Shield Hero With Barrier Magic

(Third Person POV)

Melty: "Welcome back, Rose. How were you?"

Rose: "I am fine, Melty-sama. I am grateful for your concern. Where is her Majesty? I need to report to her, degozaru."

Rose came back to report about Bitch's deeds.

Melty: "She's in that room. You can call her here but before that."

Melty's face turned red.

Melty: "Y... Your report doesn't have t... things like that time, right? You know..."

Rose: "You mean the report about Hiro-sama's and Eclair's s.e.x life, degozaru?"

Rose: "No. They stopped having s.e.x since they adopted a daughter, degozaru."

Melty seemed a little disappointed.

Melty: "I... I see... That's good then."

Rose: "If Melty-sama wishes, I can make and show you the report when I make one, degozaru."

'Like mother, like daughter' That's what Rose thought after that but she couldn't say it out loud. She went to the door of the room in which Mirellia is present and due to her good hearing, she can hear m.o.a.ns coming from there. Rose didn't care about it and knocked on the door twice.

And suddenly crashing and breaking sounds come from inside. And Mirellia opens the door after a moment. Rose got some weird smell from Mirellia and she can also see the part of her report which Mirellia tried to hide under the bed. Rose already knew that Mirellia masturbates from before the heroes were summoned. In fact, that is what made Rose more interested in relations and love. Mirellia is making sure that Melty doesn't find out and Melty's image of her mother doesn't crumble.

Mirellia: "Ah, Rose..."

Mirellia: "That's... That's another level of delusion. How did you find this out in the first place?"

Rose: "Spear hero happened to come to the same town as of Shield Hero and I was sent to keep an eye on them as Eclair wanted to kill a slave hunter in that town and can't go away from the town. And when I was observing them, Rino was sold to the same slave hunter that Eclair wanted to kill. We saved her and now, she is in Shield Hero's team as Hiro-sama's slave and she is willing to get revenge at the Spear team, degozaru."

Mirellia: "Alright, this became complicated. Rino definitely wants to kill Malty or even worse and the Shield Hero is carrying her with him."

Mirellia thought about what she would do when the situation came to her. Would she kill her daughter? Would she be able to evade that now that she went this far? Would the Shield Hero listen to her and convince this Rino?

Melty: "Mother..."

Melty looked at her mother worriedly. She understood what her mother was going through yet she couldn't do a single thing to help her. Mirellia decided to leave this worry for the future. Her job now is to prevent future victims. So, she has to find a way to prevent others from joining the Spear Hero's team or make them quit before they become victims. She summoned her shadows.

Mirellia: "I don't want any more victims like this in the future. So, you will be observing the Spear Hero like you are doing with the shield Hero. The Shield Hero is already tracking the other two heroes' movements. So, we don't need extra shadows there. Shift them here. And find out where the spear hero is going and remove girls that are attractive from that place if possible. If you couldn't do it, before Malty could do anything, you make that person quit, threaten if needed."

Mirellia thought of directly sending a warning letter but she could already guess that her daughter already knows the possibility of her being stalked and still decided to do it. So, it won't do any good. And also after knowing about the Spear hero, she thought it would be better if his party remained small. Mirellia sent the other shadows except for Rose away.

Mirellia: "Anything else you wish to report?"

Mirellia: "Now, this is starting to make me doubt her feelings. It makes me really doubt her 'love'. Can we be sure that she is not trying to make Shield Hero fall for her to help with her revenge? Keep an eye on her so that she doesn't do anything naive."

Rose: "But Hiro-sama looks convinced that Rino's love is real, degozaru. He admitted that he found her cute and Rino loves him but he doesn't love her, degozaru. So, that's not considered as cheating, degozaru."

Mirellia thought about it for a while. She realized that the person who put a test for the Queen won't fall for such petty tricks. She concluded that maybe this Rino girl's love is real and maybe her mind really broke for what she went through and it got healed by Hiro-sama. The only thing Mirellia didn't understand is.

Mirellia: "Why would he do all of that for this girl?"

Saving her makes sense to Mirellia but going as far as healing her mind. She didn't understand why this person who quit being a hero did that.

Rose: "And this brings me the main point of my report. It's about Hiro-sama's past. It seems that he was also once drunk on revenge in the past and a lot of innocents died because of him. He became alone and started to hate himself. After that when he was summoned, he decided to redo and fell in love with Eclair which seemed to help him and he finally stopped hating himself, degozaru. When he saw Rino, it reminded him of himself. So, he made her realize that she can have her revenge but it shouldn't be everything."

Mirellia and Melty are now shocked more than the previous issues. They never thought that the one who they are willing to make a hero has such a dark past.

Melty: "And you are playing games with that person, Mother."

Mirellia: "I already expected for him to have some unique past for him but this is way beyond my expectation. anything else about his past?"

Melty: "What the hell did he do to gain a title like that? Mother, are you still going to make him a hero?"

Mirellia: "He's my only choice. The other three are playing in church's hands like puppets."

Melty: "But why did he reveal his past to us?"

Mirellia: "It's his way of telling me that he respects revenge and he is not going to stop Rino and might even help her to get her revenge."

Melty immediately widened her eyes.

Melty: "That means... Sister..."

Mirellia: "Saving her from death might be hard now."

If possible, Mirellia still wants her daughter to live. In the end, she is a mother after all. But unfortunately for her, the one who she was trying to save her daughter from is Hiro. Not just her daughter, she can't even save her husband from him.
