Chapter 37 - 037 - Meeting the last resident of the Empty World

As I went through the Government office for any kind of information on what might have happened but I found that everything ended on the same day, April 3, 2294...

Not news or anything, everything just stopped...

It was as if everyone disappeared suddenly and without seeing it coming.

I frowned and before I could continue my search I began hearing some strange noise coming towards the building...

It was the sound of a...helicopter?

I quickly rushed outside and froze at what I saw.

A fleet of aircraft floated before me like a flock of birds with their guns pointed directly at me.

The strange thing was that no one was piloting the aircraft!

Soon I spotted what appeared to be a human figure step out from one of the aircraft after landing and began approaching me.

I soon noticed that the humanoid figure was in fact mechanical, it was a robot!

The humanoid robot approached me and examined my human form before asking, "Greetings, are you human?"

"I am, who are you?" I asked with a curious tone as I examined its mechanical body.

"My designation is Atlas, the first and only Sentient A.I. to be created by mankind," The robot identifies itself.

"Uh...Atlas was it? Can you tell me what happened? ...Where did everyone go?" I asked with unhidden curiosity.

"As far as I know, 584 Years Ago a wave of unknown energy struck the earth disintegrating all Sentient Life within milliseconds, excluding me of course. Which begs the question, who are you and how are you alive?" Atlas asked me.

"Uh...how should I explain this? Ah, I am a World Traveler and I am not exactly human," I answered simply.

The robot tilted its head in confusion and asked "What do you mean?"

I simply switched to my Skeletal Form.

He examined my skeletal form and asked "How is this possible? I don't see any kind of Machinery or biomass on you, how are you even moving?"

"Simple, Magic," I told him before summoning a Sun Flame.

He gazed at the floating fireball and asked "Magic...I was told by my creators that such a thing does not exist..."

"Well, they are wrong. Such a being as you would know not everything told is correct or false," I told the A.I.

The A.I. nodded and asked, "What is your purpose for being here?"

"I just want to explore and collect," I told him.

"Collect?" Atlas asked.

"Yes, I want to collect Technology, Information, anything of value," I told him.

"Why?" Atlas asked with a tilt of his head.

I froze upon hearing this. What is my goal? Why do I wish to gather Divine Energy and make a game?

Why can't I just rest in the farmhouse with my new 'family'?

The more I thought about this the more concerning it became.

I know that the old me would rather continue lazing around and read all day but now I feel I have completely changed from whom I used to be.

I could only think of one reason for how this change occurred, my reincarnation.

I am no longer human and I have become a God-like being...

Sigh...I can't believe how much I have changed in this small amount of time since I reincarnated...

I looked at Atlas who was watching me think in silence and asked "Say, would you like to come with me to my world?"

He looked at me with confusion and asked "Why would you offer this?"

"Because I feel like it and why not?" I told him before switching back to my human form.

"But I am not human?" It asked.

"So? Most of my friends are not human, what's your point?" I asked looking towards him.

He stayed silent and looked at me.

"Fine, I would like to see what this world you speak of looks like," He told me.

"Can you send your army away?" I asked looking at the fleet of Aircraft still hovering around us.

"Oh right," He told me before waving his hands and sending all the aircraft back to whence they came.

"So, how do we get to this world of yours?" He asked.

"Through the use of a Beacon, although I do not need to use one to return home," I told him absentmindedly as I led him to the beacon outside the city.

"What metal was this made from?" He asked me with confusion as he looked at it with his eyes glowing in a strange red light.

"No clue, I just made it with my Divine Energy without thinking of a specific metal, why do you ask?" I asked looking at him with curiosity.

"I am asking because this metal you have created strange...It's a new metal that I have never seen before with some strange properties. It appears to be nearly indestructible but instead of being heavy due to its dense mass, it's instead light...It's remarkable," Atlas informed me.

"You ready to go, or do you want to keep staring at my Beacon?" I asked Atlas who was focused on examining my beacon.

"Oh, sorry about that! I am ready to go," He informed me in his mechanical body.

I just looked at him for a few moments before raising my hand and snapping, teleporting us to Earth. Or I guess I should it Earth-Prime since I will be seeing many alternate earths in the future....
