Chapter 36 - 036 - The Second World

A few days passed and Tommy was forced to return home.

He was mere hours away from being transported and I wanted him to be prepared for whatever would happen.

I also created another beacon for him and even created something new that would help him on his journey, a Spatial Inventory with only me and him being able to access it.

And as a bonus, his spatial inventory is outside of time meaning whatever he puts in there won't age or spoil but will remain the same as when something was put in.

How much did this cost me you may ask? More than I was expecting...cough, 500 Divine Energy...

But it was worth it because if Tommy finds anything weird in his travels he can just notify me and put it in his inventory for me to inspect.

With just a few more minutes left until transportation, I examined Tommy and the changes that he underwent in Skyrim.

He was covered in nordic tattoos that went over all of his body and he also had a few new scars.

He wore enchanted heavy steel-plated armor while at his side was a sheathed enchanted Orcish War Axe.

He has gained lots of battle experience in Skyrim and no longer flinches when killing since Skyrim has countless dangers, whether they be the animals, bandits, and of course, the Dragons.

I wished him luck and he just poofed and disappeared.

...

[Tommy's POV]

Upon opening my eyes I found myself in some kind of abandoned futuristic city.

What happened to this place?

It appears to be alternate earth, but what happened here? Where are all the humans?

I soon pulled out the beacon and impaled it into the ground.

Once the beacon was fully formed Zephyr appeared in his human form and looked around with confusion.

He closed his eyes and opened them after a few moments.

"Earth?" Zephyr questioned with a confused expression.

"Can you send me back to Skyrim?" I asked.

"Sure thing, have fun!" He told me before sending me back to Skyrim.

...

[MC's POV]

After using some powers I scanned the whole planet for life and found nothing but wildlife.

Humanity is gone, long gone since plantlife has had the time to grow this much...

But what worries me the most is, how? Or more accurately, Why has humanity disappeared?

This worried me because seeing how advanced Humanity was on the planet, I do not believe they could have gone down without a fight...

But I don't see signs of battle, panic, or anything of similar nature.

It was as if humanity just disappeared, each and every human was gone within in an instant, leaving nothing, not even their skeletons...

I gazed towards the overgrown city and flew over.

Once I neared I was surprised by how advanced humans were on this planet, everything seemed to be dozens of years if not a century or two ahead of Earth!

I flew through the streets looking at all the futuristic things around and even stored a few cars into my dimension so I could study them later.

I flew around the whole city until I eventually found some kind of power station.

When I entered and looked for the powerlines I was surprised by how simple it looked and found that the console was hooked up to two strange cylinder containers that were inserted underneath the console.

I flipped the power switch for the city and found that a burst of light came from the city which caused me to close my eyes.

Once I opened them I found that the entire city was bright and colorful with all those strange glass billboards and signs being lit up with advertisements.

I looked at the two containers underneath the console and couldn't help but think, 'These two small things are powering an entire city?'

What the hell even are these?

I examined them and I figured that they must be some kind of futuristic batteries.

I soon left the power station and flew through the streets of the city looking at all the lights and advertisements that hung on the side of buildings.

To my surprise, everything was in English.

I didn't know if they spoke some other kind of language than English, but I didn't mind since English is the only language I know.

I wandered through the streets looking for anything of importance and just as soon as I thought that I appeared to have found some kind of Government office.

Meanwhile, my action of powering up the city awoke something deep underground within a military facility...

The unknown entity was soon looking upon the entity in question that managed to power the entire city with clear surprise.
