Shield Hero With Barrier Magic

(Hiro's POV)

We reached Riyute. The people welcomed me with a smile.

Villagers: "Hiro, I thought you were traveling."

Hiro: "Yeah but something came up."

I explained to them about how I gave that cave to the monsters. And asked them to not go into that area. They accepted easily as I guaranteed that the monsters won't attack the village.

Villagers: "We normally avoided that cave from the start."

The cave was filled with monsters from the first Wave before my entry. But after our arrival, we made it ours. The villagers just have to do what they did in the past. So, it was resolved easily. I told them to keep quiet about this to the outside world. They agreed because they lost their belief in the royal family after the incident with Bitch. I kept quiet about the treasure. It's better for that thing to stay hidden for now. In time, I will make Wyndia as the main contact between villagers and monsters. But that will take some time.

Anyway, after that, we went back to the cave to say goodbye to them.

Wyndia: "Hiro! You have to come and play with us every day!"

Umm... That might be a problem since we are traveling. I can only come here every now and then. I can already feel Gaelion staring at me to say 'No'. Before I could say anything, Eclair gave the answer.

Eclair: "Don't worry, He will come here whenever possible."

Wyndia: "Yay!"

Everyone looked at Eclair with a shocked expression. She is just smiling as nothing happened. Honestly, this side of Eclair scares me a little.

Gaelion: "Eclair, you traitor!"

And Gaelion ran into the cave crying. Well, it's his fault, to begin with.

Hiro: "Alright, let me have some man to man talk with him."

I went inside the cave to find Gaelion crouching in a corner and making low crying sounds. You know, it's really weird that the one doing this is a dragon that is extremely bigger than me.

Hiro: "Stop that crying, Gaelion. It's really weird."

Gaelion: "You are the main reason for this!"

Hiro: "Oh come on, if I didn't come into your life, there is a chance you won't even be alive by now."

He stopped crying after a while.

Gaelion: "But thanks, Hiro. What you said is true. I might have died if it weren't for you. I mean, I think I can get away from the Sword Hero. Even if I am on the losing side, I can retreat. But I think I would choose death. If I retreated, other monsters would be fine but Wyndia would have to confront the Hero. And even if I didn't retreat, after the Sword Hero killed me, the villagers will find Wyndia when they come looking for treasure. What a prediction, Gaelion. That's exactly what would have happened if I didn't come except Wyndia would be sold as a slave too along with your eggs.

Gaelion: "It pisses me off, Hiro. They are compensating for the adventurers I killed. How much time would it take for them to earn it, Hiro? A week? A month? But that won't be enough for endangering my family."

Hiro: "Relax, that was just the first round. They still have one round left which will make it really hard for them to recover. But that must wait for at least three days."

Gaelion: "Hahaha... I am angry with the villagers because they tried to hurt my family, Hiro. What do you have against that village that you are trying to make them suffer that much?"

Hiro: "Well, my family got really angry when they got to know that they got betrayed."

Gaelion: "That's it?"

Hiro: "Yep."

Gaelion: "Seriously?"

Hiro: "Yep."

Gaelion: "So, you will kill anyone who tries to betray your family."

Hiro: "I won't be angry if anyone tries to play with me. But if someone tries to play with my family, if they aren't useful, I will show them hell. My family, especially Eclair and Rino felt sympathetic to the villagers when they said their fake story. And for making my family feel sorry for their lies is their greatest sin."

Gaelion laughed after hearing me out.

Gaelion: "Hahaha... I am glad that you are my partner, Hiro."

I laughed along with him.

Gaelion: "Poor villagers, they won't even know who and why they will be going through all of that."

Well, that's also part of the plan.

Hiro: "Actually, Gaelion, can you give me one of your eggs made with a dragon?"

Immediately he glared at me.

Gaelion: "You robber! You already took my daughters but you are also aiming at my future daughters ?!!"

Hiro: "Hey, we can't say if the child will be male or female."

Gaelion: "Why do you want my children ?!"

And I also want another baby. The more, the merrier!

Gaelion thought for a while and gave up.

Gaelion and I went to where the eggs are. He's crying by the way. And it's really awkward.

He pointed to one of the eggs which is comparatively larger than others. It seems that this was from a female dragon that died after laying that egg.

Gaelion: "*Sniff* Take good care of her, Hiro."

This should generally be an emotional scene but given that this is a dragon crying, I can't say anything.

We went out of the cave to meet the rest.

Rino: "What's that egg, Hiro-sama?"

Hiro: "We got another baby. Gaelion gave his dragon egg for me to raise since we want to see if it will also get a human form."

Raphtalia: "So, Daddy took away another daughter from Gaelion."

Eclair: "Don't worry, Gaelion, we will take good care of your daughter."

Eclair said like she's giving her approval.

I can see the excitement in Filo's eyes.

Rose: "So, Hiro-sama is planning to seduce her from childhood, degozaru."

Gaelion: "Hiro, why are your girls that confident?"

Hiro: "I don't know. Anyway, I will see you tomorrow."

And with that, we teleported back to the mountains along with Rose.

Eclair: "Haa... That's one thing solved. Where to next?"

Hiro: "Riyute Village."

Rino: "We just came from there."

Hiro - "Yeah, I know. That's the best place to raise the dragon. But Filo left her carriage here. And I can't teleport carriage through my shield."

Filo - "Yay !! Thanks Papa !!"

Filo is possessive of her carriage.

Raphtalia - "So, back to Riyute huh."
