Xie Eun, who had exhausted herself, finally fell asleep in the safe haven of her husband's arms. You Seok continued to sit there with her on his lap as he rearranged the events that happened over this time from her point of view...Getting close to her really had given him a new perspective...and cleared a few misunderstandings he had about her..As he had seen her traverse through life, musdling things here and there,he had realised that General Xie had been right in worrying for her.She was really clueless and innocent like a new born lamb..but now he knew..she was not clueless..just viewing the world through rose coloured glasses..She seemed to believe that if she kept her eyes closed to faults in people then those faults would go away...And the only person she seemed to believe in was Su Jing..For the rest of her newly acquired family, she only pretended to be clueless...

Xie Eun stared at the screen of her phone as she wondered if she should call him.Si Jing was her friend and she wanted to tell him about this farce of a marriage but she was not too sure of his reaction...Her own feeling for him were too susceptible and she had just started to believe he liked her in return. She could feel the way his eyes followed her. He had even hinted to the fact that he would give her a surprise once she turned eighteen and he returned from the overseas business trip and come to visit her... He should have returned to the xountry by now..She could call him on the pretext of asking after his health.Her thumb caressed over his name and she decided to call him..She heard the phone ring and almost lost her courage but shaking her head, she decided to be brave..However,before the phone could be answered, Aunt Su had rushed inside shouting,"Eun-a come fast...we need to take master to the hospital..He is having difficulty breathing..Jumping up from her bed, Xie Eun had raced down the stairs and together they ran to take her father to the hospital but even by then it was too late....Her father had already breathed his last.

A few hours later, Xie Eun had stood in shock as she waited for the neighbors who were there to leave..Her father had already made the funeral arrangements and they did not need to do anything..The neighbors were worried about her and dared to ask Aunt Su of the girl could manage..The people in the village had seen her grow and we're willing to stay by her side for a little while if the need be..Aunt Su tried to explain that her master had already made arrangements for someone but before she could elaborate, a tall young man had walked in and looking around found Xie Eun taking her straight into his arms...Everyone had been shocked and then come to their own conclusion that this was the arrangement that the General had made and left the home with a peace of mind that the little girl was well cared for..The next morning everyone who came to visit knew that the rumor that General Xie had left Xie Eun in the care of a man. Si Jing also shamefully sealed himself to her firmly when he stood by her in place of family and greeted the mourners...Aunt Su had wanted to protest the impropriety but did not want to turn her master's funeral into a drama...Si Jing may have no sense of shame but she did..And Xie Eun could not be expected to be thinking rationally at such a time..

When Aunt Su had seen Yu Seok standing among the people who had come to pay their respects, she cast an apologetic glance to him and explained the matters..Wolf who had become aware of the man's presence in Xie Eun's heart too had not said anything and kept his silence out of respect for General Xie...

But his eyes had narrowed dangerously whenever he heard someone refer to Si Jing as Xie Eun'a fiance.....
