RWBY: Survival

Summer rushed to Sapphire and threw a punch aiming for his head, albeit stunned by his mother's speed he was still able to cross his two arms and blocked her punch. He skids away before stopping 10 feet away from his mother, Summer didn't allow him to recover as she appears behind Sapphire and sent out a kick to his back.

Not able to defend he flew away and tumbled down on the ground, coughing he got up and raised his two hands, "Again" He said, this time he was the one who attacked. He threw a punch at his mother who blocked it and swept her leg to knock Sapphire off-balance, "You're wide open Sapphire, You have to surprise the enemy." She said as she once again swept her leg, this time Sapphire backflipped and distanced himself from Summer,

'I got to think of a way to land a hit, Mom doesn't have any obvious open-' Summer noticing that he paused ran and threw a punch to the stomach, "Don't stand still! you will become an easy target for people"

Air left his lungs as he was sent flying again he positioned himself to minimize the damage on his body, he landed with a thud but he quickly got up and rolled to the side, and sprinted towards Summer. Expecting Sapphire to throw another punch she positioned herself to execute an armlock.

Sapphire threw a punch just like what Summer thought, "Like I said, Don't make your movements readable!" Summer grabbed his arm and was about to perform an armlock when Sapphire suddenly kicked her on her knees breaking her balance.

As they fell Sapphire slithered behind Summer as he strangled Summer, "Surprise the enemy, at least I learned that very quickly" He smiled and let go of Summer. They got up and pat the dust off their clothes, "Well, I think it's time for round 2, learn from your mistakes Sapphire" he ġrȯȧnėd as he hasn't been able to rest but stood up anyway, he got into his stance and sparred with his mom.

[Unnamed Forest - Menagerie - 2:12 PM]

At first, it was mainly Sapphire getting thrown around by Summer but slowly he was able to go thirty minutes in the spar before getting hit by an unpredictable attack. They only stopped when Sapphire's Aura broke and on the verge of passing out.

"And that's seventy-two wins for me," Summer said as she stared at the immobile and tired Sapphire on the ground, "You're getting a lot better than the first thirty rounds, If you keep this up by a year or so I might be the one defending instead of attacking," She said

"Thank you for the praise mom but can you please pick me up, my body is currently in so much pain that I am unable to move," Sapphire hoarsely said, he forgot to drink water between spars making his voice scratchy. Summer then picked him up and carried him in her shoulder, "You sound smarter when you say it like that," She said with a hum.

'I am a smart mom!' He internally screamed as Summer walked home, passing by some Faunus who looked at the two different colored cloaked humans with curiosity they finally arrived home, "We're Back!!" Blake having heard Summer announce their arrival opened the door.

She gazed directly locked on Sapphire, "Welcome back, Auntie what happened to Sapphire," She asked, Summer laid Sapphire on the couch, "Oh he is just tired from training, isn't that right Sapphire?" She said

"Pain" Sapphire muttered but Blake having enhanced hearing heard him, concerned Blake looked at his arms and saw some bruises, she pokes on the bruises to see if she could get a reaction, "Ow" And a reaction she got, with a frown, Blake ran upstairs to grab something. Summer then watched as Blake came down with a bottle that seemed to be medicine and applied it to Sapphire. Although Sapphire was groaning every time she touched him, he didn't stop her. He knows that Blake meant well with what she was applying to his body.

'Ah, I've been forgotten' thought Summer as she watched the scene in front of her play out, not a minute later Kali entered. She was about to announce her arrival when Summer appeared behind her and covered her mouth, "Shh, you're going to interrupt them" she said as she pointed with her eyes towards the children.

Kali looked at where Summer was staring and saw Blake apply some medicine to Sapphire, surprised she pointed at the kids and looked at Summer with a stupified expression. Summer nodded as she and Kali snuck away but not before leaving their scrolls to record this moment.

[Blake's House - Menagerie - 3: 48 PM]

Sapphire after being left to lay on the sofa had drifted off to sleep, Groaning as he slowly wakes noticed that he was laying onto something soft. Thinking it was a pillow buried his face onto it, He was about to go back to sleep when he felt someone stroke his head softly.

Opening his eyes he met with Blake's eyes, didn't mind him awake Blake continued to stroke his head, "GAH!!" Realizing he slept on Blake's ŀȧp, he shot off and stood up, "Uhh Blake? why was I sleeping on your ŀȧp?" He questioned

"You fell asleep in the middle of my treatment, after that you held on my hand tightly and didn't budge when I tried to take it away.. So the only thing I could do was let you sleep on my ŀȧp" Blake explained as she smiled teasingly, "You even called them soft in your sleep," Embarrassed Sapphire apologized and ran away with a blush, Blake followed soon after as they left to meet their parents.
