RWBY: Survival

{A/N: This Chapter is basically nonsense you can skip if you like}

"Okay your Aura is unlocked, We will begin Aura control training tomorrow. After that hand-to-hand combat okay?" Summer said, Sapphire nodded as he felt his body get more durable and filled with power.

"Since you agreed, you can go outside and try to control even just a tiny bit of your Aura," She said, Sapphire then ran outside and went to a nearby forest. He stopped just outside of the forest before taking out Midnight Edge.

He focused his mind on willing his Aura to cover his weapon, as he was doing so he noticed that his Aura didn't move at all and sighed, ' Of course, It's never going to be easy' Sitting on the grass he let his Aura out and saw that it is bigger than his Mother's Aura.

He took a fallen leaf beside him and practiced his control on his Aura by willing his Aura to cover the leaf. At first, it didn't move at all, but, half an hour later he was able to get his Aura to cover at least 1/8 of the leaf.

At first, he thought that willing his Aura to move around the edges of the leaf was the most effective and efficient way to coat it but it seems that it wasn't the case, when he had done so he felt his Aura reserves plummet which shouldn't be the case as it was still connected to him.

That confused him, Sapphire tried recalling the Aura back to his body but noticed that nothing actually returned. Thinking that his way of controlling is wrong he tried different ways of willing it, He made his output of Aura smaller, Compressed it, and slowly increasing the size of the output.

Nothing worked until he got the idea of turning it into tiny threads, He made a thread by separating a small amount of Aura and connected it to the leaf. He noticed that his Aura didn't plummet so he slowly increased the number of threads he connected to the leaf.

Delighted he continued to practice until Summer called for him to come back, he sighed, for 2 hours straight he tried to will his Aura to cover more of the leaf and had noticeable success, now he can coat the leaf 3/8 of the whole thing.

'I'll continue this tomorrow for now I'll sleep' Yawning he walked home not noticing a bull faunus looking at him with interest. He arrived back at Blake's house and flopped on the sofa.

Summer noticed this and giggled, "Tired from training?" She asked, Sapphire, ġrȯȧnėd in response, "That's normal, Aura control isn't easy you know. It's also very taxing on the mind so please be careful" She said.

Sapphire who is mentally exhausted finally gave in and slept, His light snores filled the living room. Summer sighed and picked him up from the sofa and into their rooms, "Good night my baby boy" She kissed his head and went to sleep as well.

[Blake's Home - Menagerie - 7:30 AM]

"Wake up Sapphire" Said Blake as she shakes her friend awake, Sapphire ġrȯȧnėd and covered his head with his blanket, "5 more minutes.." He muttered, Blake heard him causing her to shake him more, "Auntie Summer said to wake you up, You have to train today remember?" She said, giving up Sapphire slowly got up and rubbed his eyes with a yawn. He walked towards the living room with his eyes dropping every step.

Arriving in the living room, he saw his mother and Kali in the kitchen making dinner for them, "Morning Mom, Auntie Kali, Uncle Ghira" He said, Ghira who was looking at the reports that his subordinates compiled glanced at him.

"Morning brat," He said, Kali greeted him back before grabbing the plates and arranging them at the table. Summer then comes out with the food and set it down on the table, "Breakfast is ready!"

As they ate at the dining table Summer asked Sapphire how his training went, "I managed to coat a leaf with 3/8 of my Aura, but, It took me 3 hours to do and took too much of my mental energy" He responded.

Summer then nodded, "That's good, after breakfast, we will go outside and start your training on close combat, after that you will train on wielding your scythe." She said. Sapphire nodded and continued eating.

Blake listened to their conversation and pulled on her mother's clothes, "Mama, I want to unlock my Aura and train as well" She said, Kali looked at Blake and smiled, "Is that so? Ghira, what do you think?" She asked Ghira who sighed.

"Fine, It's better to train them early on than later," He said, they all silently enjoyed their food. Finished with eating Summer and Sapphire went out to the forest while Killing Grimm on the way.

Arriving at a clearing inside the forest Summer then stops and smiles and Sapphire, "Okay Sapphire, in my version of training you on close combat is through combat" she said with a grin.

"I will have to fight you, mom?" Sapphire asked, Summer nodded as she went into her stance, "Of course it's much easier to learn when your fighting someone with combat experience" she said.

Knowing that his mother won't take a no for an answer he got into a stance and nervously watched his mother, "Then... Let's Begin!!" Summer shouted
