(Eclair's POV)

We are currently in a carriage going back to the capital. Hiro is sleeping on my l.a.p. Rino still didn't wake up from her shock and we carried her all the way. Raphtalia is sleeping beside Rino after she got tired. If Rino fainted just after seeing the bulge, I don't know what her reaction would be if she saw how big it really is. To be honest, I want to torture and kill her but I can't do it.

And I seriously want to kick her out of the party right now but unfortunately, she passed the test. She told me about breaking the promise before Hiro could and she didn't even flinch when I was about to slice off her head. Well, to be honest, I planned to stop before it touched her neck but it took time controlling my urge to kill. So, the sword cut her a little.

We need allies to fight the waves. It's not like Hiro can end all of this with a single snap, right? Even if he can, he won't do it unless someone he holds dear asks for it and I won't ask him to do it. If it was the past me, I would be feeling a bit sad and a sense of guilt if that happened. I don't know what changed me. Is it Hiro or Raphtalia or is it the cruelty of the world? I don't know when I started putting my happiness above others. I still feel sad but I stopped feeling guilty for the innocent lives all over the world. I started to accept the reality that I can't save everyone. So, I will just try to save what I could.

I looked at the face of my husband who is sleeping on my l.a.p like a cute baby. I smiled and started stroking his hair. It's all this person's fault. Why can't he stop with one girl? Why make me fall for him so hard that I become completely possessive of him?

I don't know if it's because of me stroking his hair but Hiro slowly opened his eyes.

Hiro: "Aren't you gonna sleep, my dear wife?"

Eclair: "I am not sleepy."

He got up from my l.a.p and sat beside me on the right and let my head rest on his c.h.e.s.t.

Eclair: "No. This is fine. I can hear your heartbeat. It's so pleasant. I love it."

Hiro: "Worried about Rino?"

Eclair: "Yeah, you got another one who truly loves you. Do you think you would fall for her?"

Hiro: "I don't know, Eclair. I agree I find her cute. The main condition for me to fall for someone is that they must truly love me and she satisfies that condition. I think all it needs is a spark."

That's right. He wants all the love he can get. And I want all the love he can give.

Eclair: "So, I have to make sure that the spark doesn't happen."

Hiro: "Well, I won't stop you but don't go hurting her like you almost did this morning."

Eclair: "Why didn't you stop me? I almost cut her down."

Hiro: "Because I trust you, Eclair."

Hiro: "Well, I was too distracted in perverted thoughts seeing you in that mode that I forgot to stop you."

(Current Hiro's thoughts: And the fatal wounds will be immediately stopped by the barrier I made. So, your sword would have stopped if it went a little deeper.)

I looked at him with a weird expression.

Eclair: "We can't let that fetish of yours become a distraction during serious times."

Hiro: "Well, what can I do? You were just too e.r.o.t.i.c. Man, thinking about it is making me hard again."

Don't say things like that ?!! You will make me horny again!

Hiro: "Maybe, we should listen to Raphtalia and go to the love hotel once we are back."

Eclair: "Yeah, I think so too."

We started kissing each other. After some time, we stopped kissing and I rested my head on his c.h.e.s.t again. I looked at Rino once again.

Hiro: "What do you mean? I am not stopping their advances, am I?"

Eclair: "But you aren't making any advances yourself. Rino fell for you because you healed her and you didn't do it with an intention to make her fall for you. And if you want true love, I am sure that there are a lot of good girls out there who can fall for you."

Hiro smiled at me.

Hiro: "Isn't that obvious? Even though I am a harem-seeking guy, I am also your husband, Eclair."

So, it was really because of me. I love him.

Hiro: "I want to respect your wishes as much as I could. So, I won't make advances on other girls. And also..."

He said after a pause.

Hiro: "I am a little bit afraid, Eclair. I am scared that you will start disliking me a little if I do things like that. And even the thought of you disliking me even a little bit, it... it terrifies me, Eclair."

He snuggled me closer.

True. Even though it annoys me a lot, I don't dislike his teasing and the other things he does.

Hiro: "That's why, Eclair, I know that you don't want but if you don't like me seeking a harem, just say it once and I won't make a harem and Mmmpphhhh!"

I immediately kissed him stopping him from saying anything else. Seriously, this guy... If he keeps saying things like that, I am afraid that even I would accept his harem plan. I broke the kiss after a while.

Eclair: "I don't dislike anything about you. I can't dislike anything about you, Hiro. You just make me fall for you more and more every single time."

This person makes me feel like I am the luckiest girl in the world.

Eclair: "You don't have to change, Hiro. Just be who you are. I like everything about you. Even your d.e.s.i.r.e to make a harem and how you try to respect my feelings even with that d.e.s.i.r.e. That's why let's just be true to our d.e.s.i.r.es, Hiro. You will keep seeking a harem and I will keep trying to make that not happen. Because I trust our relationship."

Hiro: "Our relationship is becoming more and more complicated, you know."

Eclair: "And what's wrong with that?"

Both of us smiled at each other. We kissed one last time before we went to sleep while I sat on his l.a.p and Hiro hugged me from the back.
