Shield Hero With Barrier Magic

(Hiro's POV)

Rose: "Hiro-sama, you should have at least signaled me that you will be staying back in the mountain yesterday, degozaru."

Hiro: "Well, sorry Rose. The situation demanded it."

Rose didn't come to the mountain due to my orders. It's a good thing though. I mean, it's not a good thing if Queen found out that I am ready with a plan to sacrifice 2/3 of the world's population, right? Even Thanos just took 1/2 of the population. Hmm... Does that mean I am worse than Thanos? Whatever, it's not like that would really take place. As long as I have my magic, I won't go for that plan. But if for some reason I lost them, I will unleash Ouryuu onto the world.

Rose: "Could Hiro-sama explain what happened till now, degozaru."

Hiro: "Alright, get in the carriage, I will explain on the way and I want you to meet someone too."

Rose: "Is that fine, degozaru?"

Hiro: "Don't worry, no one goes through this mountain route."

Rose follows our carriage but she rarely travels in our carriage. She can't risk people find out that Shield Hero is with a shadow. I told her that she can travel in disguise like a traveler. But she still refuses since she can't risk Shield Hero to be found with a stranger girl every time.

So she rarely stays in the carriage. But this time, I convinced her to get in and I explained everything that happened on the mountain except the individual conversation between Gaelion and me.

Rose: "So, Hiro-sama went to the mountain and seduced the daughters of the dragon and added them to his harem and shifted them to Riyute, degozaru."

Hiro: "How the hell did you come to that conclusion?"

Eclair: "Well, it's the truth, isn't it?"

Hiro: "Hey, I won't deny that they were attracted to me but I never did it intentionally!"

Raphtalia: "The fact that you don't intentionally try to pick on girls... I mean, females because you want to respect your love towards Mommy makes you more charming, Daddy!"

The way you corrected 'girls' into 'females' bothers me a bit, Raphtalia. Anyway, we went to the top of the mountain where Gaelion is waiting for us.

Rose: "So, you are the dragon whose daughters were seduced by Hiro-sama, degozaru."

Gaelion: "Mind your words, woman! They weren't seduced! They were... They were just attracted to him because he's a new thing! He will never be able to take them from me!"

Gaelion, from the way you said it, it sounded like you are denying the truth rather than denying Rose. And here I thought we were buddies.

Rino: "Stay strong, Gaelion. Stay strong. You can't live in delusions. You have to be strong and accept the truth."

Hiro: "Is there no person here who is on my side?"

Filo: "Filo will be on your side, Papa! What game are we playing ?!"

Everyone gave Filo a complicated look. I am jealous of how my daughter can be carefree of what's happening around her.

Gaelion: "But Hiro, aren't you too much of a playboy? You picked up another girl in just this much short time."

Hiro: "Haha, very funny. Don't worry, Gaelion. She isn't another girl who loves me. Meet Rose, our family's invisible member. She's the bridge between us and the Queen of Melromarc."

Gaelion: "Why is she dressed up like that?"

Rose is currently in her shadow form. I explained Gaelion about her and that I brought her here since she has to report everything about me to the Queen.

Gaelion: "Huh? You are saying this girl stayed with you this much time and still didn't fall in love with you?"

Eclair: "That's why I like Rose. She is immune to Hiro."

Eclair said it like she's proud of Rose. What am I? A virus?

Rose: "Shadows aren't supposed to fall in love, degozaru. In fact, we don't even know what love is, degozaru."

Gaelion: "Haa... Humans are weird creatures. They are the race who can express themselves the most. And still, they want to create these humans who can't express themselves."

We teleported from there to Riyute along with Rose. The moment we went inside the cave, all of Gaelion's daughters including Wyndia ran towards him.

Gaelion: "My dear daughters!"

And before Gaelion could react, they ran past him and surrounded me.

Wyndia: "Hiro! You came back! Let's play!"

Wyndia said while pulling my hand. I can feel everyone's gaze towards me.

Filo: "Let's go! By the way, Filo already promised Papa that Filo will be on Papa's side."

Except for Filo, she concentrated on the game rather than the issue. And I am glad that you are looking after me in your own way, dear daughter.

Sakura: "Embrace it, Dad. You can't stop the inevitable."

Gaelion: "Uwaahhh! Hiro, you are an enemy to every father with a beautiful daughter!"

And Gaelion ran towards his lovers so that he could cry in their arms. I played with Wyndia and monsters along with my family. After that, we came out of the cave and started going to Riyute to explain the situation to the locals. And while on the way,

Hiro: "Eclair, why aren't you going Yandere this time?"

Normal Eclair would be emitting a lot of killing intent by now.

I played those words once again in my mind to see if I heard them right.

Hiro: "I mean I am happy that you think about me that way but I am not really stealing them from him."

Eclair: "Don't worry. You don't need to because of your problematic skill."

I don't know if she's praising me or mocking me. But I can say one thing. Gaelion brought this upon him himself.

Sakura: "So Beastiality approved?"

I can't believe you concluded this topic like this just because you are a monster too, Sakura.

Eclair: "Don't get too ahead of yourself. The permission is only towards Gaelion's daughters. Not any woman other than that."

But even if you did, all of them are monsters except Wyndia and Wyndia is still a child, Eclair. I sighed and gave up. I changed the topic.

Hiro: "I wonder if Ren revoked the guild registration by now."

Eclair: "*Sigh* I know that most of the villagers were bad but some might be good too, Hiro. And you still chose the method which will make the whole village suffer."

Hiro: "They might be good. But none of them said a thing when they know that those adventurers died due to other villagers' greed. Eclair, when a person dies, the one who should be accused of it is not just the person responsible for the death. The person who turns away his face from the dying person also holds the same responsibility."

That's what I always keep thinking. I am not a hypocrite. I accept that all the deaths which happened because I did nothing even though I could are my responsibility. I am standing above millions of lives and numbers will keep going up.

Eclair: "And don't let that way of thinking bother you."
