Shield Hero With Barrier Magic

(Author Note: A lot of people might have not noticed that I accidentally changed Eclair's name at the end of the last chapter. I can't understand if you didn't care or just forgot about her.

So, I am now doubtful if you guys know about her. Manga already introduced her but the anime didn't. She might make her appearance at the starting of the second season of anime. She is actually a supporting character in original but she is the main character here and the first harem member. So, I think you should know about her. So, I am going to give some basic info about her with a few spoilers in the original. You can even find about her and her pics if you just search for "Eclair Shield Hero" in Google. This info is going to be a long one and you can skip it if you know about her.

Anyway, Eclair has blue eyes and strawberry blond hair and she looks like a typical female knight.

Eclair Seaetto used to be a knight and she is the daughter of the queen's right-hand man, who also used to be the Lord of Raphtalia's homeland. Her father was killed by the church of three heroes during the wave as the queen is away from the country. Eclair doesn't know that and thinks he died in the wave. As the queen's right-hand man is dead, all the power went into the hands of Trash who used it to summon all the four heroes.

Eclair was stationed in the same land at the time of the First Wave, the same Wave where Raphtalia lost everything. After the Wave came to an end, the knights and the adventurers out there started hunting demi-humans and she punished them. For that reason, she was accused of having demi-human blood and that she is a brainwashed follower of the shield demon. So, she was stripped of her knighthood and thrown into the prison in the castle.

In the original, She was proclaimed innocent after the Queen came back. She hunted down all the slave-hunters responsible for her situation and brings them to justice when the heroes were at Cal Mira Island (The Final arc in the season one of anime.) So, I think she will be introduced at the starting of Season two.)

(Hiro's POV)

Erhard: I can't believe the King gave you this much money. What did you say to him?

Hiro: I said I am quitting from being a hero.

Erhard: Huh?

Eclair: Hiro-dono, could you please tell me what happened in the castle?

Hiro: They brought about twelve adventurers and made them choose the heroes they want to go with. No one chose me. So, I used that fact and the other heroes' knowledge to make me look useless. So, they were able to say nothing to my choice of quitting as I am 'useless'. So, I said that I want to live in the capital with basic training. The other heroes supported me that I should be given some money as I was brought here without my consent. And here they are 1000 silvers minus 50 coppers.

Eclair: What do you mean minus 50 coppers?

Hiro: Well, the 50 coppers are the cost of escaping here without being followed. I took a room in an inn and escaped from its window. They won't know that I am not there at least till a day.

Erhard: Hahahaha!! This generation shield hero is really a smart guy! I like you, Boy!

He pats me at the back.

Hiro: Thanks for the compliment. But yeah, escaping from them is a pain.

Eclair: Hiro-dono, I am asking you again. Are you sure you aren't a thief?

Hiro: Well, that just depends on the situation. I didn't like the eyes of people there, so I escaped. Your eyes weren't lying, so I helped you escape. I believe in my intuition more than anything.

Erhard: You have a good intuition.

Eclair: We have to make a plan of what to do from now.

Hiro: Well, I don't want to be found but even if I am found, it won't be a big problem. But you are a different case, Eclair.

Eclair: Of course, I am very well aware that I will be considered as a criminal from now on.

Eclair: I must hunt everyone responsible for me being imprisoned and bring them to justice. I must also find the victims of Wave in my father's land. I must get stronger to do all these.

Hiro: I need to first learn about this world and its language. I must also train to fight the Waves. I need your help in these, Eclair.

Eclair: Alright, I will train and teach you.

Erhard: I think I know one place where they won't search no matter what.

Eclair: What's that?

Erhard: A love hotel.

Eclair/Hiro: What ?!!

Erhard: They won't search a love hotel as only couples can stay there. They don't know that both of you are on the same side and they won't even be able to imagine it.

Hahaha... I am starting to like this guy.

Eclair: Y... You are saying t... that I have to be in the same room with t... this pervert!

Eclair started blushing and I can see tears at the corner of her eyes. Cute.

Hiro: Oi, who are you calling a pervert?

Hiro: That was just an accident!

Eclair: You defiled me! I can't get married anymore!

Hiro: Hey! Just because I saw you n.a.k.e.d, that doesn't mean I did everything to you! Although I must agree. That was an amazing sight.

And there was a sword coming to slash me. I immediately dodge it. I keep dodging her by running away and stopping the slashes with the shield.

Hiro: Oi! You will kill me! I am the Shield Hero, you know?

Eclair: Officially, you are not a hero anymore!

When we are doing that, Erhard coughs to interrupt us.

Erhard: Ahem. This is my shop. So, please refrain from violence.

Eclair stops after that. Erhard says while laughing.

Eclair becomes bright red due to that.

Eclair: Those details are unnecessary, Uncle Erhard!!

Erhard: Hahaha! Young people these days.

Eclair: Let's go back to the main topic!

Hiro: I also think a love hotel is a good choice.

In fact, it's an excellent choice. I get to sleep in the same room as Eclair after all.

Eclair: Urgh... I hate to admit but I agree. But, Hiro-dono, if you try anything funny.

She points her sword at me.

Eclair: I will personally punish you myself.

Erhard: Do you want recommendations, Hiro-boy?

Hiro: Yes.

Eclair: Hiro-dono!! Uncle Erhard!

Hiro: What? We must find a hotel with good food and the correct cost, right?

Erhard: Exactly. What were you thinking, Eclair?

Eclair: Ah... That... Stop teasing me!

Erhard/Hiro: Hahahaha...
