Sovereign of the Firmaments

Currently, in front of Beck, other than the forest fairy, there were four other spirit beasts.

Ada, the winged white lion with the cultivation of low-level rank 3.

Spade, the netherworld's spider.

Dane, the forest imp and Fenris, the silverback wolf.

These three spirit beasts have the same strength of rank 2.

Lastly, the forest fairy that was named Aria has the strength of rank 1.

Without any difficulty, all five spirit beasts became friends, making Beck heave a sigh of relief.

"Everyone, as long as you finish the target, you will get all these beast evolution pills as rewards."

Beck showed the five spirit beasts a small bottle full of pills, making all the spirit beasts heavily nod their heads.

"Good, let's start the hunt."

Soon, Beck and the five highly motivated spirit beasts started their hunt.

In the same Baron grounds, other than Lucas and Beck, the ten squires were also fighting very hard to fulfil the target given by Lucas.

As for Porter, he was secretly watching them and he was ready to make his appearance if any of them were in danger.

However, surprisingly, no matter how many rank 1 spirit beasts were rushing at them, they were able to kill them.

The more they killed, the more powerful and excited they became.

'Looks like, it will not take much time for them to have a breakthrough into the mid-level.'

Porter was satisfied with the battle prowess showcased by the ten young squires.

Even though he only trained them according to Lucas' instruction, he was still called Master by the ten squires. So, the stronger they become, the happier they will become.

Time continued to pass and nearly two hours passed by in a flash.

The host killed 12 rank 1 spirit beasts and 3 rank 2 spirit beasts.

Congratulations to the host for successfully completing the first mission in the Weekly mission series.

Lucas killed the last batch of rank 1 and rank 2 spirit beasts as he got the system notifications.

'I completed it just in time….phew.'

Lucas heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that he had completed the mission and got 100 sovereign points.

'With the 200 sovereign points I got from killing Sawyer and the 100 sovereign points from this mission along with the random sovereign points I got from killing the spirit beasts, I must have more than 400 sovereign points.'

Lucas roughly calculated the sovereign points as he cross-checked it with the system.

'Ding,

Sovereign points:- 432.

'432. I can buy two weeks' worth of weekly items and I can complete one of the two requirements for the sovereign shop's upgrade.'

Lucas felt a little happy that he could upgrade the sovereign shop in the next three weeks.

'Ding,

The second mission from the weekly mission series will be given tomorrow. Please take a good rest until then.

Lucas came out of his thoughts with the system notification as he nodded his head.

'It is time for me to leave the wilderness.'

Just like any other wilderness, the nighttime is the most dangerous time for any human. So, Lucas thought to leave and meet up with others.

'Roar'

However, the shadow wyvern was yet to recover its strength completely and even a rank 3 spirit beast could kill it in its current state.

So, if it returns back to the Viscount grounds, it would be suicide for it. So, it looked at Lucas as though it was asking for help.

"What a pain!

Even though Lucas looked annoyed, he said, "You can follow me back and stay with me until you recover your strength."

Since he had already spared its life, he might as well help it until its strength is recovered.

'Roar'

The shadow wyvern which disliked humans, thanked the first human in its life as it happily roared.

"However, there is a condition to follow me and it is you will be my mount until then. What do you say?"

The shadow wyvern that was happily thanking Lucas for help nearly fell to the ground when it heard Lucas' words.

However, it felt it was not a big deal to a temporary mount until its strength was recovered.

"So, do you agree?"

Lucas asked with a slight smile on his face.

'Nods'

The shadow wyvern felt it was the least thing it could do to its saviour. So, it nodded its head as it would be only a temporary mount.

'Swoosh'

"Good. Let's go."

As soon as he saw the shadow wyvern agree to his request, he directly jumped on its back before guiding it out of the wilderness.

Soon, an injured shadow wyvern and Lucas flew out of the Myriad primordial forest.

