Chapter 46 - 046 - Watching Noble Team kick some alien ***

[Woops. accidently uploaded this first, well no matter, I fixed it before many could even get the chance to read it]

Using illusion magic I cast Muffle and invisibility before teleporting to the Military Camp and stalked...𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦π˜₯ them onto the Falicon and watched as they re-briefed about the mission during the flight.

Feeling slightly bored I totally did not start messing with them mid-flight.

Like I totally did not turn on all of their night vision while the sun was shining bright up in the sky blinding them.

"What the hell?!" shouted Noble Four, Emile, whose helmet had an etched skull on the visor.

"God damn it, what was that?!" Noble Three, Jun, the sniper of Noble Team asked.

"I don't know, something must have happened to our helmets, everyone check to see if everything is still in working order," Noble Two, Kat, the only woman on the Noble Team responded.

While everyone started checking their helmets I slightly chuckled causing Noble Team to look up.

"Did...anyone else hear that?" Noble One, Carter, the captain of Noble Team asked.

Upon seeing the nod in response I couldn't help but mentally curse 'Fuck...'.

They immediately pulled out their weapons and began looking for an Invisible Enemy riding with them.

Having no choice if I didn't want to be caught, I leaped out the Falcon causing it to slightly rock.

"Shit, it jumped!" Shouted Noble Six, the enigma of the team.

As I flew by the aircraft I listened in on their conversation.

"What was that?!" Shotued Jun.

"It must have been some kind of new cloaking technology!" Shouted Kat.

'Well shit, I kinda fuΔ‹kΔ—d up...' I commented in my mind.

'Well, I guess I will have to be more careful while I stalk...ahem, 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦π˜₯ them.'

As they sat in the Falcon tense for the whole ride I just watched and observed them in silence while I followed alongside them.

Soon they were dropped off and began investigating the disappearance of some UNSC men in the area.

They found a blown-up Warthog that was still on fire and decided to go check out the buildings nearby.

Once they met with the locals the more they found the situation strange.

The citizens said they were 'hiding' from the 'monsters'.

Of course, Noble Team found this strange and asked where they last saw the missing UNSC men and the 'monsters' they were fighting.

I mean I wouldn't either if I found the missing UNSC men dead in a room with plasma burns on the walls.

"Shit..." Carter cursed.

"You think the covenant did this?" Noble Five, Jorge the heavy weapons specialist with the humane personality asked Kat, the technology and information specialist.

"What else can it be? Look at the Plasma Burns on the wall, that's only done by the Covenant's Weapons..." Kat explained.

"Which begs the question, how and why are the covenant here on Reach?" Jun asked.

"Doesn't matter, we need to report this to command now, if the Covenant are on reach then...we have a big problem..." Carter replied with a grim tone.

"Agreed..." The other noble team members responded.

Suddenly what sounded like the screech of a bird came from outside and a small ball of green plasma flew by Noble Six's head.

"Get down!" Shouted Carter as he fired out the window towards a humanoid bird that I identified as a Kig-Yar, the Kig-Yar in the Covenant act as the Marksmen and Scouts due to their high dexterity and excellent vision.

I wonder, how damage could this weapon do to something like one of my Living Armor Guards?

As Noble Team returned fire against the dozen Kig-Yar and slowly exited the house pushing the creatures back they noticed a strange ship coming from the distance before dropping off more enemies.

I watched as Noble Team expertly fired at these new enemies instantly killing the small Ungoy, which are the cannon fodder of the Covenant.

Commanding the Ungoy is the Sangheili, a race of warriors that follow a code of honor. They wore full body armor with energy shields that protected them from the incoming bullets.

Some of them held Plasma Pistols, while the rest used Storm Rifles which shot out many Plasma projectiles at Noble Team.

But with shields of their own Noble Team could tank some of the Plasma rounds as they fired back.

I watched with interest as every time Noble Six fired his gun an enemy dropped to the ground dead.

In minutes he slew more than 20 of the enemies with the remaining being killed by the rest of Noble Team.

Watching with interest I watched as Noble team rushed over to a vehicle after hearing an emergency radio transmission from some UNSC Soldiers nearby.

Seeing this I wondered if I should follow them, in the end, I shrugged and thought 'Why the hell not?'
