Shield Hero With Barrier Magic

(Rose's POV)

Hiro-sama teleported to the capital to buy an incubator and meet the old lady pervert and her servant. As usual, I have to stay in Riyute and wait for their return. This happened a lot of times till now. They always teleport somewhere and come back after a while. I have to ask Hiro-sama for everything that happened after that.

That Portal Shield is really problematic. With that shield, they just disappear and appear whenever they want. Of course, it's really a useful shield. Hiro-sama killed the whole troop of soldiers sent to kill him with the help of that shield.

Recently, thinking about that shield puts me in two different states. When I think about how others can teleport with Hiro-sama wherever he went to, I think my c.h.e.s.t tightens for some reason. It feels heavy. I want to be with them. I wished to be with them during teleportation from the start since it would be easy for my reports. But recently, I am starting to think that there is something else that makes me want to be with him.

But on the other hand, when I think how the portal shield is useful for Hiro-sama's safety and how I can be with Hiro-sama after he came back so that I can hear what happened till then, my body is filled with warmth instead.

Why is this happening? Should I consult a doctor? Or is this something related to human relations? I don't know.

It's evening. They still didn't come back. Of course, as ordered, I am resting in Hiro-sama's room. Normally, I have to stay on the roof or trees or other places suitable for hiding. It seems that he doesn't want me to stay outside and waste my energy. So, once he comes back, he can just tell me what happened till then. I don't know why but in Riyute, they stay in individual rooms.

Anyway, recently, I found some changes in my perception of Hiro-sama. I find Hiro-sama more handsome by the day. Did he change his style? I didn't really sense any change though. And I am having these thoughts of wanting to see him more and being together with him more frequently. But when I do either of those, my heart starts beating faster and my body gets warmer making me want to run away from him. Hmm... This is a weird syndrome. Why would I want to be with him when I try to run away the moment I am with him? My mind is playing some bad games with me.

It's already evening. They still didn't return or so I thought. I sensed a presence at the door. I immediately hid so that they won't find me. It would be bad if it's some other person. The door opened and Hiro-sama came in with the egg in an incubator. He closed the door and turned to where I was hiding.

Hiro: "You can stop hiding, Rose. It's just me."

I still can't understand how this person finds my presence that easily. I came out of my hiding position and took off my mask. Ah, it started. The rise in my heartbeat.

Rose: "Welcome back, degozaru."

Hiro: "Hey, Rose. did you take some rest?"

Rose: "I did, degozaru."

Hiro: "Rose, I can only tell if someone is lying if the other person knows what is truth and what is a lie. So, just for confirmation, what is your definition of rest?"

Rose: "Not doing work, degozaru."

Hiro: "So, did you sleep?"

Rose: "I didn't, degozaru."

Hiro: "Thought so. Rose, we left you here not because we can't take you to the capital with us, it's so that you can take some rest in the form of sleep. Your eyes are still deprived of sleep."

Well, that's true. I didn't have proper sleep since the incident at Mirso village. During my stay in Mirso village, I didn't sleep as I was waiting for Hiro-sama to return from the mountain. After that, we came back to Riyute through a night journey.

Hiro: "You understand that I ordered you to take rest in my room because you didn't have sleep, right?"

Rose: "We are trained to wake up once we sense other's presence in sleep but if someone other than you came to open the door, the time won't be sufficient for me to wake up and hide at the same time, degozaru."

Hiro: "*Sigh* I don't want to hear excuses. Your health is important Rose. How can you not understand such a simple thing?"

I can understand that he is scolding me but why is my body becoming more warm from that?

Hiro: "It's still early but you will be having dinner and sleep right after that in this room. I will be staying up all night as I have to take care of the egg anyway."

Rose: "But you still have to explain what happened in the capital, degozaru."

Hiro: "Haa... I will tell you when you are eating your dinner."

He went out and brought some food. He must have told them that he would eat it in his room. And he kept it before me ordering me to eat it. I started eating it

He sat beside me and started talking. But the moment he sat beside me, my heart rate increased a lot, and it became tough to concentrate on what he was saying. But I still managed to understand a bit. So, I spoke on the most crucial line out of the ones which I understood.

Rose: "Hiro-sama, you have to definitely take me to the church along with you."

Hiro: "Alright, now sleep. I won't leave until you sleep."

I lay down on the bed but for some reason, when I think about how Hiro-sama is looking at me, I couldn't get myself to sleep. This is strange. I have the ability to sleep and wake up whenever I want. Why is it not working? Ah, right... My heart's not calming down. I don't think I will be able to sleep. I just have to close my eyes and act for the time being.

Hiro: "I am sorry, Rose. But you need to sleep. So, forgive me for doing this."

I didn't understand but the next moment, I felt the side of my neck being pressed and I lost consciousness with that.