Outside the forest, in a place where Lucas decided to meet others after coming out of the forest.

"Do you think something might have happened to the family head?"

One of the young squires looked into the forest as he slowly muttered to the other squire beside him.

"Keep your mouth shut. Nothing will happen to the family head. He will come back soon."

However, Porter rebuked that young squire, making all the young squire keep quiet.

They decided to come out of the forest by the sunset and it's been more than 30 minutes since the sun has gone down. So, they could not help but worry about their family head.

They dare not imagine the consequences of the death of their family head because they would be sent back to the slave house once again.

'Growl'

Soon, they heard a growl from the forest, making everyone alert as they were ready to fight any spirit beast that comes out of the forest.

"Everyone, lower your weapon, it's Miss Beck."

Porter saw a familiar person on the back of the white lion and asked the young squires to lower their weapons.

'What?'

'Miss Beck has a winged white lion?'

All the young squires saw Beck jump off the white lion as she walked towards them and started talking about the winged white lion.

"Where is the young master?"

Beck was already late and when she sensed that Lucas was not here yet, she worriedly asked Porter about him.

"Family head is yet to come back."

Porter shook his head as he respectfully replied to Beck.

Since Beck's status and strength are much higher than him, of course, it was natural for him to respect her.

'Damn it...I should have gone with the young master at that time.'

Beck didn't waste any time as she looked at her white lion and said, "Ada, let's go."

'Roar'

However, the winged white lion didn't go towards Beck; instead, it looked at the forest and released a mighty roar.

"Where do you want to go?"

Just as Beck was wondering why her white lion was roaring at the forest, she heard a familiar voice from that direction as her worried expression turned to relief.

"Nowhere, young master."

Beck casually shook her head and didn't dare to say that she was about to enter the Myriad primordial forest to look for him because she was sure that Lucas would become angry.

"I don't want you to do what you had just thought."

How could Lucas not know what Beck was planning to do? He felt his heart warm when he thought there was someone else other than his little brother in this world that could give their life for him.

However, he didn't want anything to happen to those who care about him. So, he warned Beck in a serious tone.

"Yes, young master."

Beck nodded her head; however, he doubted she would do the same thing if he was ever in danger.

"Everyone, it's already late. So, let's go back and discuss after having a good meal."

Nevertheless, he nodded his head and ordered everyone to return.

'Wow...is that a dragon?'

'It looks powerful despite being injured heavily.'

'As expected of the family head, he is very powerful as he could tame a rank 4 spirit beast just like that.'

'It's not a normal rank 4 spirit beast. It is a dragon.'

However, all the young squires and Porter were looking at the rank 4 shadow wyvern below Lucas' feet and muttered.

"It's not a dragon. It is a wyvern. To be more specific, it is a shadow wyvern."

Seeing that the shadow wyvern became the center of attraction, Lucas shook his head as he informed them about the shadow wyvern.

Soon, they started travelling back to their residence.

'Even though I killed some rank 3 spirit beasts, they were not suitable for me to use them to enter the Lesser knight rank.'

Along the way, Lucas thought about his breakthrough.

Today, he got side-tracked by many things and didn't have enough time to search for a suitable rank 3 spirit beast for him to enter the Lesser knight realm.

'Tomorrow, I should complete the second mission from the weekly series as soon as possible before searching for a rank 3 spirit beast.'

So, Lucas decided what he had to do tomorrow.

"Young master, should we sell the spirit beast corpse we killed today?"

Just as he decided about tomorrow. Lucas heard Porter's suggestion and shook his head before saying,

"There will be so many adventurers selling their gains from the wilderness. Let's not enter; instead, go and ask Shawn to come to the manor tonight."

"Yes, family head."

Porter changed his direction towards the adventurer's guild.

"Once I enter the lesser knight rank, I can try entering the dungeon."

After Porter left, Lucas once again came back to his thinking and thought about the dungeon.
