon, but, I can help you with the welding and casting," Taiyang said, Sapphire walked to the table and took a blank blueprint under the table, and thought of what he wants to build.

'How about making Crescent Rose, a little tweaks to the design as well as functions would do.' He then started sketching the weapon until he completed it, he changed some of its functions as he gave the blueprint to his father.

Taiyang looked at the sketch his son made and hummed, It design-wise it was beautiful but the functionality could use some work but this was an amazing design for a four-year-old. He erases some things in the blueprint and corrected some parts before nodding in satisfaction, "Alright let's get to making this thing, If you have anything more to add to your weapon let me know ahead of time. I don't want to start over from the top, do you understand Sapphire?"

"Yes Dad" Sapphire responded with a smile.
