SUPREME VISION SYSTEM

Chapter 56 - A BIG U TURN!

If they did not gather the money right away, God forbid but what if he really did turn blind forever. What would happen then? He was not in his right mind. But she...she could not let that happen.

"Ok, then mom. Do whatever the hell you want but I m not getting any help from that person. "

Cole pointed his finger to his mother. He was breathing high and was very angry at that time. He was feeling his rock bottom and at that point he just wanted his mother to agree with him.

Why was she hell-bent ongoing against him? Why was she trying to call the person who had given her nothing but misery? Why was she not understanding that the person who had not been there for them eighteen long years, why would he want to be a part of their life then?

"Cole. It is about your future. " Ivory whispered, yelled.

"No mom. It is not. I don't care." Cole replied walking backward.

"You will turn blind if we don't take action!!!" Ivory screamed back.

Cole's eyes widened as he heard his mother pronouncing out his worse fear out to him. She...she thinks that...that there was the possibility of him turning blind? She...she believed that he..he might lose his vision forever?

Ivory shut her mouth off right away when she realized what she just blurted out. It..it just slipped out of her mouth and she could not control it anymore.

She did not know whom to blame either for she knew that it was not right for her to voice out her son's worst fear herself. She being the mother...it...it was not right.

But it was too late now as she could see that the damage had been done. Now there was no turning back as she saw her son, stepping more backward slowly and slowly like he was drifting apart from her.

"Cole...Cole..."

She called out for him as she strode forward, trying to reach out for him as he moved backward now faster than before.

She could see his tears resting on the edge of his eyes, trying so hard not to roll down his cheeks. She bit her lips as she tried to control the hard sobs that might echo out anytime now.

"Cole...Cole...Lis...listen...to me..."

Ivory called out drawing her both hands out, showing that she did not mean any harm to him as she saw fear reflecting from his eyes. She had instilled the fear, the scariness of the dark future that could be waiting for him...him in the near future.

Cole did not listen to his mother anymore as he wanted to be anywhere but there and as he stepped backward, his vision got black once again.

He could only hear his mother calling out for him as darkness loomed over him and then he realized that this was something how his future would look like.

He could not believe that his worst fear was going to turn into a reality in the near future. Did not matter how brave or hard he was, he tried to act like that.

It did not matter if he would try to deny the truth and move forward, looking up at the sky, daydreaming that there was still hope somewhere there but which he knew was not there.

The sun had already set and now everything was dark. The whiteness had covered the background now showing that there was nothing to feel anymore.

It was over. It was empty. It was hopeless. What a destiny his fate had planned for him? His mother was just voicing out the truth...the story of his life.

Cole at that moment wanted nothing more than just to escape...escape that reality and run away and never return ever.

So he turned back, ignoring the voices of his mother as he started running visionless, not knowing where he was going. Not like that he wanted to know it either.

He just wanted to escape...hideaway somewhere where his dark fate could never find him. He wanted to hide where the sky kissed the land and lay in between there, closing his eyes forever.

"Cole...Cole...come back here....don't..please don't run away...come here...I promise it will be alright...boy come back here..."

Ivory closed her eyes, sighing in defeat as she saw her boy, her son running away from her. From a reality that he did not want to turn into reality. She could sense his fears, his anxiety, his everything.

The snow fell off from the sky. Light, soft snowflakes rested on Cole's cheeks as he continued to run away...closing his eyes off.

He did not know if his vision had returned or not as his eyes were closed but he did not care anymore. His breathing high, huffing as he did know how long he had been running and to where.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself in the middle of the park. He had come too far but it felt like he did not.

He felt like he failed in escaping his future. His dark fate...the gloomy destiny that waited for him in the future, riding away on the horse following after him.

He had come to this park since he was a kid and now he knew the way to its path even closing his eyes. Maybe...maybe that was how he would have to make it work when his pair of eyes would turn useless.

He saw people leaving the park, children running away as the snow started falling rapidly. The white ball of softness covered the brownish ground, resting on the wet pad of the green grass.

Cole sat down on the bench as he tried to relate himself with the natural thinking that this pain...this feeling of anxiety would not last forevermore.

What he did not know that at that exact moment, his future was going to take a big u-turn?
