Sovereign of the Firmaments

"Even if I die, I will not answer anything."

The royal instructor replied in a serious look on his face without any hesitation.

Even though he was defeated and only a moment away from getting killed, the royal instructor was not someone who would let others have their way even if it cost his life.

"Let's see how you will not answer my questions."

Lucas had already expected this and he would have been disappointed if the royal instructor, the strongest one among the three middle-aged men, answered his question that easily.

"You will get nothing from me as I am trained to endure any type of torture."

The royal instructor already knew his death was right in front of him and no matter what he did, he couldn't escape his fate. So, before dying, he wanted to mock Lucas and everyone around him.

Lucas was not at all angry; instead, he looked at the royal instructors with a face full of pity while asking Beck, "Beck,  you know what to do, right?"

"Yes, young master."

Beck knew exactly what she had to do as she looked at the royal instructor.

'Illusion eye'

Beck's eyes glowed with purple light and as the royal instructor looked at her eyes, he felt something was off.

"Ada, it's meal time."

In the next second, the royal instructor saw the white lion beside Beck walk forward as it started munching on him.

The process was slow and the terrifying thing about it was, for the whole process, the royal instructor had his consciousness and felt all the pain.

'Aargh'

It took ten minutes for the white lion to completely eat the royal instructor; however, for the royal instructor, he felt like it was an eternity because of the pain.

'Even if I die, I have to keep my mouth shut.'

'Everything will be over once I die and I will not feel any pain anymore.'

'Once his majesty didn't get any reply from me, he will definitely take revenge on my behalf…at least that's what I hope.'

'Aargh'

While groaning in pain, the royal instructor continued to endure the pain while pushing himself to endure the pain and consoling himself with some things that might happen after his death.

'Finally, my consciousness is fading….I can finally rest in peace.'

Soon, the royal instructor felt his consciousness start disappearing and thought he could rest; however, in the next second something happened that made the royal instructor completely shocked.

"What? How am I still alive?"

The royal instructors looked at his bodies that were still missing his hands; however, the rest of his body was completely intact, making him utterly shocked.

'Repeat.'

Lucas didn't bother to speak anything with the royal instructor as he ordered Beck to repeat the process.

'Aargh'

Once again, the royal instructor saw that the white lion walked forward as it started munching on him and he went through the same pain again.

'Continue'

'Don't stop'

'It's still not enough.'

The process continued to repeat and Lucas ordered Beck to continue as she still had a lot of energy left in her tamer's sea.

Lucas didn't ask the royal instructors any questions until Beck finished the process tenth time and visibly looked a little tired.

Nevertheless, Lucas knew she could go on for another ten more times with her skill 'Illusion eye'.

"Huf…huf."

As for the royal instructor, he slumped to the ground as he gasped for air and he was completely tired with  the munching process again.

"So, shall we continue or are you going to answer my questions?"

Lucas bent a little as he asked the royal instructor with an evil smile on his face.

"I…I will…huf…answer…huf…huf…your questions."

The royal instructor was trained to endure the torture; however, what he was currently undergoing was beyond torture. It was simply nhumane thing to do.

However, to whom would he complain about it?

So, in the end, he decided to just answer Lucas' questions and just wanted to die peacefully.

"If you had agreed to it earlier, you would have saved us two hours for both of us, right?"

That's right!

It took nearly two hours for Beck to make the royal instructor undergo his tortoure session for ten times.

Lucas shook his head as he looked at one of the rank 4 lynxes and ordered, "Heal him just a little."

"Yes, master."

A green coloured lynx nodded its head as it spat a small green coloured orb around the size of a quail egg at the royal instructor which healed his injurieis a little.

"Everyone, the show is over and you can go back now."

Since the enemies had already been taken care of, Lucas ordered everyone except for the few trusted followers away.

"So, let's start the interrogation."

Someone brought a chair for Lucas to sit and sitting on the chair, Lucas started his interrogation.

"How did you know that Beck has awakened the Sovereign grade talent?"

Lucas started his first question asking about Beck's talent.

"We…don't….know about it until we come here."

The royal instructor shook his head as he continued, "We only know that someone in the Barren firmament had awakened the sovereign grade talent in beast taming."

"So, how did you ask me to send her out earlier?"

Lucas raised his brows as he asked the royal instructor about it.

"It is because of the assassin guild leader of the Alverton's royal city. He informed us that the one who awakened the sovereign grade talent was Beck and gave her complete details."

"Assassin guild leader?"

Lucas raised his brows as he heard the royal instructor say, "He said that you will not send her out of your town and you are a special viscount blessed by the Heavens with a town."

"Moreover, he even provided things to temporarily hide your town from the heavens while we destroy it."

'Why would the assassin guild leader of the Alverton town want to kill me? Did the order come from Crystalville's assassin guild?'

Lucas could only think of one enemy that wanted him dead as he thought about it.
