Shield Hero With Barrier Magic

(A day before the Wave.)

(Hiro's POV)

Currently, we are training in the forest.

At the corner of my field of view, the clock kept ticking. The Wave will hit tomorrow in the late morning. We are very well prepared for it.

Eclair is Level 43 and Raphtalia is Level 34 and Rino is at 30. While I am at 38. My growth rate is low compared to them as I don't do the killing.

Eclair and Raphtalia are good at swordsmanship, I have to use the shield and Rino handles the long-range magic and if needed, she will fight with the staff. Well, she has only four main air spells currently. The first one is air shot which will just feel like a punch if it hit you and if low-level monsters die for this in one shot due to her increased level. The second one is Air Slash. She creates a slash of wind in the direction she waves the staff. The third is Air Arrows. She will make air arrows rain for some time. And the fourth one is her current trump card 'Typhoon'. It blows away her targets with a tornado. She can also make a dome-like green barrier with a range of 5 meters.

There are long incantations for the third and fourth ones. I don't understand why but she shouts Zweit before the first three spells. I know that 'Zweit' means 'second' in german but I still don't understand it well. Anyway, all of this requires mana. Once she ran out of it, she can't use magic anymore and she has to start fighting with her staff.

Rino is doing her best just to get praised and showing her love towards me in every way possible. I still didn't fall for her though. I am still in the 'like' zone. I don't know if it will turn into the 'love' zone though.

Anyway, I got a new armor from Uncle Erhard. Well, it's the Barbarian Armor, the one which Naofumi used. Eclair, Rino and even I had second thoughts about the armor. Eclair shouted that I looked like a Villain. Rino complained that she doesn't find that outfit suitable for her hero. But looking at my daughter's sparkling eyes, all of us accepted this armor.

Speaking about my daughter. I am becoming gloomy again. She's already at level 34. I don't know still how much time of her childhood I have with me. I don't know if my heart will be able it once she becomes completely m.a.t.u.r.e. To be honest, I want more memories of her childhood. Two weeks aren't enough. Well, even a thousand years of memories with her aren't enough.

Once she becomes m.a.t.u.r.e, I won't be able to disregard her romantic feelings for me. I won't see her just as my daughter anymore. Will she still call me Daddy once she is grown-up or will she stop it because she thinks it's childish? No! I want her to keep calling me 'Daddy' no matter how big she became. And even if I fell for her, she will keep calling me Daddy!

And my wife is trying her best to stop Rino... Not, as usual. Eclair is a good person even though she is a yandere and it is giving Rino a lot of chances. Well, I don't know what her reaction might be once she knows that her daughter also turned out to be her rival.

Rose is just doing her job. She is still emotionless. I wonder what would bring emotions to her. I can't do anything about her unless I know something about her past. Anyway, Uncle Erhard and Aunt Elaria are having their 'sessions' at least two times a week.

I don't care about tomorrow's Wave but the main problem isn't the Wave, it's the assassins. If my guess is correct, the church will send their men with the soldiers so that it would look like Trash ordered to kill me. If I have more information, I can do something rather than direct offense.

All the others told the plan of sticking with the heroes during the Wave so that we won't be attacked. But they don't know that in this Wave, we will be going in a different direction than the heroes as we will be saving the village. So, I developed a trump card.

Rose appeared and we stopped our training.

Rose: "They are sending a whole platoon to kill you, degozaru."

Rino: "A whole platoon ?!"

Rose: "The knights who are supposed to fight the Wave. All of them are the church's followers, degozaru. All are willing to kill you, degozaru."

Hiro: "So, they don't even care about the people who are going to die because of the Wave huh. Bicas must have been really pissed that day."

Immediately, all of my girls released a huge amount of killing intent. Man, that's too much for me! And my cutest little daughter became even cuter. Eclair is so e.r.o.t.i.c. And Rino... A yandere legal loli. This is too much for me! But I will endure it! I can't get hard in my daughter's presence! I calmed them down and found that I got a nosebleed for enduring too much. I need to enhance my blood production just in case.

Eclair: "I guess, they won't be able to do anything if we stick with the heroes though."

Hiro: "From our previous encounter, Bicas knows that I might try and take help from other heroes. So, the best thing for him to do is to kill one person from another hero's group and shift the blame to me. So, we will keep our distance from the other heroes. And what we will do is..."

I told them my plan. They started smiling.

Eclair: "Seriously, that mind of yours is really something, my dear husband."

But still, the whole platoon huh. No problem, in fact, that's a great thing for me. Instead of searching for good people and leaving them alive, The whole platoon can be just destroyed at once. I already made the plan, the only thing remaining is to execute it. Our preparations for the Wave is complete.
