Chapter 56 - 056 - A 'Relaxing' Day

[Next two chapters will be Wednesday since I want to write a few chapters for my novel this weekend]

Awakening the next morning I let out a satisfied yawn as I got out of bed.

Man, how long have I been asleep? I feel great!

Looking at my phone I found that I slept for a total of 29 hours!

Feeling so refreshed I soon left my room and headed down to the living room, where I found Atlas and Cthulhu chilling on the couch and watching a movie.

Specifically the Terminator series of movies.

"Uh...Cthulhu, you do realize you shouldn't be showing these kinds of things to Atlas right?" I asked Cthulhu with a twitching smile.

"Oh, Zephyr? When did you get back?" Cthulhu asked, avoiding my question.

"Yesterday, now stop avoiding my question," I told him.

"Fine, it was mostly his decision, he wanted to know why we don't have a good opinion on an A.I. like himself," he explained.

"So let me get this straight, he wanted to know why we have a bad opinion on his kind, so you decided to show him a movie that could very well influence him into becoming the next Skynet?!" I shouted.

"Correction, although I may be an AI, it does not mean I have the personality of a machine, my personality was based on a human, I have my own morals and beliefs in what is right and what clearly isn't," Atlas explained.

"Oh, what a relief," I comment releasing a sigh of relief.

"Why? Were you worried that I would get 'Corrupted' from seeing this 'Terminator' movie?" Atlas asked.

"Well, of course, I've already dealt with an AI that was focused and determined to end humanity, and I would rather not have to deal with another situation like that again since It's annoying," I explained.

"Annoying?" Atlas asked.

"Yes annoying," I told him, not going any further into the conversation.

"So how have the games been treating you?" I asked Cthulhu.

"Oh, I'm stuck on a game called 'Dark Souls' and cant pass a boss," He informed me.

"Oh...well good luck," I chucked knowing his pain.

"Anyways, since I have a few days off to relax I was thinking we could all pay the foundation a visit and free some of the SCPs?" I asked.

"Oh, I think I will pass..." Cthulhu replied.

"Your choice, and you Atlas?" I asked.

"I will stay here," Atlas replied.

"Well, okay. I will be back in a few more hours, hopefully with a few more friends," I tell the two.

"Good luck!" Cthulhu shouted as I teleported outside the house.

Using my senses I found that the Foundation still had an outpost stationed outside my barrier with more than 100 personnel keeping watch and trying to find ways to get past my barrier.

Feeling slightly annoyed, I ignored them, but not before silently connecting to the Foundation's network, which allowed me to learn the location of all their 'public' and 'classified' facilities!

With a site in mind, I teleported away from the house and to a Foundation Site located within northern Canada.

The foundation must really love remote and isolated places, because the closest piece of civilization to this Site was more than a couple hundred miles away...

Activating my invisibility I just strolled on through the gate and into the compound.

With no alarms or anything going off I ȧssume that they still have not developed any kind of technology to trace me when I am invisible.

As I walked through the facility I soon found a door that interested me greatly.

[SCP-1867]

If I remember correctly the Neon Slug says it 'IS' human and that its an explorer and collector that has done quite a few amount of feats in the 19th century?

He claimed that he visited countless places across the word and has seen and documented countless unknown species.

And what interested me the most of all was that...Lord Blackwood, is knowledgable in Geography, Zoology, Botany, Archealogy, Anthropology, Linguistics, Obscure Mythology, Mysticisim and Cryptozoology.

I mean just look at that list! How can such a man exist?!

Oh sorry, a Neon Slug exist.

And the strangest thing of all that I remember about this SCP was that when the foundation asked for proof, he led them to his old cottage where they found a hidden treasure trove of knowledge and an old witness of the so called Lord Blackwood!

I cannot wait to meet him!

I wonder if I can hire him to explore some of the other worlds for me?

Well then, why wait? Let's go meet him!
